The Edmonton Blizzard are giving out 1st round picks this post-season. This team doesn't think that they are important when it comes to building a team and just giving them out like candy to their fans to give back to the community and help them, support the blizzards and their lack of youth and future on the hockey team. This is a unique piece of playoff memorabilia as never have I seen a team give away their 1st round picks to their fans so carelessly. A big reason why they made the playoffs this season is that their ability to give away the picks away brought in some star players that lead this team to the 2nd round of the post-season and they are hoping that it leads to them winning cups in some sort of dynasty like they used to have back in the good old days of shl hockey in edmonton.


TASK TWO: What has been the biggest game of the playoffs so far? Can be either SHL or SMHJL, 150 words.

Game 6 of the 1st round series between the Minnestoa Chiefs and the New England Wolfpack. Why was this lame game between two teams that didnt make it far in the post-season such an special game? you might ask, welll triple overtime, yes you read that correctly there were 110 shots on net during the game. The New England Wolfpack the favourite in the series had a 1-0 and a 2-1 lead in the 3rd period choked and the underdogs Chiefs scored the game winning goal 7:30 into the 3rd overtime series to force a game seven which would later lose. I think it was the biggest due to the fact it was one of the longest games in history of the SHL if not the longest, it was a battle, best bang for the buck for the fans and was a very entaining hockey game with big saves, hits and great scoring chances and I think this game deserves to be mention as one of the best during the post-season and maybe ever in my opinion


TASK FOUR: Who is your choice for MVP? Must be 150 words.

VLAD McZehrl

I know this might be a questionable choice as McZehrl didnt lead his team to victory but Manhattan were widely viewed as the underdogs throughout the post-season beating some very good teams to the way to the cup final including the defending champs. His 22 Points in 15 games were remarkable and he scored 7 goals, he was a +3 also. He was physical, blocking shots and was easily the heart and soul of the rage. He was also able to score 2 game winning goals in the post-season so he was able to score often and the big goals to help aid his team to victory. His 7 points in 4 games against the New England Wolfpack was a big reason why the Rage was able to be the defending champs and after that I think no matter what happened in the finals. Vlad would win the MVP in my heart espically after a great performance in the 1st round with 12 points in the 6 game series.

Taro Eichelele

Slick, pass-first winger with a lot of energy that he brings to every shift, he's a warrior on the ice and will be the big part of the resurgence of the Hamilton Steelhawks

C:
Jon Ross

Two Way Centre, that help wins a battle on the boards. Pass first Centre, Skates very gud. I would expect a 40 point season out of him in his second season in the simulation hockey league.

RW:
Brennan Kennedy

All round winger that brings it every shift. He can put in any situation and be successful. Started on the 3rd line at the beginning of the season and ended playing on the top line by the end of the season. Played as a glue player type role and I suspect that he will be more than that in his 2nd season.

#1 D:
Danny "Bananas" Foster
One of the biggest surprises of the season. He played a great defensive game and was one of the toughest dman to play against in the SHL. He always made the safe play and again, no one wanted to be in the corners when he is on the ice as he will go bananas.

#2 D:
Ludwig Koch Schröder
Mobile, puck moving dman that can go end to end skates like its his job. He loves to shoot the puck and I expect a better offensive season out of him as he is the best tpe whore to ever exist and I think he will be a big reason why the steelhawks are a playoff team.

Goalie:
Ben Waters
He stops da pucks.
