TASK ONE: Create a giveaway for a unique piece of playoff memorabilia. Can be written or graphic. If written, must be 150 words, if graphic, must include a picture of the item and the team logo.

A signed jock in which was signed by my famous ancestors who have played in leagues such as the GOMHL SMJHL and SHL even the VHL here is an extensive timeline of who and where it has been signed and what year the jock strap was signed.

1902 - fiddle bottom mcbumpelton signed while playing for the vernon bumper stickers.

1948 - passed down to a cousin the strap was then signed by AMBHLer Cam Mipplechin

1959 - then passed down to Cams child Matthew flaylebottom who played for the VHL back when it just started for the tri city Cameruopeans

1986 - the slime deterioted jock that has 400 blocked shots in itself was repaired and finally washed for the first time by Jake Mahimovix who by the way was a PTSDhler scoring 5 goals in 1 period in his first game.

1999 - The SHL was then created by a man name Bojo and the overpayed players began to come and thus the Regina Force was created yeaa that name was bland...

2017- Dayymo Wrtelton of the Toronto North Stars signs it and then throws it in the crowd after scoring 50 points in one season.

2017 the next day - it's sold on ebay for 69 dollars

TASK TWO: What has been the biggest game of the playoffs so far? Can be either SHL or SMHJL, 150 words.

You now the finals game where the calgary dragons won the cup here are a list of reasons why this question does not really work what so sever especially when I am typing this when the whole season is over and I know the outcome of the playoffs and who won the cup who they defeated when they were defeated and why they were defeated. anyways here is the list

- Calgary dragons won

- The Manhattan Rage lost

- Randy randleman won another cup

- Wert still sucks at hockey

- nothing else is new

- but good think the West Kendall Platoon lost again :D

- even though you thought the manhattan reage was a team it was actually just 2 or 3 players scoring as the others were benched and gave moral support to those 3 players aka wolker mczerhl and harry hans

- the most important game obviously was the game in which the calgary dragons won the cup and hoisted it.

TASK THREE: Write a 150 word radio advert for the S32 Finals Matchup.

Kind of a longshot to be honest let's face it the easy road was the east this season because first of all the beat the choking west kendall platoon which was a automatic win the second round was the over rated new england wolfpack who got swept with a broom real quick and then finally they lost BUT COME SEE THEM LOSE AGAINST THE CALGARY DRAGONS IN BATTLE AGAINST THE LEAGUE! ABSOLUTELY BUT WAIT WATCH YOUR TEAM LOSE BECAUSE GUESS WHAT? THEY ALREADY LOSS I AM SELLING TICKETS TO A GAME THAT HAS ALREADY HAPPEND BUT THAT'S NOT ALL YOU GUYS LOSE IN HARDCORE FASHION EAT POPCORN THOUGH THAT HAS ALREADY BEEN EATEND AND THE SODA THAT HAS BEEN DRANKEN TICKETS ONLY STARTING AT 60 DOLLARS + game tax which is four fitty. any whooo come to the game anyway and well I guess it will be alright and uhm change history that has already happend

TASK Five: Create an All Star starting lineup of players that did not make the playoffs. Must include a center, two wings, two defence and a goalie. Can be written or graphic. If written, must be 150 words. If graphic, must include renders and team logos (like in this example:

Center – Geoffrey Allen
he scored some goals.

Wing – Damien Wert
Damian Wert pretty much all out sniper. Scored 25 goals even passed the puck and got 26 assists I must have been drained out of playing while on the West Kendall Platoon. on that team there are no good players just a bunch of average players. all up and down the board you get average and then proceed to be average on that team. you come to toronto like wert and you light the lamp like a christmas tree on christmas eve on a white chistrmas on hockey night in Canada. and that's why he deserves MVP let's go bbbbboooooyyyys

Wing – Kristian Eriksson
he is my team mate he helped me score some goals as well as score som goals for himself

Defense – Friedrich Muller
he is a defenseman and scored some goals himself

Defense – Vladimir Lidstrom
he scored some goals himself while doing stuff

Goaltender – Christoffer Bjornssen
he may be a golatender but he saved some pucks

Task One:

Would you like to own the shards of the stick West Kendall Platoon rookie Pietra Volkova frustratedly snapped across her knee in the locker room after game 6 of the Eastern Conference semifinals? The stick with which she almost singlehandedly carried her team in her first playoff appearances features her signature down the shaft in silver and comes with a puck signed by the entire starting roster. To win, be the 32nd caller to 1-800-PLATOON after 5 pm the day after the last game of the SHL finals, and answer this simple trivia question:

Who was the first ever winner of the Ryan Jesster Award from the West Kendall Platoon?

Answer this question correctly, and you will be in possession of the first piece of credible evidence of the Platoon’s new hothead’s temper as well as a little plus for the kids! Must be 18 or older to call and a legal resident of the state of Florida to win.

