S31 SHL Awards Show

OP updated with all award winners and nominees.

I'll leave this here for a few days before moving it to SHL history so that people who were asleep or otherwise not around get to see it before it gets buried halfway down the site.

And now for our other GM award: The Lance Uppercut, which goes each year to the league's top GM(s)!

This year's nominees are:

Looking to sweep the GM awards, Eggy216 and lil! Wolfpack

I believe currently the longest tenured GM, the lone ranger, Wasty! Panthers

The always dominant GM tandem from Edmonton, Jedi and Lunaro! Blizzard
Holy shit I was a nominee Blink

So as I'm sure most everyone is aware, the Vidrik Onoprienko award was founded in S27 in recognition of longtime SHL and SMJHL simmer JackCross, without whom this league certainly would have been much different. Ask anyone who's ever tried to sim, doing one league is hard enough and somehow he was able to do both. In his honor, this award was founded to recognize those whose contributions throughout their time on the site have contributed extensively to league history, and without whom the SHL would not be a shadow of what it is today. Past winners of the award include JackCross himself, Leafs4Ever, and Spangle. It was not awarded in S30.

This year, I am proud to announce that the Vidrik Onoprienko Lifetime Achievement will be going to longtime owner and commissioner of the SHL:

Cool!

I knew I wouldn't win the Stevens when I only got 20th in the top 100 even though I was apparently Top5 All-time in assists and lead defense men in points, and my team in shot blocks and points.

Plus, I got my recognition in the form of HO votes B)

Okay, don't bring the Top-100 list down because you got snubbed.

The top-100 is not based on one single year. It is based on recent play going back as far as the last three seasons. One crazy year isn't necessarily going to shoot you up to top-10.

Alonzo Garbanzo Final Tallies (Among Defensemen):
2nd in Goals (208), All-Time Assists Leader (765)*, All-Time Points Leader (973), 3rd in Hits (2587), All-Time Blocked Shots Leader (1882)*
*All-Time Leader Among All Skaters

Fair enough. And I'm not trying to take anything away from the Top 100. I know it's your baby and it's an amazing project. I just figured that I should temper my expectations when that happened.
