RE: S43 SHL Awards Show - ztevans - 10-23-2018 Hello, and welcome to the S43 SHL Awards Show! I’m ztevans, and I’ll be your host this evening as we reward and acknowledge the top performers from the most recent season. It’s been a while since I’ve done this, so I’ll probably suck. I also hate all of you equally, and more importantly on this occasion … I’M NOT ON THE COMMITTEE ANYMORE! I haven’t been for a couple of seasons anymore. So yell at me, don’t yell at me, whatever. Your weapons cannot harm me! Whoa, put that gun away, I was kidding. Alright, let's get started! RE: S43 SHL Awards Show - ztevans - 10-23-2018 As always, we start by honoring the newly crowned Challenge Cup Champions, those bastards. Once upon a time not so long ago, people thought this franchise was cursed. Now, with two championships in three seasons, it’s safe to say those days are behind them. Congratulations to your Season 43 Challenge Cup Champions, for the fourth time in franchise history, the West Kendall Platoon! *clenches fist underneath podium* RE: S43 SHL Awards Show - ztevans - 10-23-2018 Next, we present the trophies for conference champions. Winning the Mathias Chouinard Trophy as Eastern Conference Champions, the West Kendall Platoon! Facing West Kendall in the Challenge Cup Finals after winning the Cole Reinhart Trophy, winning the Western Conference for the eighth time in franchise history, the Winnipeg Jets! RE: S43 SHL Awards Show - ErM - 10-23-2018 Hyped to win an award!!!!.....oh....wait....I suck! RE: S43 SHL Awards Show - ztevans - 10-23-2018 For the last of the team awards, the Presidents’ Trophy goes to the top-performing team in the 50-game regular season. For better or worse (I certainly have an opinion!), one team has claimed a deed of trust on this honor, winning it in three of the past four seasons. Returning from a playoff absence last year and going back to the top of the SHL standings, this year’s Presidents Trophy goes to the Winnipeg Jets! RE: S43 SHL Awards Show - ztevans - 10-23-2018 10-23-2018, 08:06 PMErM Wrote: Hyped to win an award!!!!.....oh....wait....I suck! It's okay. I remember when I used to win awards for all of one season. I'm right there with you these days. But enough about us, on to people who are winning awards, the leading individual statistical performers in Season 43. First, the Mike Honcho Trophy, presented to the goalie with the fewest goals allowed each season. This season, the Mike Honcho Trophy goes to Winnipeg’s Artom Zhumbayev! This is Zhumbayev’s second career Honcho Trophy. Congratulations, @fever95! RE: S43 SHL Awards Show - ztevans - 10-23-2018 Next is the Turd Ferguson Trophy, which goes to the SHL player who spent the most time in the penalty box during the season. The league is entering a confusing, woe-begotten time in regards to this award – a time where there is no Danny “Bananas” Foster to set the bar for on-ice tomfoolery and malice. Who will usher us into that new day? Fedor Shirobokov of the Calgary Dragons, with 102 penalty minutes in Season 43. Congratulations, @Confusion! RE: S43 SHL Awards Show - JSS - 10-23-2018 y am i here when i know damn well im not winning an award RE: S43 SHL Awards Show - DeletedAtUserRequest - 10-23-2018 10-23-2018, 08:11 PMztevans Wrote: Next is the Turd Ferguson Trophy, which goes to the SHL player who spent the most time in the penalty box during the season.