Task Two:

The biggest game of this season’s SHL playoffs was, without a doubt, game 7 of the Eastern Conference matchup between the Minnesota Chiefs and New England Wolfpack. Both teams were heavily motivated, and fought a hard battle to bring the series to seven games. Minnesota fought its way back to an even series after falling behind to New England 3-1 in the series. Game 7 was do-or-die, on the home turf of the defending two-time cup champions. For the Chiefs, it was the chance to redeem themselves after perennial losses to this New England squad. For New England, the chance at continuing their run towards three consecutive cups for what would be the first time in SHL history. They would get that chance, as they came out on top by a single goal, scored with a minute and fifteen seconds to go in the game. Minnesota gave up a commanding four goal lead and with it, their chances at redemption. The game, however, would mark the Wolfpack’s last win in the playoffs. Like something from a Greek myth, the Wolfpack seemed to have exerted their last drop of energy to pull this one off, as they would fall to the Manhattan Rage in a four game series for the Eastern championship.

Task Three:

Task Four:

C - Geoffrey Allen Renegades - the player/manager for the Texas Renegades had another stellar season, posting 47 points and a +/- of 7.

LW - Damien Wert Stars- Though he’s been salty ever since, it would seem Wert’s trade to Toronto did him some good. The winger showed up on the ice consistently for a struggling Toronto team, putting up 25 goals and 51 points.

RW - Kristian Eriksson Stars- Eriksson posted 41 points and 212 hits, a solid season on a team in desperate need for some help.

D - Danny Foster Steelhawks - Danny Foster hit all the things on the ice this season. Winning the Turd Ferguson as a rookie, his physical style of play was a breakout in Hamilton and a promise of a solid future for the young defenseman.

D - Friedrich Muller Stampede - Muller was a bright spot on a basement Stampede team, putting up MVP numbers. His 71 shot blocks and 48 points were second and first for his team respectively, much appreciated by Buffalo but ultimately in vain.

G - Christopher Bjornsson Renegades - Bjornsson set himself apart as the clearcut best choice, posting a respectable .910 SV% and four shutouts on the season.

TASK TWO:
There is nothing more exciting in hockey than game seven of a series and with that said, the SMJHL Eastern Conference Finals were without doubt one of the biggest games in the playoffs so far! The underdog Detroit Falcons forced the powerhouse Halifax Raiders to game 7 and had the entire city of Detroit glued to the television. Many were In disbelief as a Raiders vs Knights finals was almost a sure thing but with the momentum on Detroit’s side, hype for the game was at an all-time high! Detroit silenced the Halifax crowd early with a goal from Matthew Rossi and Kaspars Berzins scored the game winner to advance Detroit to the finals! Something no one expected after they trade Kyle Kylrad. With the Eastern Conference finals completed it remains to be seen if the Falcons can complete the Cinderella story. But without a doubt, their game 7 victory was a game for the ages and has been one of the biggest games thus far.

TASK THREE:
Get ready Calgary Fans! The SHL Finals are about to start and you do not want to miss a second of it! Make sure you catch all the action here on the Fan 890 Calgary’s Ultimate Radio station for Dragons Hockey. Puck Drop is at 7 pm at the Saddledome but tune in at 5 pm for our pregame show! Featuring pre game analysis, predictions and interviews with the world’s best SHL analysts. Featuring special guests such as Dragon greats Kain Webb and Kari Barkov. Also Former Dragon Hall of Famer Chris McZehrl stops by to let us know whether he is cheering for his former team or VLAD McZehrl’s team! And yes it will all have to be translated unfortunately. Be sure to call in and have a chance to win a signed jersey from the Dragons player of your choice. Game 1 starts Monday be there to cheer on your Dragons!

TASK FOUR:
The playoffs are always time where extraordinary performances occur! This season it is hard to argue that with the playoffs Wyatt Wollker has been having that he should be MVP regardless of whether or not the Rage win the cup. Not many gave the Rage a chance to come out of the east against teams like the Wolfpack and Platoon. But on the back of Wollker’s strong play they Rage have done what many didn’t anticipate! What has been truly amazing is that he has played over 32 minutes per night. That’s over half the game! He has shown no signs of fatigue and has been a plus 5 through the playoffs with 23 blocked shots. He also has been leading the team along with Vlad McZehrl in terms of offense. He leads the team with 12 assists and has contributed 5 goals as well! His two-way play will be key for the Rage to win. Hopefully he doesn’t get burnt out!

TASK FIVE:

C- Jon Ross Steelhawks : The Steelhawks had 8 rookies in their lineup this season, Ross was one of them and was able to step up and become a leader on the team. Putting up 33 points and being their key face off man, Ross proved the future is bright for both himself and the Steelhawks

W – Lord Pretty Flacko Chiefs : The Chiefs are in a rebuild and missed out on the playoffs this season. However they still have some stars like Flacko who posted an insane 68 points! Flacko is arguably the most talented scorer in the league making him an obvious all star.

