Game 4, Minnesota @ New England Wolfpack

For game 4, the Chiefs saw themselves at the brink of elimination. Everything they tried was going wrong and nobody with the Chiefs had any idea why. They'd just had a great season, ending up 1st in the east for the second year in a row. So, it was time to try something new to strengthen the confidence of the squad. As we all despise and detest everything that the New England Wolfpack stands for when it come to political correctness, passive aggressiveness and pony loving, goaltender Robert Andersson decided to do something about it. He went to a local company that mass-produces t-shirts. Andersson thought that he could burn some of his contract money on something to strenthen the resolve of his teammates and fans, so he ordered 20 000 t-shirts with a pony "making love" with people of all the ethnic minorities, in a very harsh way. The first ones were given to all teammates to wear under their equipment. And the rest were put in boxes, together with those types of cannons you shoot tshirts with. Some were loaded up and ready in the locker room for when the chiefs won, to be shot out into the crowd to cause a shitstorm.

But sadly, Wolfpack won their first game without having to go to OT, which might have been to the over-confidence of the team.

RIP.

TASK THREE
Who is your MVP candidate for these playoffs and why? Must be 150 words and have 3 stats minimum.

My MVP will be Tanner, not just because of his in-game success, but rather for him being the sole reason New England won. His coaching has been stellar ever since he came to NEW and they would've probably missed the playoffs if they hadn't traded for him.

But when it came to the in-game performance, he was awesome too.
9.29 SV% puts him at number 1. only .04 in front of Bauer, but still 1st.
2.225 GAA puts him in 1st by a mile, broadway was number 2 and he was at 2.83.
and of course, he had 12 wins, with broadway coming in at second place with 8.
478 shots against puts him in second, only behind broadway who had one single shot more against, which shows that the so called MVP who was named by the game, and his D-friends wasn't as helpful as they should've been.


Tanner for MVP. No question in my mind.

TASK FIVE

Minnesota Chiefs vs New England Wolfpack Series.

The Minnesota Chiefs vs New England Wolfpack Series ended in a strange way if you look at it. The Minnesota Chiefs were superior in most categories, including Offense and Defense. The only real downside that the Minnesota Chiefs had against New England Wolfpack was the goaltending situation. Jakob Tanner, being a MVP goalie in his prime, against Robert Andersson, who is on his 4th full season in the SHL universe.

So why did the New England Wolfpack sweep the Minnesota Chiefs?

The very same goaltender, Jakob Tanner. Who is also the coach of the team.

The series ended 4-0 for the Wolfpack, sweeping the Chiefs under the carpet. Something that nobody had thought would happen, despite the jokes in the LR about "Getting swept by the softpack". Which might have been what jinxed us, as a bunch of us said we would either retire or leave at the end of the contract if this happened.

Three of the games ended in OT, so despite the advantage in skill the Chiefs possessed, the Wolfpack managed to claw their way to the advancement. All because of the leadership and coaching of star goaltender and elite strategist Jakob Tanner.

TASK EIGHT
Take one Cup finalist and talk about how they made the playoffs (free agent signings, trades, outstanding rookies, a career season from someone). Must be 200 words

New England Wolfpack wins this by a mile just by one single deal. Jakob Tanner. I know that this Championship Week has been a lot about Tanner from me, but it is hard to stray away from it. the fact that he single-handedly turned New England Wolfpack around from a very average season, actually looking to miss the playoffs, to become contenders and favourites over a night. No other player would have this impact on any other team, and that is a fact. So the credit has to go out to the GM pair of the New England team, despite how much it hurts to say. Another thing making the New England Wolfpack contenders for years to come is the fact that half their squad has signed long term for 2M a year, effectively fucking every other team over from being able to give compete with FA's when it comes to salary. A thing that is a league killer, but apparently sportsmanship and the health of the league is nothing that they care about. But as that is now in the past and nothing that can be done anything about at this point, No point in talking about it any further. However this is one of the reasons why New England Wolfpack had a chance at the playoffs, and made them a successful team that will have a bright future for seasons to come.
