You love your teammates, but there are so many other awesome players in the league. What if you got to play with them?

Task

Written option: Choose 5 other SMJHL players who are NOT on your team to complete a starting lineup that includes yourself. Use whatever criteria you want and tell us about it and/or how the six of you would get along if you did play together. Must include 150 words.

Graphic option: Make a graphic depicting you + your 5 choices - could be a magazine cover, an All-Star roster announcement, a dream you once had, whatever. Must include at least one render.

Reward
4 TPE for doing the thing. (Just one, not both.)

Only S47 SMJHL Rookies (S48 SHL Rookies) are eligible for this PT.

You cannot claim TPE for this PT until a post is made in the global claim thread.

Deadline Sunday 5/19 @ 10am cst

Siberia Sports asked St. Louis Centerman, Mika Kandinsky to name five other players around the league other than his own team, who he'd like to play with on a starting lineup.  Here is what he had to say:

If I had to pick five other guys to play with, I'd want to play with some of the best in the league.  I'm a competitive guy and I want to play with the best.  Although there are a few rookie's who I think are really good as well who I had a good time playing in the prospect showcase with.  My five would be:

1. Atlas Rush  raiders - We played together in the prospect showcase and had a great time.  He's a great guy and I'd like to play with him again someday.
2. Travis Bitties  Falcons - I want to play with Travis because he went first overall.  He's so good and I think we'd do well together.
3. Xena  Armada - Xena has 41 points in 42 games, what else do I have to say.
4. Osbert Whacker Outlaws - Osbert has the most points out of all the defenseman in the league.  Do you see a theme here?  He'd be our only defenseman.  I am good two way player, so we only really need one defenseman.
5. Patrice Nadeau  Lions - Patrice is the leading goalie in the league right now and so I think he'd be an easy choice to be in net with us.  It would maximize our chances for this heavy offensive lineup.

I think this lineup would be really fun to play with and hard to play against.  I think I'd learn a lot from the mix of characters in here and I'd get to reunite with my pal Atlas Rush.  So that's my choices!
Recently the Detroit Post asked Detroit Falcons defensemen Oliver Cleary who his starting 5 made up of other members of the SMJHL would be. Here is what he had to say:

Billy Sorokin
“Obviously if you're going to have to take any other goalie than your guy, Billy Sorokin is the easy pick. He's part of the defending champs and knows what it takes to win games. I'd love to be playing in front of him”

Osbert Whacker
“As a guy who plays a more defence-first game, you obviously want to have the best offensive defensemen lining up next to you. In that case, I'd take Osbert Whacker standing next to me. He's currently got 38 points this season and I think that I'd be able to cover for any mistakes he might make.

Freddie Sweeney
“Freddie Sweeney is more of a personal pick for me. He's a buddy of mine and we had hoped we'd be playing together this season. Obviously it did not happen but in this case, I'll take him as a starter.”

Hiro Fujikawa
“Much like Whacker, you always want to play with the guys who are producing the most offence. Right now that is Hiro Fujikawa. He's currently leading the league with 43 points and I'd love to see him carrying my team.”

Xena
“For my last pick, I'd love to have Xena's goal-scoring prowess on the top line. I think that Xena and Whacker would mesh really well. Hey, maybe I'd even chip in every now and then with an assist.”

So there you have it. Cleary's ideal starting lineup would be:

Xena-Fujikawa-Sweeney
Whacker-Cleary
Sorokin

Center - Scarecrows Mika Kandinsky @Mika_Kandinsky - Kandinsky and I played really well together in the prospect showcase! He was one of the rookies who really stood out to me this year and I think he is well on his way to building a stud of a player! He will be a very good selection for whatever SHL drafts him! I really do hope we can see what Kandinsky and Rush can do together in either the SMJHL or SHL!

Right Wing - Scarecrows Nicolas Fleming @Nereus - This is a personal choice for me as I got to draft his last player when I was the general manager of the Prince George Firebirds. He was a fantastic player and a great leader and I am sure he is continuing those desired aspects in the scarecrows locker room with him new player.