W – Damien Wert Stars : The Northstars’ Damien Wert had a break out season posting 51 points. While as a team Toronto was mostly negative, Wert was plus 16 and his solid play on a team that struggled makes him the second all star winger!

D- Friedrich Müller Stampede : The Buffalo Stampede had a great season this year and that was largely thanks to the efforts of Friedrich Muller! The defneseman posted 48 points and 71 shot blocks which led the team and undoubtedly would make him an all star! It’s a shame he is retiring as he really was the heart of the Stampede this season.

D - Rembrandt Q. Einstein Jets : The Jets missed out on the playoffs as well but Einstein continued his reliable play. Rembrant had 35 assists to lead the team and a defenseman who can make a good first pass is always welcome on any team!

G- Christoffer Bjornsson Renegades : The Renegades just missed out on the playoffs but you can’t blame Bjornsson for that! He posted 4 shutouts and a 910 save percentage (the best of any goalie not in the playoffs) making him our goalie all star!

Right here at the post game show, we will be awarding 4of our listeners the trip of a life time to the elimination games of the finals! That means that our first viewer chosen at random will win 2 tickets to the 4th game of the Challenge Cup Finals, he is the only viewer to get a guaranteed finals appearance. The 2nd viewer will win tickets to the 5th game, and will have very good chances of seeing the game unless one of the teams pulls a sweep. The 3rd viewer chosen at random will win tickets to game 6, and will be hoping the series gets that far, and finally our 4th viewer has the chance of witnessing the best game of the year, the big game 7 winner take all, however the series needs to reach the distance for him to get his reward!

3.
The S32 Challenge Cup is here and we have quite a unique matchup on display for us this year ladies and gentlemen. The Manhattan Rage have finally made the finals, after defeating the dynasty that is the New England Wolfpack! The Rage are a team that don’t get a lot of cheers around the league for their unique line-up strategie, playing Vlad McZerhl, Kian Hamilton, Roy Razin and Wyatt Wolker over 40 minutes per game! They also have a few more players playing over 30 minutes per game. They lack depth, but their superstars have gotten them to the finals. Meanwhile they face a team that is all too familiar with the finals, the Calgary Dragons, who barely made the playoffs this year over the Renegades, and for much of the year looked like they would miss it, but since they started the post season, they have been lights out defeating the top dogs in LA and the ever powerful Edmonton Blizzard!

4.
There are a few candidates this year for the Most Valuable Player of the playoffs award this year, but when you break it down I believe the best player this year has been Wyatt Wolker. From the blue line, Wolker has performed exceptionally well on offence, second to only his teammate Vlad McZerhl in scoring with 17 points in 10 games. He leads the post-season with 10 assists, and his 32.70 average minutes per game is also a lead in the playoffs, and absolutely absurd to say the least! Wolker has been played in all scenarios and has picked up a solid 7 points on the power play, and blocked 23 shots which is only 2nd to his teammate Roy Razin out of all players in the finals. Vlad McZerhl makes a strong case as well with his scoring, and Hunter Wong has been absolutely lights out for Calgary, however I believe Manhattan depends on their top guns more than Calgary does, and they depend the most on Wyatt Wolker.

5.
For our non-playoff all star team, we are going to start things off with the centre position. From the Winnipeg Jets the highest scoring centreman who did not make the playoffs Luke Fleming. At the 2 wings we will have the 2 highest scoring forwards and one of which who is the highest scoring skater who did not make the playoffs, Damien Wert and Geoffry Allen. On defence we have the highest scoring defender and 2nd highest scoring skater, who also put up 71 SB good for top 10 in the league, Friedrich Muller. His D partner scored the 2nd most points among defender and was also the 2nd highest in the league in shots blocked with 85, Jack Durden. Finally in the goaltender position we have Christoffer Bjornsson of the Renegades who put up a solid 26-15-2 record and a .910 save percentage, not to mention a 2.40 goals against average, but somehow failed to bring his team into the post-season.

TASK ONE:

Due to it's regional proximity to Vancouver and, more in more recent developments, Portland, Seattle is proud to give away at it's first home game promotional RIOT GEAR! Oh but don't start setting cars on fire and burning down the small businesses of foreigners just yet, fans! Plus, show up in your best homemade Riot Gear and be entered into a draw to receive a police escort to your car in the event of a loss! Show your pride this Sunday as Seattle meets New England and be ready to riot, y'all!

TASK THREE: Write a 150 word radio advert for the S32 Finals Matchup.

Come one, come all! This Sunday, live from historic Madison Square Garden, it's Game One of the Challenge Cup Finals between the Calgary Dragons and your Manhattan Rage! Come in droves to watch the greatest sport on Earth and cheer on your hometown Rage as they battle for the most prestigious title in all of fake hockey in the most famous arena of all time! The Rage have made short work of their first two round opponents, and need your help bringing the Championship home! TASK FOUR: Who is your choice for MVP? Must be 150 words.

