Now, we turn our attention to the players. This season, as with the past few, there were many deserving players and of those, the following 13 received at least one vote:

Charlie Chiclets
Tom Corcoran
Frankie Gooseneck
Mike Honcho
Kevin Lebacon
Jed Mosley
Zach Myers
Laraque Obama
Patrick Pelletier
Brandon Sawyer
Robert Spezza
Jackson Turska
Brodie Witzel

By receiving at least one vote, Chiclets guaranteed that he will be on the ballot for the maximum period of time (7 ballots). However, by failing to receive a vote, Zach Cuff, Markus Dahl, and Zach Dooley, will unfortunately be removed from the ballot.

For everyone else, they failed to receive a vote this season. Good luck next year, guys!

Based on the fan voting, the biggest shocks to be left out here are certainly Zach Miller (35 votes) and Zach Cuff (23 votes). Zach Dooley (14), Cole Reinhart (5), Cam Wilson (3), Niclas Wastlund (3), Eddie Fischermann (1), and Mike Ochocinco (1) also all received a vote from the fans, but none from the committee.

On the other side, no fans thought Laraque Obama, Patrick Pelletier, or Jackson Turska, were worthy of a vote, however, the committee clearly thought differently.

Now, it is time to cut that list of 13 who received votes down to our top 5 vote getters who are:

Mike Honcho
Jed Mosley
Brandon Sawyer
Robert Spezza
Brodie Witzel

This means that the following have been eliminated:

Zach Myers - 10 votes
Jackson Turska - 10
Frankie Gooseneck - 8
Tom Corcoran - 6
Kevin Lebacon - 6
Charlie Chiclets - 1
Laraque Obama - 1
Patrick Pelletier - 1

Of these eliminations, the only player not in the committee's top 5 that was in the fans' top 5 is Tom Corcoran, who again gained tons of fan support, but barely any committee support. In fan voting, he was the leading vote getter, so his exclusion is certainly a surprise here. In his place, the committee put Jed Mosley, who was 7th in fan voting.

Now, it is time for our first inductee from the player side. This player was a leading forward on many teams and dominated opposing teams into submission. His name is...

Former Minnesota Chief, Toronto North Star and Calgary Dragon center Robert Spezza!!!

Congrats, Spezza! The honor is certainly well deserved!

For the fans, they had Spezza in fourth place, but the committee thought differently as they gave him 82 out of a possible 100 votes as he was easily inducted this season after years of waiting.

After Spezza, only one other player earned induction this season.

Spezza's induction brings us to our next elimination, as we will trim two players leaving us with two battling for the final spot.

Unfortunately, in Season 19, neither Jed Mosley nor Brodie Witzel garnered enough support for election. Witzel received 25 votes, coming 5 votes short, while Mosley got 17 votes, leaving him 13 shy of induction. Good luck next season, guys! Both of your times will come!

The fans certainly agree with these eliminations, as they had Witzel in 5th and Mosley in 7th. There certainly seems to be significant support for both, but both the committee and the fans seem to believe that there are simply better players eligible at the moment.

The elimination of Mosley and Witzel leaves us with Mike Honcho and Brandon Sawyer, by the way.

The second and final inductee on the player side in Season 19 is...

This man played goalie.

Former Minnesota Chief, Vancouver Nightmare and Los Angeles Panther goalie Brandon Sawyer!!!

Congrats deedz! You earned this, buddy!

In coming in second, Sawyer received 65 votes out of a possible 100, clearing the 30 vote threshold very easily. Honcho fell just shy of 30, receiving 28 votes.

The fans thought these two were very close and gave the edge to Honcho, but it does not matter anymore, as Sawyer has finally secured his induction!

Congrats again to all four inductees tonight: Rober Spezza, Brandon Sawyer, Wadey, and Joecool!! All four of you will make great additions to the hall of fame.