Defence - Militia Oliver Klozoff @Alex Mack - I kind of got to be team mates with him two players ago during the golden age of the dragons dynasty! I kind of went inactive around that time so I didn’t get to interact with him as much as I would have like but he seems like a great gent and anybody to play for the dragons is in the good books for me

Defense - Knights big fudge @HabsFanFromOntario - another personal pick for me as Habs has had a couple of players come through the Prince George Firebirds/ Regina Force when I was in charge of the team. He was always a great cheerleader and a positive locker room presences.

Goalie - Raptors Alexander Thorstrom @Jesster - A dragons legend... need I say more! Everyone should know who jesster is on this forum if not you need to look him up and say hi in the process. He is a great locker room presences and builds fantastic players. This is evident with his most recent player being selected 2nd overall. For a goalie this is quite high. If Thorstrom is anything like his new goalie we have another SHL Hall of Famer on our hands!

center - left wing - right wing
Mika Kandinsky - Atlas Rush - Nicolas Fleming
Defense - defense
Oliver Kozoff - Big Fudge
Goalie
Alexander Thorstrom

While all the forwards group I think it is nicely balanced with offence from Fleming, a strong two way game from Kandinsky and a hard nosed hard hitting style from Rush. All of the forwards have a shoot first mentality our defense will thrive at distributing the puck to the forwards while still playing responsibility in our own end with the comfort of knowing thorstrom is standing tall in net
This is honestly a really cool Point Task. It did not take me that long to realize who I would want in my starting lineup. Just had to think of the people I have spoken to the most around the board and this is what I came up with.

FORWARDS
Falcons  Travis Bitties - The first overall pick, Travis Bitties has been tearing it up as a rookie. And also, he was one of the people that I talked to the most when I joined the league. We tried to complete the Mock Draft together and massively failed haha. A lot of surprises happened at the draft that we did not see but hey, it was all in good fun

Raptors  Calogero Crudelli - Been friends with this guy for a long time and would love to have him set up at the circle with me. He was one opf the reasons that I dedided to come back to the SHL and I thank him for that. It keeps me busy, Ive been having a great time here and I guess we are all making connections through this. Its aone of the best pass times you could have.

Outlaws  Lallo Selman - Talked a lot with him in the offseason and I also know him in real life. Wouldnt have minded to end up in Anaheim if thats how the chips would have fell. He would the captain of my starting lineup since he is the oldest of all of them. Someone needs to lead us and he has the most experience as a player and as a user of this lineup.

DEFENSEMAN
Whalers  Kaspars Claude - Enough said Wink

Raptors  Mikelis Ozolins - I am too lazy to go and add the accents in your name so do not bust please. But he is also the other reason why I decided to come back to the SHL. We kind of all made the deicsion to create players in the same draft and it would be some friendly competition. Plus, Mikelis, Calogero and Myself are all Latvian boys so it makes it funner when we get to play together in the WJC and hopefully in the IIHF tournaments eventually. Latvia babyyyy  Latvia

GOALTENDER
Raptors  Alexander Thorstrom - Third Colorado Raptor the charm. Man, thinking about this lineup, I am not even too sure how we would do. Colrado aint doing so good in the season this year (shots fired). But in all seriousness, I remember Jesster from when I signed up in the SHL in S3 or S6, do not remember since it was so far away. The inaugral pick in this site with Ryan Jesster, this guys a legend. You gotta take him in the starting lineup of your fictional team if you want a chance at winning something. I guess this is more of a U23 team rather than a starting lineup of pros haha. But give these 6 guys, including myself, a little bit of time and we shall see how dominant we will be in the SHL and the SMJHL

The Kaspars Claude starting 5. Not sure if it will be the best starting 5. But to me, it is
LW: Waffles Man (with Dickens Makeout-King as a very close second)
C: Ja'Aj Coitus-Wagg
RW: Tah Puhcheese (das me)
D: Big Fudge
D: Touncie Bitties
G: Harry Carpet

I think you're understanding the theme by now. Before you today, I have assembled the six greatest names to grace today's SMJHL. Up front you'll have two guys distracting the opposition with their waffles and coitus, while Puhcheese lives up to his name and shelves pucks where mommy hides the cookie jar. Back on defence Tig ol Touncie Bitties will intimidate opponents with his, well, touncing bitties and it's impossible to get a shot past Big Fudge as his chocolate ass takes up half the width of the ice. Finally, Harry Carpet will lay down the law as the last line of defense on this absolutely stacked roster, and you can be damn sure that his curtains match, don't you dare insinuate otherwise.

