The Sarmad Khan goes to the MVP as voted by the players.

This year's winner, by a unknown-to-me margin, is....

Surprising no one, F Theo Morgan of Hamilton @Otrebor13

RE: S59 Awards Show - hhh81 - 06-18-2021

Next up we have the Anton Razov Trophy for the Playoffs MVP.

Honorable mention to Elizabeth Doyle @Evok for being a good goalie as ever, and to Theo Kondos @Ohtaayof Texas, for putting up 16 points to lead Texas, including 4 in the finals.

Renegades Bjorn Leppanen @puolivalmiste Renegades

16 GP, 3-10-13, +14, 35 SOG, 38 SB, 50 hits, 1.5 GA/60, 26.3 SA/60

In finals had 0-6-6, 15 SB, 14 hits as a primary force for the champn Renegades. He was stout as they come throughout the playoffs. I’ve honestly been nominating this guy for seasons for awards, because his strong shutdown play has gone unnoticed for a long time. No longer!

Renegades Cillian Kavanagh @takethehorizon Renegades

16 GP, 12-3-1, 2.1 GAA, 0.934 SV%

This man went on a rampage through the playoffs with an inhuman 0.934 SV% against Seattle, Hamilton, and Buffalo on their way to hoisting the Cup. Not much more can be said about the super star showcase he put on against some of the best of the league.

Stampede Augustus Wang @Ferda Stampede

19 GP, 7-18-25, +19, 4 PPP, 81 SOG, 22:41 TOI, 39 SB, 22 hits

While BUF struggled in the finals, Wang continued his torrid pace, putting up a PPG pace in the finals. He led playoff scorers with 25 points and was an important contributor in each series for the runner up Stampede.

despite my best efforts, the formatting on that post told me to go fuck myself.

Thanks, formatting.

The winner, by a healthy margin was....

Cillian Kavanagh @takethehorizon Renegades!!!!

Congrats!

RE: S59 Awards Show - luke - 06-18-2021

congrats!

RE: S59 Awards Show - hhh81 - 06-18-2021

There's but one award left.

Formatting is a pain, and honestly added more time to this show.

RE: S59 Awards Show - hhh81 - 06-18-2021

The Ron Mexico goes to the player the awards committee considered the Most Valuable Player in the league.

We have three finalists, but first, let's recognize our honorable mentions.

Harry Carpet of Toronto Stars @Carpy48 tried to will Toronto to the playoffs, but fell a hair short. He was the best goalie in the league, clearly, because awards committee never makes any mistakes ever.

Mike Kandinsky of Toronto Stars @Mika_Kandinsky --I don't know why; I didn't get the explanation. Guess someone thought he was more important to Toronto than Mr. Carpet? Congrats all the same for being good at hockey!

Lyle Odelein III @Huck24 of New Orleans Specters who was without question the fantasy MVP this season. Don't argue about it. If you're arguing you're one of the many people who didn't get to draft him and saw your butt get handed to you by Easy Mode Odelein. Jokes aside, he played as well as he could have on a bad team, blocking shots like he was the starting GD goalie. NOLA was bad, but can you imagine how much worse they would have been without him?

Aaron Wilson of Hamilton Steelhawks @aaronwilson. He did Aaron Wilson things, was the 2nd highest scorer in the league on a dominant offensive line for Hamilton. In any other season he'd probably be a finalist, but he had a teammate that kinda did something historic.