When deciding a Most Valuable Player, one traditionally would consider the player most responsible to ensuring his teams success, as well as exceptional play. While few players in the league carried the load solely, one could argue that Vlad , with 70 points to lead the league, and 12 points more than his closest teammate, covered as much of the Rage would give him, and was instrumental to their success. The Rage exceeded expectations throughtout the regular season, based heavily on McZerl's strong, near 28 minute a night average performance. McZerl was an all around terror, coming up 2nd in the league in goals (with 31) and assists (with 39), while contributing 5 big game winning goals throughout the season. A strong argument could be made for Lord Pretty Flacko, whose contributions and league leading goal totals gave Minnesota one last shot as relevance before the rebuild, but McZerl debatably carried Manhattan all the way from a playoff cusp team to 2nd place in their conference and deserves the Sarmad Khan award

TASK FIVE:

C-Luke Fleming
Super star and super bae. North of 20 goals and 20 assists this season. Deserved a better finish. Still though, bae as all hell, on and off the ice.
W-Geoffrey Allen
Also fairly bae. Can't you just see his sad face over missing the playoffs? Doesn't it make you sad? It makes me sad. 47 points to lead the Renegades in scoring. Also Onyx is better than Pushkin.
W-Kristian Eriksson
Over 20 goals on one of the worst non-Portland teams in the league. Good enough for the nod. One of only two 20 goal men in the North Stars lineup.
D-Kelly Rivet
The shot blocking master and second sexiest player on his own defensive pair. Did his best to keep Admirals games respectable despite mediocre partnership.
D-Friedrich Muller
Could make an argument that he carried the Stampede on defense. Had a quality year making the best of a guaranteed poor campaign for the team.
G-Christoffer Bjornsson
Excellent numbers for a goalie whose team didn't make the post season. A 26-15-2 record is a frustratingly good one to take to the golf course with you.

TASK TWO: What has been the biggest game of the playoffs so far? Can be either SHL or SMHJL, 150 words.

The biggest game of the playoffs was game 1 of the Final Round. The Calgary Dragons were coming off solid wins over two very strong teams - they trounced the regular season champs, the Los Angeles Panthers, in a 5 game set in which they rattled LAP's rookie goaltender repeatedly, then they bounced the two-time Western Champs, the Edmonton Blizzard, in a solid round. The Manhattan Rage were riding a hot streak that had seen them close out the regular season strongly to finish second in the East. They stared down a tough team in WKP, and managed to prevail, then they shocked the hockey world by bouncing the back-to-back Champion New England Wolfpack in a 4-game sweep.

Both teams were coming into the Finals confident, the Dragons with one of the deepest and strongest teams in the league, the Rage boasting some of the highest-scoring players in the league. By the time the first period was over, the Dragons had potted 5 goals against the Rage, and never looked back. They proved that their experience and balanced roster was going to be able to both score, and shut down the Rage's top players. That set the tone for the rest of the round, and Calgary went on to win the Cup fairly easily.

TASK THREE: Write a 150 word radio advert for the S32 Finals Matchup.

Adolf's Sports Bar is ALL THE RAGE!!!

TASK FOUR: Who is your choice for MVP? Must be 150 words.

The playoff MVP for Season 32 is none other than goaltender Hunter Wong of the Calgary Dragons. The Dragons faced 3 of the highest scoring regular-season teams in each round, and in each of them, he out-dueled his counterpart and completely shut down the opponent's best players. In 5 games against the Panthers, he only allowed 9 goals, including a shutout. Edmonton was able to win 2 games, but in their 4 losses, Wong held them to 2 goals or less. Then, facing the high-scoring Rage, Wong was spectacular, again allowing only 9 goals in the 5 total games, only allowing 1 goal in each of the last 2 games, securing Calgary's championship! Having such a spectacular goaltender in net gives the team confidence to go out and play their game with no worries!

TASK FIVE: Create an All Star starting lineup of players that did not make the playoffs. Must include a center, two wings, two defence and a goalie. Can be written or graphic. If written, must be 150 words. If graphic, must include renders and team logos (like in this example: http://web-vassets.ea.com/Assets/Richmedia...T-team1_WM.jpg)

C. Geoffrey Allen (TEX) - S32 Stats: 23G 24A 47 Pts

LW: Damien Wert (TOR) - S32 Stats: 25G 26A 51 Pts

RW: Kristian Eriksson (TOR) - S32 Stats: 23G 18A 41 Pts

D: Friedrich Müller (BUF) - S32 Stats: 21G 27A 48 Pts

D: Vladimir Lidstrom (TEX) - S32 Stats: 7G 38A 45 Pts

G: Christoffer Bjornsson (TEX) - S32 Stats: .910SV% 2.40 GAA

I selected this team by looking at the individual leaders categories for each position and picking the highest ranked players. Interesting that TEX has 3 of them, showing they really were robbed by not making the playoffs, as they clearly have some talented players!

