Rainbow Dash arrived at the awards showing wearing a stunning dress designed for her by Rarity of Carousel Boutique fame. Complete with golden laurels, a flowing rainbow dress hemmed with clouds and purple beads around her neck with golden boots on her feet and her mane brushed so it was flowing like nobody had ever seen, the Dragons winger was turning heads as she walked out of her blue lamborghini with racing stripes which transitioned colours as they went back on the car. The rims of the wheels were lit with colour changing LEDs that slowly transition colours as it runs. She arrived alone to the awards show, but sat with her teammates in a Calgary Dragons designated seating area.

While social media was abuzz with Rainbow Dash's outfit at the awards show, her presence at the awards show as soon forgotten as commentators soon realized she wasn't even nominated for a single award. However, the "Rainbow Dash dress" quickly became a hit among girls around the world, and the photo of Dash arriving at the red carpet is the #1 most viewed image on the league website for the week.

Svensson hasn't really accomplished anything of not yet, so his first 'red carpet' experience was the unveiling of a locally made indie movie in a suburb of Montreal. He got the invitation through one of his friends, and he read 'red carpet' so he made sure to suit up properly. We're talking the full nine yards - freshly tailored suit, brand spanking new shoes and and a tie so glamorous it hurt to look at.

As he still isn't really a man of great means when it comes to wealth, he had to rent a fancy car, but he made sure it was a somewhat flashy Audi. As soon as he stepped out of the car he realized something was off - first off, there was no one to hand the keys over to!? Upon closer inspection, none of the other people present at the opening of the movie were really dressed up at all - we're talking untucked shirts here, people. So sticking out like a sore thumb he started wondering if he had actually arrived at the right place - and that was when he noticed the rug he was standing on. The supposed red carpet, though calling it that is a stretch by any means of the imagination. This thing might've been red once upon a time, but it had adopted a suspicious shade of brown with use over the years.

Anyways, like the trooper he is he simply grit his teeth and sat through this charade while having fingers pointed at him and laughs behind his back. He figured that at the very least it'll build character, right?

Karsten Kadinger didn't put much of an effort into his appearance at the red carpet. While other players were donning their best suits, arriving in extravagantly expensive vehicles and showing off the fruits of their long, hard contract negotiations, Kadinger arrived in a tweed sports jacket, blue jeans and a plain black t-shirt. Striking the image of a semi-casual college professor, Kadinger climbed out of a low-price family vehicle (a Honda Civic, to be precise) and made his way towards the venue with a couple of friends who, it must be noted, put more effort into their appearance than him. When asked about his rather mundane look, Kadinger reportedly stated that he had put on more muscle in the off-season, and accordingly was unable to fit into the suits he usually wore. Rather than rent something on short notice, he decided to arrive in something a little more comfortable.

Others that know Kadinger report that he holds awards shows in low esteem, generally speaking, and some wonder if his appearance was an attempt to dispel the illusion that surrounds them. Of course, this low opinion may have as much to do with his empty trophy case as it does with any kind of moral judgement. Either way, the image of the German defender in jeans next to some of the SHL's best is one that won't be forgotten for quite a long time.

While the event is typically special for most, with Aleksi O'Koivu Volkova coming off a relatively quiet season the event felt the same. Donning a grey suit with an accented Montreal-Blue tie, Aleksi kept it simple as he sat next to the ever exuberant Chuck Crutchfield. Crutchfield, in a tux with missing sleeves drew much attention from nearby players as he seemed to have a never-ending pina colada in hand at all times. The buzz in the row of seats mainly revolved around the over under on Chucky getting brain freeze or puking all over the row of Falcons in front of him. Unfortunately, as the Militia season concluded so did the fireworks of what could be as Crutch just continued to guzzle down the coladas unfazed. Aleksi was very impressed... but at the end of the day, the preparation already had commenced for the next season and the night was a forgettable one.

Brennan Kennedy Jr. showed up to the red carpet of the SHL Awards Show in a stretch limo, as he spilled out of the limo a few other familar faces rolled out of the limo behind him. His defensive partner for the seaon came out after Kennedy, with fellow Dragons teammates, Mikael Choybuk and Rainbow Dash close behind. It seemed to be a bit of a rookie bonding experience for the teammates and it appeared they had maybe imbibed a little too much. "Whese tha dam Monkey gusdy" is what appeared to come out of Kennedys mouth, once can only assume he meant former Lion counterpart, Monkey D. Luffy. "Chico Smeb is best Smeb", Chico kept on screaming, all while Choybuk and Dash struggled to crawl, let alone walk down the red carpet. Luckily before the 4some could cause to much of a scene, Mike Izzy and Otis B. Driftwood had heard about the commotion adn came to gather their teammates. "Sorry guys, first awards show for them" Izzy was heaad saying as he passed by the reporters with Kennedy and Smeb under each arm as he drug them away. Needless to say it was an awards show that everyone, except for the Dragons young 4 stars, won't forget.

