Toto isn't really a one hit wonder though? And you didn't even pick their most popular song!

It might have just been a poor choice on my part. It was hard for me to pick 1 hit wonders because I just don't listen to those type of bands. But Toto came into mind.

Vliddy and I wanted Knopfler as one of the solos. Brothers in Arms was his best in our opinion. But that song was already in my top song about death. So we didnt want to use it twice. Money For nothing I guess just was out of the rest of our top 3s.

I mean really anything Mark Knopfler did is almost a solo. Almost all of Dire Straits songs are pure guitar licks. Very little rhythm.
This is true. Mark is something else live, really gives you the full range.

Also, I guess living in Vancouver has taught me that around here Loverly isn't exactly considered a one hit wonder. I think it's a biased look at it though haha

Ironic.

On an unrelated note: The Gin Blossoms founder, songwriter and lead guitarist was very "anti-corporation", so when they signed to a major record deal he started drinking heavily. It got so bad that they kicked him out for it. Eventually, he ended up killing himself because the band became very successful playing the songs he had written (Hey Jealousy, Found Out About You, etc).
