Probably long overdue.

I feel like these words have been in my mind for a while, retiring Bure. I've been thinking about it for well over 10 seasons now, I'm glad I didn't, I got to go two more finals over those 10 extra seasons and I'm also within striking distance of some major records I would have never thought I'd achieve by the end of it.

S43 will be Bure's 20th and final season in the SHL. It's been a long but gratifying career, From playing in those Whaler days, to that brief stint in Winnipeg, to my 16 seasons in New England, and even to my IIHF career with Russia, I'm happy to have played every season. Thanks to everyone whose supported me and been teammates with my over the literal years, never would have made it this far without you.
