It's not that the signs aren't there. I had a vote for HFFO, but in this case, it is in the villagers best interest to keep you both alive, because one of you is the doctor. It keeps Gooney alive. If we kill you as the doc tonight, then Gooney dies tomorrow. You give him the opportunity for at least one more night alive which is more beneficial than playing martyr just to prove HFFO is the fake doc and can't save anyone.