Honestly if we were all together we'd be legit unstoppable. Sixty minutes a night, every night, undefeated season, all that jazz.
I wanted to put a line-up together that had the best chance at scoring goals, so I took some of the top shooting percentage players, who are all in the top ten for points for their position, except me, but I figure playing with these dudes I'd get up there pretty fast!

C -  Matt Kholin -  raiders - 18G / 40 points - SHT % - 17.65%

#2 in the league for SHT% and only three points back from the league point leader, not too shabby.

F - Colin Gibbles -  Outlaws - 19G / 41 points - SHT % - 16.67%

#4 in in the league for SHT%, this right winger would fit very nicely in this line-up which focuses solely on scoring.

F - Travis Bitties -  Falcons - 12G / 30 points - SHT % - 16.67%

#5 in the league for SHT%, the #1 overall draft pick in this past SMJHL draft, Travis has been having an awesome rookie campaign. I'm sure his sht % has quite a bit to do with that.

D - Jules Watt -  Raptors - 10G / 29 points - SHT % - 17.86%

#1 in the league for SHT %, ranked 9th in the league for points by a defender, with double digits in the goals column, when looking to score, this is your defender.

D - Lyle Odelein III -  Scarecrows - 2G / 7 points - SHT % - 15.38%

This is me, no where near my line mates in terms of points, but pretty darn close in shooting percentage.

G - Patrice Nadeu -  Lions  - 17 wins / 5 shutouts - Save % - 0.912%

Figured that we'd need the goalie with the best save percentage, since the rest of the team will just be firing pucks on net, we should have the best playing behind us.

Well that's it, that is my ideal line-up to get all of the best shooters (plus Lyle) in the league on the ice at the same time.  And before you start asking questions like, who is going to pass the puck to all these shooters, I am happy to inform you that Patrice Nadeu is tied for the most assists by a goalie, with 2.  So problem solved!
W - Jarry Mander  Outlaws

C - Mika Kandinsky  Scarecrows

W - Gunnar Petrov  Outlaws

D - Piotr Horvat  Knights

D - Anastasia O'Koivu  Raptors

G - Aleksi O'Koivu-Volkova  Militia

This is strictly a team Russia lineup. The offensive upside of the forward corp is pretty high. All three players are high TPE earners, and the two defenders are potentially going to be two of the best shut down defenders in the league. This is the lineup that will lead Russia back to the promised lands. Russia looks to be sitting pretty in terms of their prospect pool and only recently being able to compete as a team in the World Juniors, this might be the lineup that gets them back on to the podium. With that said I didn’t choose to get this lineup for their immediate success, which they may have, but more to start getting a good look at how they play together.
Just going to pick a team based on coolest names. Most people are doing it by skill but I’ll switch it up a bit and have some fun.

F- Hiro Fujikawa. One of the top players in the SMJHL, he’s a goal scorer who would be a stud on any team.
F- Knute Knurtsson. A playmaking, two way forward. He’d be a great set up man for the two scorers.
F- Nick Brain. A sniper, playmaker and now a power forward. This is a formidable line that can do it all.
D- Johnny Sins. Come on, how can you not. Every good team needs a pornstar in its ranks. I’ve seen hundreds of this guys movies!
D- Dominic Montgomery. TPE king of the minors! As a goalie, I need a true #1 to protect me. This is a guy I’d love to have on my side!
G- Kasperi Braulin (me!)

Exactly 150 words
G - Patrice Nadeau - Has the highest save % so makes sense to pick him

D - Joln DuBolk - Currently has the most shots blocked so would be great to have him in the team for me.

