SMJHL SPACE JAM 2 - SIM 3/MONTH 3

*If you are new to my Space Jam series here is how it's working this time: I took all the players from the most recent SMJHL draft and put them into the NHL. There is now a tournament going on where they are facing off against each other. There is not enough players in an SMJHL draft to fill out a full 6 team league so there is extra players that are NHLers to fill out the spots.

The SMJHL players are not using their real stats, instead they are paired with an NHL star and given their stats. What NHL star they are paired with depends on their draft number. If you were drafted higher you get a better NHL player to play as.*

Welcome back to SMJHL Space Jam! So far we have already completed October and November which I will link below. Now it's time to check out how December went! Remember the season is 50 games long, the regular season is 4 months long followed by the playoffs. This is the 3rd month so there will be one more regular season sim coming soon. One thing to note is there is no injuries or trades turned on this time.

Walton Stromberg Leads The League With 69 Points (nice)

Notes:

Toronto is still the best but the Boston Bruins are only 3 points behind them now with 1 game in hand. Montreal and Detroit moved their way up the standings as the Red Wings are not in last place for the first time. The Rangers are struggling right now after starting the season pretty strong in October it's been a downhill slide for them.

For statistic leaders we see that the Montreal Canadiens are on a hot streak as J. Hunna-Pessent is now tied for first in the goal scoring race with Theo Kondos. Montreal Center Stromberg is also now leading the league in assists, those two have been on fire. Hunna-Pessent has 6 more Power Play Goals than anyone else. For goalies we still see Ramsey from the Bruins leading the way but Blunt Man on Leafs has been great right behind him. The Rangers struggles can be seen on the stat sheet here as goalie N. Antonescu has about 200 more shots against than any other goalie.

Most teams have played around 40 out of the 50 regular season games so far. There will be one more regular season sim and then that will be followed by the playoffs. All teams make the playoffs with the top 2 seeds getting a first-round bye. Keep an eye out for the final sim of the regular season soon. Thank you for reading and good luck finishing the season out strong and maybe winning the Stanley Cup!