TASK THREE: Write a 150 word radio advert for the S32 Finals Matchup.

Enough talk about hockey, next we will listen to some Rammstein! (150+)

TASK FOUR: Who is your choice for MVP? Must be 150 words.

I think there are quite few good options for the MVP award, Flacko from Minnesota scored 36 goals, Chris Crutchfield from LAP who was the leading scorer among defenders with 49 points in 50 games and Brett Broadway who was dominating on net for Edmonton, he had the highest saving percentage and lowest Goals against average rating.

Right or wrong, there is still one player who is perhaps the favorite to win the MVP award, Chris McZehrl from Manhattan collected nasty 70 points during the regular season and is now leading the playoffs in scoring with 19 points.

He has played well over 30 minutes each game during the playoffs and played over 27 on average during the regular season. Playing a lot seems to be guaranteed way to high point totals, Top-4 scores in the regular season all played over 27 minutes. Of course, Flacko and Mczehrl were still the leading players with Flacko scoring 68 and Mczehrl 70 points. After those two the 3rd and 4th best ´only´ had 58 and 57 points.

Going to say that even though he played a lot, scoring 70 points is not something you see every season and who knows when it happens next? Mczehrl is my guess and pick for the MVP award.

(+150)

TASK FIVE: Create an All Star starting lineup of players that did not make the playoffs. Must include a center, two wings, two defence and a goalie. Can be written or graphic. If written, must be 150 words. If graphic, must include renders and team logos

Unfortunately everybody cant play in the playoffs, which means there is quite few excellent players who started their off-season earlier than the others. Next we take a look on some of those players who could and should be playing hockey instead of volleyball.

Center Geoffrey Allen - Renegades
23+24 in 50 games made him the 5th best scorer among centers. I´m sure Texas will be in the playoffs again in the future.

Winger Kristian Eriksson - Stars
23+18 in 50 games. Eriksson was one of two players who managed to reach the 20 goal mark in Toronto. Kristian also had solid 212 hits, which was third best in the whole league!

Winger Damien Wert - Stars
25+26 in 50 games made him the leading scorer of Toronto, but also one of the highest scoring wingers in the whole league.

Defense Friedrich Müller - Stampede
21+27 in 50 games. Those 21 goals and his ability to shoot the puck could and would be worth a lot in the playoffs when the difference between going to the next round and holiday time can often be just one goal.

Defense Vladimir Lidstrom - Renegades
7+38 in 50 games. Sixth in the defender scoring race. Played a lot every game, but that did not have a effect on him, played well from the first game all the way to the last one.

Goalie
Christoffer Bjornsson - Renegades
26 wins in 43 games, Bjornsson faced 1156 shots and managed to save 91.0 % of those shots. He gave Texas a chance to win every night and even though he did not face as many shots as some other goalies, his saving percentage shows he was able to stay focused even when the shot numbers were low at times.

TASK TWO: What has been the biggest game of the playoffs so far? Can be either SHL or SMHJL, 150 words.

Biggest Game of the S32 Playoffs - Minnesota Chiefs vs New England Wolfpack - Game 7

There can be no question that the biggest game of the playoffs was the only game 7 in these playoffs (can hardly believe this!Wink, which was the New England Wolfpack vs the Minnesota Chiefs in the first round.

With the series tied at 3 games, this was anyone’s game, with a chance to go up against the upstart Manhattan Rage in the Conference Finals!

The Wolfpack who won the SHL Championship last season where the favorite of course, but the Chiefs had proven resilient and had equalled the Wolfpacks effort thus far in the first round.

The game itself was nothing but incredible, with Minnesota going up 4-0, just 2:22 into the second period! Everything though the Chiefs were moving on to the next round, but slowly, but surely the Champions clawed their way back into this game, 4-1, then 4-2, then 4-3, finally tying it up 4-4, with less then 8 minutes to go….and finally put a nail in the Chiefs coffin with under 2 minutes remaining to win the game, 5-4 and the series 4 games to 3!!

This was on heck of a series and an incredible final game!

TASK FOUR: Who is your choice for MVP? Must be 150 words.

Playoff MVP – Harry Hans

You might wonder why my playoff MVP would be from the team that lost the SHL Championship and not one of the two leading point producers on that team, and to be honest my reasons are simple.

Firstly, Manhattan was dark horse to make it this far and even with that being the case we all know McZ and Wolker would produce offensive. I mean how could they not when they get a bazillion minutes of ice time. The issue with Manhattan is depth and unless someone stepped up they would like fall because of this…. therefore, Harry Hans deserves mention, because he had a respectable, but much less then the above two 21 minutes of ice time and produced over a point per game.

