Our 2nd MVP Award for the night is the Brodie Witzel Trophy. This award is given to the player deemed to be the Most Valuable Player in the Playoffs as voted by the General Managers of the SMJHL. These players were able to lift their game when it came down to it and gave their teams a chance to win it every night. Your Season 31 Brodie Witzel Trophy nominees are:

Alexis Metzler
Metzler rose to the occasion come playoffs and led his team with 6 Goals and 10 Assists in 13 Games Played for the Falcons in the playoffs. His 16 Points were 2nd best in the League, only surpassed in the final game played of the Cup Finals, a series the Falcons did not get to participate in. Among the leaders in nearly every category, his most important contribution came off the special teams with 7 of his 16 points coming off the Power Play.

Cara Hohenberg
Already a monster in the Regular Season, Hohenberg continued her strong play during the Knights playoffs cup run. Finishing with a League leading 17 points in 16 games played with 3 Goals and 14 Assists, it was her +12 differential and 19 shots blocked that made her stand out from among her peers during the playoffs all while amassing the highest average minutes per game played at 25.01 mins/gp.

Jason Aittokallio
Aittokallio already had a strong regular season but his play in the playoffs went above and beyond all other goaltenders. The Cup winning goaltender posted 12 Wins, 3 Losses and 1 Overtime Loss on his way to the Four Star Cup championship. His numbers; a save percentage of 0.921 and a 1.90 Goals Against Average are by far and wide some of the most important reasons the Knights were able to win the Cup.
