Nasher Pre- S25 SHL Draft Stories Just doing this randomly for money :)
#1

August 3rd, St Louis, Missouri, 7:36 AM

It was two days before the SHL draft, McLaren Nasher woke up in his home in St Louis, waiting for the draft to happen in two days. Of course, he still had a long way to go, his game is still very raw as of now, especially defensively. He also is a smaller player, so he doesn't excel in the physical aspect of hockey.

Nasher usually gets ready for his day by doing all the normal things, brushing his teeth, eating breakfast, working out, all those things. But today was a different day, today he wanted to work on his hockey skills. Nasher has a fairly decent shot, and underrated passing, but his defensive game is still lacking. He is a bit one dimensional as of now, and his game all around is developing slowly. Nasher is definitely a long term project, but with good coaching, he might be able to put his entire game together, but we will see.

Today, Nasher wanted to work on his defensive positioning, and his positioning along the boards. He wanted to focus more on his defensive game for now, so he wasn't considered a liability, and could be utilized more. Which would equate to having more ice time. So Nasher headed to scottrade center(snuck in  ) and put all his equipment on, skates an all.

For about three to four hours, Nasher worked on his positioning along the boards and covering his point man, thinking out all scenarios of where the point guy would be. He also took a few shots, of course. Nasher also tried to work on using the boards more for his passes and dump ins, because he wants to make sure he doesn't turn over. Nasher just tried to work on being a more responsible player in general, even if it was just him with no help.

At the end of the day, Nasher took a break and thought over what he had done that day. He definitely wanted to go high in the draft, but at this point he knew it was a longshot, no matter what he did. He just didn't work hard enough this season, but that is why he wants to come back stronger the next one. He even said to the media who caught him randomly today that he would score more goals and get more points then his did in his rookie season. Nasher is basically guaranteeing no sophomore slump. That would end Nasher's day, onto the next one.

It was one day until the SHL Entry Draft, and Nasher had a busy day, having to answer media and preparing himself mentally for the opportunity at getting drafted tomorrow. He already knew his draft projections from most analysts, late round pick. Around the 3rd round most likely.

Nasher talked to media, answers questions on the thoughts of having a chance at being drafted. He replied that he would be highly grateful if a team took their chances on drafting him. Nasher just had a casual day today compared to the past day, he wanted to get rest and prepare for the upcoming day... even if he ended up undrafted.

Nasher wanted to contact one of the Scarecrows to go hang out, but they were all busy, so he spent his day looking up hockey statistics and reading articles on improving his skill for hockey. He wanted his hockey IQ to grow exponentially, so he was going to study and make sure he got smarter, since hockey is his passion, he wanted to be good.
