"VS with Niclas Wastlund"
is a half-hour program where Niclas Wastlund, GM of the LA Panthers meets up with other figures of the SHL (Players, GMs, Former Players) and talks cars with them. Niclas will showcase their favorite cars they own and then they also engage in a head-to-head race to end each program held on a private track for ultimate bragging rights.

With the announcement of the new SHL Network, producers have begun their search for intriguing content to build a loyal viewer-base. My pitch that I would like to present to the board for consideration is called “The GMs of the Round Table”. Hosted by none other than @Mike Izzy , this program would air in a prime-time slot and feature various GMs from around the entire SHL and SMJHL discussing hockey issues and maybe some real-time wheeling and dealing. Each week, 5 or 6 General Managers from any of the teams affiliated with the SHL would be invited to the SHL Network studios to sit down and discuss anything related to hockey or the league. Mike Izzy would host the program and facilitate the discuss. He is the obvious choice as everyone in the league respects him and he has the personality needed to host an engaging show. This would also give some of the lesser known GMs a chance to be in the spotlight and begin to create a name for themselves.

The Locker Room

Times are tough for a rebuilding New England hockey team. The team is handed loss after loss, season upon season, but things are starting to look up for the Wolfpack with a bright future ahead of them. Tune in at 9PM ET every Thursday for a real-life documentary about the New England Wolfpack and it's players. Featuring exciting story lines such as the British defence pair Zheng (@goldenglutes) and Morgan's development as they become SHL stars; Dick Clapper's (@5ympathies) "exotic" life off the ice; Erik Chisling (@Ace) finding his only enjoyment out of the season by fucking over junior teams; and of course, the resident goon, Boris Poroshenko and his antics.

Join us and find out what it is that keeps this team from going insane as they're tortured by not only the rest of the league, but also their inner demons. Maybe we'll find out what that secret end-of-the-week team meeting is about. They let us in the other ones but not that one, so fuck knows what's going on.

This Old Rink

This would be a spin-off of Bob Villa’s ‘This Old House’.  SHL / SMJHL GMs and players would travel to a city that is in need of a hockey rink upgrade.  The GMs and players involved would change from show to show, an example would be St. Louis Scaresrow GMs, @TML99 and @Nictox traveling to Siberia with Mika Kandinsky @Mika_Kandinsky and some of his other teammates to fix up an old arena in his hometown, they would bring the arena up to date and get the community set up to use it properly.  The GMs would be able to impart their wisdom to the coaches and managers, while players like Izem Abioye @eddiesnothere , Nicolaj Muller @esilverm and Barrett Blackwood @MrStennett would help out with some of the easy parts of the renos, but the rookies like Noah Brusky @BrewskyBoy would do most of the grunt work, working along side the renovators.  Each week would be a different team, with the team deciding on which city / arena would get the upgrades, but usually the arena selected would have some type of connection to the team.  The show would be on weekly, on Sunday afternoons, perfect time to relax and crack a beverage to watch your favourite GMs and players bring an old arena back to its full glory.

The show that the SHL needs is clearly a Doggie and Me show. We need to look into the lives of the SHL players who we have come to love, and look at the animal they love... their dogs!

We've had a lot of discussion in the past about dogs and their Snoods, specifically with @Allen and Onyx bear. We need to find out who is rocking the latest snood fashion, and what Onyx and Allen think about it. Who's up and coming in the business, and who is a must to wear?

At home, are people rocking casual clothes, or business casual? We'll be looking at the snoods that are now stylish, and what must be thrown away or given to that cousin that you really don't like but is getting fat so you can give her all your hand me downs.

Are snood hoods appropriate? Check in to the Snoodress show, and we'll show you what you need to be wearing.

The show I am pitching is called “Get Lit”. It’s a late evening/early night show that explores SHL drinking culture. Geezus Kryyst will feature drinking related topics and often include fellow SHL stars as guests. Every stadium likely has its own unique cocktail, so these would be highlighted throughout the season. Additionally they would be ranked and reviewed. Nathan Explosion would have a recurring weekly segment with a name to be determined where he challenges a random SHL star to a series of drinking games. The loser gets punched in the junk. Kryyst would also explore the various bars and drinking cultures of the SHL cities. During the off season, Kryyst would invite a small group of SHL rookies and veterans to a beach house for a week where everyone was able to relax and hangout… interspersed with drinking competitions. The winning team would be awarded the Jagermeister Cup and each seasons drunk MVP would win the Zane Lamprey Memorial Trophy.

