The Los Angeles Panthers are proud to announce contract extensions for three key player that will see each stay in Los Angeles for multiple seasons.

First up is winger Lightning Jones! Jones was a 1st round pick of the Panthers in the season 41 draft and has been a key part of the Panthers bottom six forward group for the past few seasons. We feel that Jones' best days on the ice are still ahead of him and we're glad that he will continue his career playing for the Panthers. Jones provides excellent depth at the moment but don't be surprised to see him play a bigger role for the team in the near future, maybe as soon as next season.

Next is former captain and Stevens award winning defenseman, Matthew Leetch! Matthew is one of the best players in Panthers history and the team is thrilled that he will remain with the team. Leetch is still a very productive player despite not playing at the elite level he once did for a number of seasons when he was in his prime. Leetch still chips in offensively and he finished last season with a +10 plus/minus rating.

And finally, the best back-up goaltender in league history, Ben Holtby! Holtby has been reliable in net whenever the Panthers have called his number. Holtby started 11 games for the Panthers last season, as his hot play down the stretch helped the Panthers steal some important games. Holtby will continue to serve as the Panthers back-up goaltender and may find himself playing more important games in the future.