D - Johnny Sins - 100% because of the name, damn near a must pick. No-one is getting past his D.

F - Monkey D. Luffy - The fact that he has the joint 2nd most amount of goals this season all the while fighting Katakuri and the big mama pirates at the same time should show you how much will is in this kid. Not the brightest nor do I think him asking people if they poop is useful but he will become king of the pirates and that has to be good trading ammo if he doesn't perform for the team!

F - Michael Fox - Has a lot of assists, will be able to help Luffy score hopefully. Luffy the help of the crew so why not someone who is an assist machine.

And then finally me, who wouldn't get into this team whatsoever right now. But I think we'd have a lot of fun playing.

All SMJHL Rookie Team

Center – Scarecrows Mika Kandinsky – He played extremely well in the prospect showcase and I was impressed with what I saw. He’s seemed to translate his game over to the SMJHL well and will continue to get better.
Right Wing – Falcons Travis Bitties – There’s a reason he went first overall at the SMJHL entry draft. He’s had an insane rookie season on Detroit and I think my passing skill would compliment his ability to put the puck in the net.
Defense – Whalers Kaspars Claude – A big two-way defenseman hailing from Latvia, he’d be perfect to push the pace of the game and get pucks on net.
Defense – raiders Jaakko Jarvinen – A perfect defensive defenseman to stay back while Claude hops up into the attacking zone. I think this defensive combo would be stout at the back with the ability to put up points with ease.
Goalie – Raptors Alexander Thorstrom – He’s having a stellar season as a first year goaltender that’s been on a mediocre COL team all year. He’s been left out to dry countless times yet still boasts a top ten save percentage.
Timmo Kyllonen's super team of Finland!

1.  Falcons Raino Kyllönen [Center]

Raino is an obvious choice to choose to play with, he is a stellar playmaking centerman with an amazing 37 points in 49 games this season (10 goals, 27 assists). If Kyllonen was to amass his super team of Finland, Raino would be the number one first line center!

2.  Whalers Sami Reider [Wing]

Center Sami is an easy choice to spearhead super team of Finland into may championships! Through 48 games this season he has an incredible 30 points! (13 goals, 17 assists)

3.  Militia Heikki Jaakola [Wing]

Jaakola is an SMJHL rookie this season, but his performance has made people, including myself notice him. He would be a superb addition to super team of Finland as a play making winger. He has only had 6 assists this season in 49 games, but soon enough Heikki would be a Finnish star I would love to play with!

4.  Armada Kalevi Karhunen [Defense]

Kalevi is an easy choice to play with, pure Finnish blood and an amazing defenseman as well! He has 26 points in 49 games (4 goals, 22 assists) and an amazing 61 shots blocked with 45 hits! Kalevi would be one of my picks for my super team of Finland roster.

6.  raiders  Timmo Kyllonen [Defense]

I am a two way centerman but if we're trying to keep this roster stacked with Finns then a sacrafice has to be made, Kyllonen would play defense on this roster!

7.  Whalers  Jimmy Slothface [Goalie]

Jimmy was born in Finland so his is of course Finnish blood, although you wouldn't know by his last name. Timmo and Jimmy played together before on Halifax before the trade and super team of Finland could use him back for nostalgia's sake. Slothface would need to make the move to goaltender for this team and it shouldn't be an issue for a player with a complete knowledge of the game.
While, I myself am a rookie I would love to take a look at the boys with who I would love to play together and the ones that might and will be a treat to ooponents later in the development process.
My pick for goalkeeper is Kasperi Braulin between rookie goalkeeper most games played and had a pretty decent save percent. Just under 90%
In defense Noah Tedla with 20 points and -2.

Satoshi Zigzagooney Another D with great scoring touch. 22 points and +3

Let’s start or offense of with Travis Bitties. Leading rookie scorer this year 32 points
And as a last one Joe Kerr 24 points. Really think that this line up could move a puck around very well and should be able to make demage to every opponent. With some small adjustments this line up could put up more than 170 points during a season. Yea, maybe sometimes this line up could allow more than a few goals, but could easily outscore the opponents.