Now he was promoted to the top line in the playoffs and this helps, but in the regular season was on the second line and still produced well and to note that is +/- was twice as good as these other two players to me puts Manhattan on notice that overplaying some players can actually result in them costing you games, instead of winning you contests.

In the end, if Harry Hans did not step up, which he did, Manhattan would have been out early in the playoffs.

TASK FIVE: Create an All Star starting lineup of players that did not make the playoffs. Must include a center, two wings, two defence and a goalie. Can be written or graphic. Playoff Line-up (from Teams not in the S32 Playoffs)

Luke Fleming © – Centering the playoff bound roster would be Luke Fleming from the Winnipeg Jets, who registered 44 points and would likely find great chemistry with his wingers, Allen and Wert.

Damien Wert (W) – Toronto’s Damien Wert had probably the most impressive regular season out of this entire group, with 51 points and would help create a deadly top line for this playoff bound team.

Geoffrey Allen (W) – This is a no brainer considering he got 47 points in the regular season, leading the Texas Renegades in points and would compliment a playoff bound team very well.

Valdimir Lidstrom (D) – Not far behind Mr. Allen, Lidstrom was the star defenseman on the Renegades, registering 45 points and would fit well on a playoff bound roster.

Fredrick Muller (D) – The other d-man to join the playoff bound squad would be Fredrick Muller, who registered an impressive 48 points during the regular season for the Buffalo Stampede and would pair nicely with Lidstrom.

Christoffer Bjornsson (G) – Christoffer would finalize this group with his solid play in net, registering an impressive 26 wins in the regular season and a .910 save percentage, he would no doubt keep this star-studded line-up in games throughout the playoffs.

Quote:TASK TWO: What has been the biggest game of the playoffs so far? Can be either SHL or SMHJL, 150 words.

I'm gonna make the argument, actually, that the biggest game of the playoffs actually happened in the quarter finals -- and that it was Game 6 between defending cup champions New England and bottom-seed qualifier Minnesota. The Wolfpack had a strong start against the Chiefs, with two regulation wins against the team they had no problems with during last year's run; the problems started in Game 3, with their first regulation loss to the Eastern Conference underdogs. They came back strong in a Game 4 win, but failed to take the series in Game 5 -- with a second regulation loss to the Chiefs, 2-to-1. The stage was set for an absolutely brutal Game 6 -- scoreless in the first period -- that drew itself out to a triple-overtime ordeal. Robert Andersson frankly outplayed himself in net for the Chiefs, securing a 0.966 SV% on an astounding 58 shots, with Laukkanen frankly not far behind with 0.929 SV% on 42 shots; a game where both teams' offense were confounded by absurdly confident displays in net, where confident and aggressive puck possession was equalized by bodily defense. Banananov secured the game-winner for Minnesota, forcing a Game 7 which New England went on to win -- but the series exhausted the cup champs so thoroughly they collapsed against Manhattan (arguably the dark horse puzzler of a team that many did not predict to continue on into the finals) in the semi-finals in a neat four games. If it hadn't been for Minnesota taking the wind out of New England's sails, a third cup championship could very well have been on the horizon for this otherwise-gilded team.

Quote:TASK FOUR: Who is your choice for MVP? Must be 150 words.

RANDY RANDLEMAN, captain of the Calgary Dragons, is my vote for the S32 Challenge Cup Tournament MVP. While not the tournament points leader, nor team points leader -- (those distinctions go to VLAD McZehrl, MAN, and Alex Mack, CGY, respectively) Randleman's influence on Calgary's success was visible through-out the tournament. Particularly so against Manhattan, where Calgary's ability to kill penalties and staunch defensive awareness almost allowed them to sweep Manhattan's clawing attempts at seeing a cup for the first time in ten seasons -- Randleman was given an opportunity to shine. Randleman collected a short-handed goal, two game-winning goals, was part of a 91.11% successful penalty kill against the Rage (who were awarded a total of 107 minutes of Dragons' PIM to work with over their five-game series), in addition to playing a high-shooting, high-hitting physical game which kept the Dragons hand-and-fist ahead of the competitive level they saw on their road to the Challenge Cup this season.

NOTE: It's worth mentioning I prioritized diversity of roster over straight statistical performance during S32, partly to emulate the way an actual All-Star vote might go, partly because this gets boring if everyone agrees on the same roster over and over and over ad infinitum for nine fucking pages of CW entries.

CENTER: Renegades Geoffrey Allen Renegades -- Team USA superstar, Renes mainstay, his S32 was nothing to sneer at, if perhaps the rest of his team didn't manage to elevate their overall performance above the high-end of average. Six game-winning goals, one of the three centers to actually make it onto the season's goals leaderboard, his 47 points putting him solidly in the middle of the pack for top-10 center performance, the clear choice to center any non-playoffs All-Star line-up.