The only only red carpet moment Ignatius Blunt has had to date was a nomination of most underrated player in Juniors. He was so underrated, he didn't win it but still, It was an honour to be nominated. He appeared at the big show in a sidecar driven by a monkey riding a bike. It was a pretty talented monkey, he probably had a better chance at winning, but this monkey was not underrated. He was outstanding. The monkey actually parked the bike and joined Ignatius on the red carpet as his chaperone. BY the time the show ended and Ignatius walked away empty handed, the monkey had actually won the hearts of everyone there and was invited to all of the after parties. He appeared at the party wearing an Armani tuxedo and the finest in Bauer's roller skates. He made the night unforgettable for so many people and Ignatius was rarely heard from again. The monkey has gone on to earn millions in endorsements and is living in a tree house in Florida drinking banana daiquiris from a coconut. It is suspected he will shortly enter his name for the 2020 American Presidential campaign.

Although it was perhaps a shock to many, Reginald Rove, left wing for the Manhattan Rage, was in fact invited to the SHL awards show this season, despite having a somewhat unremarkable year by all accounts. For the event, Rove decided to show up on one of those bar bike things with some of his teammates. As you might imagine, by the time they biked on over to the awards show, they were all hammered beyond belief, with some even pulling trig right before they got to the red carpet. Rove wore a sports coat and plaid pants with nothing besides a gold chain covering his chest. It was designed by himself, as you might have guessed. Rove did in fact bring someone with him, a woman that he met at a club who had a pregnancy scare, and he promised if the test turned up negative he’d bring her to the show. Despite all this, there wasn’t really any controversy surrounding Rove, probably due to his under the radar status as a player. People were paying more attention to the stars of the league than him.

i did what i do for pretty much any special event when it comes to choosing an outfit. go to salvation army like the day before... or hell even day of, a few hours before it kicks off. i know that sounds a little wacky but honestly... it's not about how much you spend, it's about how good you look. it's all about finding one perfect piece. an awesome tie, a sick blazer, or some vibrant ass dress shirt, then building the outfit off of it. obviously i knew going in to it that i'd want to represent Manhattan so i was looking for anything red, black, white, or gray. while a tie is normally the last thing i look for, a particular one caught my eye as i walked by. i mean... how could i pass that up? it all just kinda fell into place after that. white shirt, black vest, red coat, gray pants. boom. done. easy.

Tor Tuck has a red carpet in his living room and is more of a home body than the Hollywood and media type. So during the awards ceremony Tor Tuck was chilling on his own personal red carpet that he bought at Target. The clothing Tor Tuck wore were his favorite Edmonton Blizzard pajamas, a sleeping gown that he found at a thrift store that really allow him to remain comfortable while also breathe if you know what I mean.
Tor Tuck rode in on a two piece couch that he bought on sale when his local Sears went out of business. It’s quite nice though as it has three built in recliners and takes up a significant portion of his living room. Plus there’s a section that has a pull out bed that is not half bad. Tor Tuck does not remember any controversy except for when he dropped one of his pizza rolls on the ground and one of his dogs snatched it up before he could.

Manuel Gotze hates this kind of event, and if he was gonna show up at all it was gonna be on his terms. So he was completely wasted, wearing a suit he bought straight off the rack at JC Penny's, with a tie just thrown around his neck without being tied at all and a generally slovenly appearance to his clothes and hair. He did show up in style though, having hired a Hummer stretch limo for the occasion. Nobody wanted to go with him to see him make a fool of himself and he responded to all interview requests with farting noises. So uh yeah he kinda ended up causing a buzz on social media with his poor behavior and how it reflected on the league, especially since he actually passed out on the red carpet and never made it inside. That was ok though, as it turns out he wasn't invited to the show either and was mistakenly attending for some unknown reason.

Tigole Bitties rolled onto the red carper wearing a stylish suit crafted by the fine tailors of Mens Wearhouse. It wasn't anything fancy - it was simply one of their "Full Custom Tailored Suits for $399" deals. He ended up being outfitted in a custom tailored Calvin Klein suit, a fine gray woolen suit with a black tie and a nice pair of loafers. It's not important to look incredibly fancy or to have the top end designers whipping up your attire when you never are going to actually win anything anyways. Always the bridesmaid for Tigole Bitties, never the bride.

Bitties brought his first wife, Suzanne, who brought him 13 children into the world. She left them at home with her new husband, Antonio, professional badminton player and philanthropist. Bitties' current wife, Anya, wasn't thrilled with this development and served him divorce papers after the ceremony. Oh well.
