But that wouldn't be original.
What about retooling back to the cup contending team. Trade to get back all the pieces you can. The winning.

Finished the regular season, topped the vision and came 3rd in the West.

Got Spezza at the deadline for our second line.
Bounced Sharks in the first round 4-1. Currently facing St.Louis (Who have Kesler since Ducks decided to blow everything up). Blues lead series 2-1 and have blasted me 4-0 in the last two games. LA vs Chicago is the other series in the west. Red Wings beat the Leafs in game 7 without Howard since he is out for a good 3 more months after taking a UCL tear around the 72 game mark.

Beat the Blues, tough series. Beat the Kings, reaaaaaally difficult. Stanley Cup Finals and ... Well, the Capitals turned out to be an easy team that took advantage of Detroit missing Howard.

Conn Smythe surprised me. Went to Ovechkin and not Miller. Ovi only had 13 goals, and 22 points in 22 games. Straaaange. Miller finished 2nd.
Desjardins won Adams. Miller for save % award and Vezina. Miller 2nd all-star team (wdf ikr but Quick had a pretty damned good year). Ryan didn't make any all-star teams because Stammer can also play RW *shrug*.
Goal Accomplished. Took one season. Hm... What next guys?