WING: Stampede Nolan Angello Stampede -- The best the Stampede's otherwise lackluster season performance had to offer, Angello did alright for himself considering. 17 goals, 19 assists, for a total of 36 points. The only forward on the Buffalo squad to out-hit him was Wachter -- but in return, Wachter was lower-producing. Angello also netted himself three tide-turning goals (two GWG, one GTG).

WING: Stars Damien Wert Stars -- Wert went to work for Toronto over the course of S32; tied for 4OA on the S32 leaderboard for goals, shot the house down with a total of 249 shots over the course of the regular season, and tied the league for highest number of short-handed goals on the penalty kill. He did all this while being 4OA in points for all wingers across the league. He's a player that out-performed his team, and he belongs on any All-Star squad, not just one comprised of those who didn't clinch playoff berth.

---

DEFENSE: Jets Rembrandt Q. Einstein Jets -- The man, the myth, the legend, Einstein is one of two players on the Jets squad (the other being Fleming) that have, season-after-season, thoroughly out-played the rest of their team. Number 10OA in defensive scoring, and 10OA league-wide in assists, he put up just over 60 blocked shots and possesses a diversity of play that allows him to be 2nd special teams points on both the powerplay and have second highest overall PK minutes.

DEFENSE: Steelhawks Danny Foster Steelhawks -- I mean, there are other people I could've picked here that wouldn't have been Danny "Bananas" Motherfucking Foster, but they wouldn't have half as much fun knocking the piss out of everyone else on the ice.

GOALIE: Renegades Christoffer Bjornsson Renegades -- The most logical choice, and -- frankly -- after eliminating all of the teams that made the playoffs, the only choice, Bjornsson put up a stand-up performance in net for the Renegades this season; four shut-outs, second OA in shoot-out percentage, third highest win-count with 43 games played and a GAA of 2.40 with an SV% of .910, Bjornsson was beyond solid as a backstop for the Renes.

TASK ONE: Create a giveaway for a unique piece of playoff memorabilia. Can be written or graphic. If written, must be 150 words, if graphic, must include a picture of the item and the team logo.
Do you want a piece of Dragons history?! Then listen closely to what I have for you. Its game five of the Challenge Cup finals between the Calgary Dragons and the Manhattan Rage. Early in the second period and Maximus Sarone has just scored to make it a one goal game and keep the Manhattan playoff chances alive. The Rage are starting to get some energy going and spark a comeback when Tommy Creller gets the puck to Alex Mack. Randy Randleman takes a one timer from Alex Mack and the puck finds the back of the net to give the Dragons a 3-1 lead and deflate the hopes of the Manhattan Rage. Manhattan would score another goal but never catch up, giving Randy Randleman the game winning goal in the series winning game 5 of the S32 Challenge Cup playoffs. Enter our Calgary Dragons Fan Giveaway Lottery for your chance to win the stick that Randy Randleman buried that historic goal with. The stick still has his tape job and all the puck and slash marks from this game that will forever be remembered by the Calgary Dragons as their 3rd Challenge Cup since S27.

TASK FOUR: Who is your choice for MVP? Must be 150 words.
My choice for MVP is an easy one. The award goes to Hunter Wong, the playoff hero for the S32 Calgary Dragons. "Wongy" as hes affectionately called by his teammates was the backbone of a Dragons team that barely snuck into the playoffs right at the end of the season. A team riddled with talent who needed their goaltender to play lights out to get them the cup. With Wong between the pipes the Dragons didn't have to go to a single game 7 during their entire playoff run. The team knew with Wong stopping everything coming his way that they were free to play a wide open offensive game and they were able to go for the jugular when it counted, coming up 3-0 in elimination games during the S32 playoffs. None of this would have been possible if the team didn't have a great goaltender whom they believed in. If Wong didn't play like he did the team would have been forced to play a more defensive game and wouldn't have been able to play the way they wanted offensively. Luckily they had Hunter Wong, playoff extraordinaire, and your MVP.

TASK TWO: What has been the biggest game of the playoffs so far? Can be either SHL or SMHJL, 150 words.

Game 2, Eastern Conference Finals: the Manhattan Rage make their way back to the Boston arena to take on 2 time defending champions in the New England Wolfpack. No one expected them to beat the Platoon in 6 games, and the 4-1 Game One win was a shock. The Rage came back looking for blood, and found it early with 2 goals late in the 1st period, Reinis Ausmeisters and David Webb's first goals of the playoffs. Roy Razin, in his final season, was conducting the team in a way only an old pro could, and the Rage were off. Picking up his 3rd assist in the 2nd, Roy watched as his team pulled away in the final period to get up to 5-1. This dominant 9-2 start left the Wolfpack down, and ultimately led to the Rage going to the Challenge Cup. This makes the second game of the Eastern Conference Finals the most important of the postseason.

TASK THREE: Write a 150 word radio advert for the S32 Finals Matchup.

