Ryuuji Minamino
@Nhamlet

The 2nd player on this list who is still Active. Minamino  is a franchise player for the Chicago Syndicate. One of the youngest players on this list, Ryuuji has well earned this placement. Drafted in S53, Ryuuji was drafted 11th OA to the Chicago Syndicate. The best pick you could have had for the Syndicate.

Started in the SHL in S56. Ryuuji is one of the rare players on this list that is FHM only. Starting off his career with 10 goals, 24 assists and 34 points. Ryuuji earned the Rookie All Star Team, and a Ryan Jesster nomination too. S56 will be the only time he ever played in a 50 game season era. With S57 was the start of the 66 game era.

S57 saw Ryuuji steadily continue his development. With 14 goals, 36 assists for 50 points. Ryuuji most importantly won his first Challenge Cup With Chicago. S58, S59 and S60 saw Ryuuji be a great 2nd line player for Chicago. Steadily earning more ice time with each season. S58 saw him get 31 points, S59 got him 55 points. Then in S60 Ryuuji hit 57 points.

S61 saw Ryuuji finally hit over a PPG in his career. Scoring 37 goals and 36 assists. Finally getting top playing time both on the PP1 and 1st line, Ryuuji showed why he deserved it in the first place. If not S61, then S62 did.

In one of the best achievements to date, Ryuuji was not only the first player to hit 50 goals in a season(narrowly missed by Mitchell van der Heijden in S60), but he blew past 50 goals, and hit 60 goals this season. The first player to do both. Scoring 60 goals, 46 assists for 106 points. Minamino got all the accolades. He won the Aidan Richan award for most improved player, Jay McDonald for most goals in a season, Ron Mexico for regular season MVP, Sarmad Khan for player voted MVP, and Sergei Karpotsov for most points in a season. Truly a historic season in the eyes of the SHL.

S63 saw the fall back to earth, only scoring 32 goals and 29 assists for 61 points that season. S64 saw the scoring go back up, 41 goals but only 28 assists got him 69 points for that season. S64 also saw Ryuuji win his 2nd Challenge Cup of his career.

S65 would be the lowest point of his career so far. After such amazing seasons, Ryuuji only put up 55 points. Another 30+ goal season with 33 points, but only 22 points held him back from going higher. S66 would see a bounceback, 26 goals and 41 assists for 67 points. 11 seasons in the league, regression is starting to hit a bit harder now. S67 had him only scoring 15 goals, 33 assists for 48 points. Would this be the fall off?

S68 showed Ryuuji could still score, and still get points. With the lift in FHM8 inflation, Ryuuji continued his impressive career. S68 showed him score 35 goals, and 24 assists for 59 points. Proving he can still be a goal scorer when needed. Although that was the season he fell from 19 minutes a night to 16/17 minutes a night. Settling into a more secondary role for Chicago.

S69 had the opposite season of S68. Only scoring 13 goals, Ryuuji had 42 assists that season. Good for 55 points that season. S70 saw Ryuuji hit 47 points, then in S71 he had 59 points. Entering S72 he was at 936 career points. That season earning 51 points, got him ever closer to the 1000 point club.

S73 is when Ryuuji hit 1000 points in his career. 1172 games played, with 463 goals and 562 assists for a total of 1025 points.  Becoming one of 15 players to ever hit 1000 points at that moment(19 now). He was not done though, continuing to play to this day. As of S74, Ryuuji Minamino is at 1238 games played, 484 goals, 589 assists for 1073 points. Good for 7th in points and 7th in goals all time. It is also worth noting that Ryuuji holds the all-time record for the highest TPE peak of any player in any era.

Where he lands in the future is up to him. Playing for however long is up to him. Doing it all in the Chicago Syndicate is impressive. But for now, he is 67th on the list
