Task 2: Colin Schmidt vs. Jakub Aittokallio
The goaltenders in this matchup are the key to success in my opinion. So far in the playoffs, both goalies have been rock solid.

For the West Kendall Platoon, Colin Schmidt has been great. In the playoffs, he has posted a .910 save percentage and a 2.71 goals against average to go along with a record of 9-6-2. Schmidt, whom the Platoon relied on throughout the regular season, has not disappointed in the playoffs. Schmidt's great save percentage while faced with a flurry of shots is what makes him stand out above the rest.

For the Edmonton Blizzard, Jakub Aittokallio has been their brick wall needed to make it to the finals. Aittokallio has a record of 10-2-2 in the playoffs to go along with a .919 save percentage and a 2.28 goals against average. As the longtime Blizzard goaltender, Aittokallio has been relied on by the team for seasons. And the man never disappoints. This season has been no different, and on the cusp of winning yet another cup, he will go down as one of the best of all time.

In every series, the goalie matchup is a major key. In the West Kendall and Edmonton final series, it may be bigger than ever between these two star goaltenders.

Task 3:
The biggest game for the West Kendall Platoon had to be game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals. The series was tied 3-3 between the Platoon and the Steelhawks, and it was all laid out on the line in game 7. After dropping game 6 in Hamilton in overtime, many thought that the Platoon would not be able to recover from such a heartbreak and it seemed the Steelhawks had all of the momentum.

However, the Platoon did not allow that to happen. Back in Florida for the game, the Platoon won 4-2 over the Steelhawks. After Hamilton tied it about halfway through the third period, the Platoon responded with a goal of their own less than a minute later, and then yet another goal just seconds after that.

This win showed the rest of the league that the Platoon were not going to back down. When things looked bleak for the team from Florida, they were able to exceed expectations and move on to the SHL finals.

Task 4:
Looking at the matchup between the Edmonton Blizzard and the West Kendall Platoon, the teams' regular seasons directly effect how it will go. The two teams faced each other twice this season, and each won a game.

In the regular season as a whole, both teams were even in goals for, as the Platoon finished with 3.14 per game and the Blizzard finished with 2.86 per game. The Blizzard were a middle of the pack powerplay team. Meanwhile, the Platoon finished dead last in regular season powerplay percentage, something we are not used to seeing from a team that is in the finals.

The Platoon did make up for it in penalty kill, however. They finished fifth in penalty kill, while the Blizzard finished just behind them at sixth. The Platoon shot more per game on average while the Blizzard allowed less shots per game on average.

Both these teams are very evenly matched in both their team stats and in terms of their individual players. These stats show that this series will be a close one no matter the winner.