SHL Show: (Hope this wasn't written, not going to look through 5 pages of stuff).

BIG BROTHER SHL EDITION. This would be a show set in the off-season, (hour long show, twice a week) to keep fans interested in the league during the break. The premise, take twelve of the leagues most infamous and controversial players and stick them under one roof. Much like the show IRL, have the players compete in SHL related games to win supremacy in the house. Examples could be, who can type the longest PT without actually contributing anything, who can tamper with other players the most without getting caught, etc. At the end of each week, house guests are "banned" by that weeks nominated commissioner. The grand prize at the end of the season, the winning player will get 20 TPE and $10,000,000 in player cash to spend on your player the following season!

For a newly created television show for the SHL network, Osbert Whacker has brought forth the Osbert Whacker Whack Attack Show! What in the world is OWWA? Well quite simply it's the most hilarious type of game show you've ever seen. Basically there's two contestants facing off against each other where they're standing in front of a ball connected to a lever. The host of the game show will be foreign person because foreign people talking foreign to English speakers is hilarious. They'll ask the contestants questions that they'll have to answer. If they fail to answer the question or get the question incorrect the lever will raise and the ball on the end will smack them squarely in the groin. Of course some people will question what if it's a girl instead of a guy who is the contestant, won't that defeat the purpose? The answer is no as the premise isn't to inflict tons of pain with the groin shot, it's just to have a groin shot happen in general as that's the hilarious part. Ok well what about prizes? The prizes will be random as well! What about time slot? PRIME TIME BABY! That's right this will need to be shown in prime time, even if that means bumping some SHL games as this will now be the main attraction.

Show: SHL Presents: Gameday with ___
Time slot: 1 hour time slot before SHL/SMJHL games are aired on TV.

Premise: Everyone loves their favourite teams and favourite players, so now why not allow them to follow them around on a game day? What does your favourite player do during the day? What do they eat? Everyone loves the “behind the scenes” type shows like the shows we get for the NHL’s Winter Classic. Why limit it to the NHL? Let’s get behind the scenes and see what our favourite SHLers and SMJHLers are up to on a typical gameday.

Follow Jax Duggan ( @SecondSucks22 ) and Dale Miller ( @dmills3 ) as they play Minecraft all day and almost miss their game, or maybe you want to see how Bobby Bobcalf ( @nubbedindaribs ) talks himself up in the mirror for 2 hours prior to getting to the rink, or maybe you want to watch Max Mauldin ( @Wasty ) drive around in his Tesla all day to see if he can get to new places on a full charge. Well now, with SHL Presents: Gameday with ___ you can see it all. There’s nothing like following your team like this. Get to know the players on a much more personal level, rather than following them simply for your fantasy team.

I propose we do Professor Aaron's Advanced Analytics, starring Professor Aaron Wilson (@aaronwilson) . The show can be an hour-long breakdown of advanced statistics throughout the league, updating people on who the league leaders are in doing gud things that are hard to describe to the layman. Professor Aaron would of course be costumed up like the smart glasses guy from the Simpsons for maximum relatability, and the show would feature a 1990's vision of futuristic machines in the background and stuff (including a machine labelled Simon T Hockey Simulator that has plenty of loose wires and smoke belching out of it). We would be sure to have regular segments deriding primitive stats like goals and assists, so we can really piss off the older viewers with Calgary Dragons trucker hats, grousing about how good the game used to be before all this new-fangled crap ruined it.

We'd follow that up with an hour-long show called Hard Knocks: Winnipeg Jets. The show would follow Winnipeg throughout their training camp and preseason. The focus would be on star defenseman and general manager Gary Grease (@FlappyGiraffe) who battles fan discontent over his position regularly, as the fans demand his firing for drafting future 3rd line plug Nick Brain and not instantly giving their entitled selves another 3-4 Challenge Cups to brag about.

Every professional sports league needs some kind of mic'd up show for their league, and I think this would be an absolutely fantastic addition to the SHL. With personalities like Nickolas Klaus on the Tampa Bay Barracuda and Sanyi Kocsis of the Texas Renegades, there is bound to be some fantastic content available when these guys step onto the ice. It's pretty great seeing them in press conferences already, but giving fans an extra opportunity to establish a connection with their favorite players makes it all the more entertaining. These are some of the top athletes in the world, but you can be sure that once they get into the game they aren't shying away from swearing and saying funny thing to opposing players. In all honesty, I'm very drunk right now and I know this is a very boring idea but I feel the need to do this so I did it.
