New England begin their off-season festivities early
#1

After just barely missing the playoffs in S47, New England have got ground to make up moving forward into S48. Their extremely young core is developing more and more with every game. Soon enough they will be a force to reckoned with by the rest of the league.

Erik Chisling, GM of the New England Wolfpack, held a surprise press conference earlier today to make an announcement of some sort.

"It's no secret that the Wolfpack has an extremely exciting future ahead of it. A new, and a reinvigorated future, one that brings cups to this historic franchise. I've decided to reflect that in the our jersey selection going into Season 48. While I'm not prepared to move away from our classic home and road jersey, I have commissioned a third alternate jersey, to be worn on to-be-decided promotional nights at the Boston Garden. The main aim here was to stand out, go for something never been seen in the SHL. We took inspiration from various places globally and came out with what can only be described to you as the most unique jersey the league has ever seen. This alternate is a possible glimpse into the future of the Wolfpack, and what lays ahead."

The jersey, which is pictured below, features an asymmetrical, chevron-based design, is unlike anything seen before. It's believed the move to this design has largely because of a podcast, by Wolfpack player Perry Morgan, and Wolfpack prospect Eko Van Otter, found that the majority of the league used very similar stripey design. The management of New England set out to find a cure for this and oh boy did they.

The Cheverons on the arms are a bit much imo, but I'm a sucker for asymmetrical designs like this. Well done!

I do love me some good asymmetry, it's way underused
