Tasks:
1: Shooter McGavin was born in New York, New York. The American Sniper was drafted in the second round of the Season 40 draft by the Calgary Dragons. The winger was a regular threat to win on the green grass, but after blowing a 4-shot lead in the back nine, he lost on the final hole and his temper got out of control, leading to a ban from golf. The Halifax Raiders took a chance on him, signing the raw, ego-centric 6'2 sniper. He struggled early on in his first year and ended up a -18, but he did show progression. In his 3rd year, he led the Raiders in scoring with 20 goals and 48 points. In Season 42, he seemed prime for a record-breaking season as he scored 12 goals and 25 points in just 18 games, but with controversy brewing in Calgary, he was an emergency call-up. The new Dragon held his own on the 3rd line, scoring 10 goals and 21 points, which saw him make the all-rookie team. The highlight of his year came in game 5 of the Championship Finals, when he scored the overtime winner to put the Dragons up 3-2 in the series. He became one of the few players to make the rookie team and win a championship. 2- This is an easy choice for me, and it comes from the Dragons. Casey Creller has decent numbers from the blue line, scoring 4 goals and adding 7 assists, but what makes him stand out is his league-leading 4 GWG. His biggest game winner came in the thrilling 4OT game 3 win against the Wolfpack in the Finals, where the Dragons were down 2-0 in the series and desperate for a win. Casey was also well-rounded, playing a true gritty playoff game. He had 45 hits and blocked 24 shots, which were both top 10 for playoffs. Casey was also effective on special teams, scoring 3 PP goals (4 points) and also helping the dragons kill off penalties at over an 85% rate. So, Casey may be overshadowed by other Dragons, but he does so many of the little things right, and can be relied upon in so many key situations that he has to get the recognition he deserves. 4- Sent 6- 9- Sent BONUS: Mike Izzy |
