Everybody in Quebec says f@#$ Detroit, but I don't understand why. I personally love the city of Detroit. They just have so much to offer as far as entertainment, and arts...If you can overlook the fact that the Falcons are basically bottom dwellers, there is always Greektown Casino, the iconic Fox theater, the Detroit Institue of Arts and, my personal favorite, the Eastern Market which is a chefs absolute dream. I could live off of coneys and Detroit style pizza just like they love to snort poutine in Quebec.

If I had to give my meaningless two cents for the tpe, I'd say Nevada Battle Born are closer to us in the standings. It would only make sense that our objectives should be to smash the living s@#$ out of each other every chance we get, so if I had to pick one team, thats my answer. As a whole, J league is shady, and I'm just here to hang out.

The Colorado Raptors do have an intense rivalry with the Las Vegas Battleborn. This feud is mostly about geopolitical matters. With both teams inhabitanting their own corner of the SMJHL, it is only natural should fight to be the best on the ice. Add in Colorado's repeated misfortune in the cup finals and getting swept in the playoffs in back to back years by the Battleborn around the time they would win it all, and you have cooked beef. Even in the marketing departments and all the way up to the owners, there is a burning desire to destroy the other. Even the social media handles of both team go after each other with sarcastic remarks and savage replies. The league loves this and goes overtime to market this feud. Games of this so called "Rocky Mountain Rivalry" are oftentimes broadcast nationwide and there is even talk of giving both teams a game outside around Lake Tahoe.

Well for Daniel Durkburg he was told to keep his head down and don't talk shit too media he is taking this advice from old SHL Defensiveman Kayden Pale too previous played for New England, Chicago, Calgary and Seattle. Kayden Pale was a good player but he was hard too have on your team being called by many as emtional unstable retiring at age of 28 says it all for Kayden Pales Career he was traded in the SMJHL before even going bro, he somewhat kept his hate for being on a not so good team out of the picture for his first couple seasons but soon he would be asking for a trade which brought him too Chicago for a couple seasons before blind siding the league and going back to New England. New England would than trade him too Calgary and win the cup . Calgary was a horrible team and to see all his ex teammates win it he was devastated. Tried too get back on track with going and signing with Seattle in the offseason this is where things really took a tumble there was alot of stuff ranted and said which changed the landscape for Seattle and Kayden Pales Career which got derailed and than ended up retiring

The Kelowna Knights have been the rivals of both the Prince George Firebirds and Vancouver Whalers.

Since Prince George no longer boasts a team. (They moved to Anchorage). The Whalers live through with such history. These two teams battle it out regularly for both the 4 Star Cup and the bragging rights to be considered the best in British Columbia. Like any other team pair it is your typical rivalry. Frequent playoff battles, many legendary and infamous players on both sides, actual cups won over the other. The BEST of West Coast Junior Hockey.

Sadly neither team has won the cup in the last 10 seasons. (The Vancouver Whalers won the 4 Star Cups in S61.) Another disappointment is that these two teams have not faced off in a series since S59 (Luckily it was a 6 game win for Kelowna Wink ). In fact the Vancouver Whalers have lost 11 series' against Kelowna going back to when we no longer have Indexes. Including the 1 and only 4 Star Cup showdown in S42.

While being a rookie, I do not have beef with any of the teams, besides one……. the Detroit Falcons. Really, I do not see the Falcons to be a threat to the Krakens when it comes to time on the ice. This beef comes from the interconnectedness within our teams. We have an “I love you” but when it comes to going head-to-head, there is no love and all pure hate. While most players will look back on history and how many times a team beat them or did they say mean things about their team. I believe the Krakens rival is based on personal beef.

Carolina was my top team when I first joined for one main reason. I would have a place that would protect me from but also assist me in beating and making fun of Detroit GM, Aephino. While I can not bash on Aephino (mainly because he is sitting right next to me as I write this), it does not stop me from villainizing him and his team every time we play, and a big HAHA in the face every time we beat them. Each time Betzee Nickelback plays Detroit, it is as if someone granted her with fire breathing powers and she is ready to burn and take down every Falcon.

Are biggest rival is That we have no rivals serious like bro we a rebuilding team and we just have no who really can hate a team that not great but if I have to say at at. Louis. Why will we have playoff beef and we barely trade with them. I don’t really care about the rivalry but it exist.

Quote:Which team is your team's biggest rival in the league and why? This could be due to recent history, old history, medium history, personal beef, branding antagonism, passing on you in the draft, etc. - whatever the reason, which team in the league would you consider to be the biggest rival of your team?
Written option: 150 words on the above

Both the Colorado Raptors and Great Falls Grizzlies are trying to claw their way out of the bottom of the standings.

There’s also the fact that Jani Manty and Jae-ik Barron went 2 and 4 in the S72 SMJHL Entry Draft, and technically both were passed on by the Raptors, who had the first overall pick.

The nature of a rebuild is such that I could easily see both of these teams go from being basement dwellers to established rosters in the same time frame. If this happens, you’ll see this new “rivalry” become a full fledged one in short order.

Everyone knows that the fastest way to build a legitimate rivalry is to have two teams play meaningful games against each other. It happens in the NHL now with the way the divisional playoffs work: you’ll often see Tampa Bay play Toronto in the first round, for example.

As GFG and COL see each other more and more and there are actualy stakes on the lines, the rivalry will go from one based on league position to one based on matchup history.

If there is one roadblock to this, it’s the way that divisions work where there are different team groupings every season.

St. Luis Scarecrows is not only the Falcon's rival but the whole SMJHL. I don't know how or why it happened but back in S43 and forward they consistently had awful attitudes and even worse takes. What seemingly started as a meme turned into reality when the bad just kept on happening.
But talking about what happened on the ice, they just kept getting away with things. Seasons they had no reason to contend they seemingly did.

But that's what's fun about this game is it not? You need an anti-hero. You need someone to compete with. A rival that makes the otherwise long season have highlights.

An honorable mention is the Colorado Raptors, while less controversial the need to beat them is still strong. After snuffing out the Detroit Falcons while fielding a less complete team they denied Hippo Passamus and his teammates the chance for the cup while they were still in their prime.
Sadly they never got to lift the cup. y when the bad just kept on happening.

As the landscape of the Simulation Major Junior Hockey League has been constantly changing over the past however many seasons I would say it is hard for new rivalries to pop up these days which is a shame. A good rivalry from the old days of the SMJHL though would be the Anchorage Armada, known at the time as the Prince George Firebirds, versus their fellow teams from British Columbia. The Kelowna Knights and the Vancouver Whalers trekking all over the province to face off against each other and Prince George sure was a heated time and while they would still be the closest geographical rivals for Anchorage the magic is sort of gone as there are only two teams that now duke it out for the honor of the best team in B.C. Therefore I'd say that Quebec City would be the Anchorage rivals to me since they were good at the same time as we were the last time I was on the Armada, and our conference finals matchup in S56 was the real final as it was a down to the wire 7 game series that decided who would get to sweep the finals.
