It's a very minimal workload, essentially the appeals committee is typically only needed once or twice a season. When head office makes a decision and the user feels they made a mistake they can come to the appeals team with their argument. We review all the details and determine if HO made the correct call or not. This could mean adjusting the original punishment, negating it entirely, or leaving it exactly how it is. The job pay is fairly low when no appeals are coming in but for each appeal we pay an extra 2m.
