Dominic Montgomery Retires - bilbo - 02-27-2022
SHL, sorry I haven't been very active, but helloooo (and goodbye)! Dom is officially washed up, so it's time he hung up his skates and went back to working on his boat. It's also fitting to retire him today, since he's in Boston and this is actually his and Leopold Lockhart's dating anniversary. I'm sure you were all very aware of this date.
Since I don't have plans to recreate, I also want to take a moment to say thanks.
When it comes to Dom, thanks to all the incredible people I first met on the Halifax Raiders back in 2018. Y'all really re-inspired my love for the SHL. Then onto the Pride, Team Great Britain, Wolfpack, and Inferno--everyone I've met on the SHL with Dom has made staying here for six plus years worth it.
With my first player Dieter, thanks to everyone on the Knights, Team Germany, and of course the Wolfpack. Every time I've ever thought about writing this retirement post, I always think I'll type something really long about how much the Wolfpack meant to me with both Dieter and Dom. It was where I first found a home in the online hockey community, home of the softpack, Overwatch-learning, and just online friendhood past a couple people I'd met before.
I hope to roam around all the Discord servers for years to come. I still think fondly of so many of you.
