Today's Viking in Sports is:

Zlatan Ibrahimovic



Yes, its him! ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC! He's one of the biggest names in soccer, he's 6'5'' and he's physical. He's probably the greatest out-and-out striker of our generation, I don't care what anyone else says. You can see in the picture above, how Zlatan uses his imposing size to gain the ball and score the goal. To further prove my point how this imposing Swede is a viking, look at the image below:



In this image, you can clearly see the representation of Níðhöggr the Norse dragon of legend. This is a clue to Zlatan's training. A form of training very few people know about. It's an ancient martial art of the Vikings known as the Andetag Níðhöggr or Breath of Nidhogg. You can see this in practice below:



Zlatan is a 3rd level apprentice in this martial art and given his progress, he should become a rank 1 Master in approximately 3 years at which time he will be able to scorch the earth with his dragon breath!

Today's Viking in the NHL is:

Niklas Kronwall



It's one of the most easily recognizable Vikings in disguise out there; Niklas Kronwall! The last thing all players see at the end of one of his checks is a raging 5'11" demon charging with his manliest manly viking scruff that makes grown men feel like castrated pupies before they're crushed and see blinking lights as they attempt to get up! He is a BEAST! Nuff said. Just watch him crush people, then you'll know.

Today's Viking in the SHL/NWJHL is:

Teemu Nurmi



Teemu is a bodychecking fiend! A rare thing in the Finnish as they have traditionally been a people of greater finesse but through this physicality that Nurmi brings to the game, he honors his viking brothers and his own heritage. He has also been known to work himself into a state of Úlfhéðinn or Berserker Rage before skating onto the ice which explain his brutally hard hits!