Well, what do we have here, folks? It's Rod the Bod, from 93.7 The Buzz *laser sound* 93.7, THE BOD! *machine gun* Hot Takes in the Morning! And boy, do we have an SHL matchup for you. Yeah, yeah, 93.7 The Buzz is a Salt Lake City radio station. "Why are we doing hockey here, Rod?" "Yeah, Rod, we need other news than this weird little hockey league, what you doin', Bod?" Well, I'll tell you why: Dragons. Yeah, as the story goes, apparently there are a bunch of real, fire-breathing Dragons that actually made themselves down to human size, like the Harry Potter series, and they skate and everything! Folks, you know Rod the Bod is the most morally upstanding member of the Salt Lake City radio arena, but boy, am I smoked. Dragons? On ice? Now that's something I HAVE to see. *mumbling in the background* Well, apparently, I'm wrong: no dragons on ice. A sad day for sports indeed.

TASK FOUR: Who is your choice for MVP? Must be 150 words.

It's not even close. If Michael McFadden had made it out of the first round, his numbers in Seattle might be comparable, but when you talk about the winning Calgary Dragons and everything they've aspired to be, you look to the 10+ season veteran in net: Hunter Wong. Alex Mack might be the best distributor in the entire playoffs. Pierre-Luc Laflamme might be one of the better physical scorers on the team, and Esa Anrikkanen is the old goat that makes the team run on time. But you cannot ignore the impressive performance of Wong. Not relying on too many shutouts for his stats, in 16 games, he managed one shutout but still posted a 2.02 GAA! That's unreal! The highest save percentage in the postseason is usually heralded as the best goalie in the playoffs, but that barely does it justice. The S21 draftee has been worth every penny in this playoff run, and the Dragons have him to thank.

TASK ONE: Create a giveaway for a unique piece of playoff memorabilia. Can be written or graphic. If written, must be 150 words, if graphic, must include a picture of the item and the team logo.

The Calgary Dragons have taken down the top LA Panthers, and the Blizzard in rather easy fashion. What is there secret? And where can you get some of it. The answer is they chug a pint of their lucky dragon urine, and it makes them play out of this world!

This is your chance for you and 3 of your friends to have ice time with 4 of your favourite Dragons, watch game 3 at home in the VIP box, be present in the locker room pre-game and take in their drinking of lucky Dragon’s urine ritual, and also receive signed memorabilia from the team – such as sticks, jerseys, and a poster of you with the team.

All you have to do is get together with your foursome and prove that you are the most hardcore Dragon’s fans in whichever way you can think of. Send in a video to the official Calgary Dragons Twitter feed and pray that you are the winner!

TASK TWO: What has been the biggest game of the playoffs so far? Can be either SHL or SMHJL, 150 words.

The Los Angeles Panthers dominated the league in the regular season. They were a given to get out of at least round 1 of the playoffs. But, only the Calgary Dragons stood in their way. Already down 3-1 in the series, game 5 took place on home ice. Panthers fans were going crazy with rally towels waving around and chanting and screaming and stripping and drunken stumbling. This was the start of their comeback.

Not so. The Calgary Dragons turned their play to 11 and dominated the Panthers at home to move onto the next round. Solidifying the start to an epic playoff run.

The Dragons trounced the Panthers 7 – 1. They came out flying with their first goal in the 3 minute mark of the game. Followed by another in the 4 minute mark. They outshot the Panthers 46 – 27. Rookie goaltender Timo Haas was a beauty all season long, but maybe nerves got the best of him.

The Dragons went 1/5 on the powerplay and didn’t let the Panthers get any momentum by shutting them down 4/4 on the penalty kill.

The line up of Esa Anrikkanen, Nicholas Pedersen, Shane Gagner had 4 points each. That’s 12 points combined for those of you that don’t like math. Followed by 3 points from defenseman Fernando Pergher. The Panthers stood no chance in this game.

TASK FOUR: Who is your choice for MVP? Must be 150 words.

Vlad McZehrl and the Manhattan Rage have been a force in these playoffs. They have won their series handedly 4 - 2 against West Kendall Platoon, and 4 - 0 against the repeat defending champs; New England Wolfpack.

Vlad McZehrl is the leading scorer for the rage and the playoffs (just 2 points ahead of teammate Wolker). In 10 games of play he has scored 8 goals, 11 assists (19 points). That’s almost 2 points per game. Hard to argue with that. He also possesses a +5 rating, 62 shots on goal (6.2 / game) and 44 hits. He has helped on the powerplay as well, registering 8 points. The one detractor from his MVP claim, is that he plays 32.5 minutes per game. A bit excessive if you ask me. But, you need to play your star players more, to get all the W’s and cruise into the Challenge Cup Finals.

TASK FIVE: Create an All Star starting lineup of players that did not make the playoffs. Must include a center, two wings, two defence and a goalie. Can be written or graphic. If written, must be 150 words. If graphic, must include renders and team logos

Not all the great players in the league belong to team that are in the playoffs. Below is a list of a top tier All Star line made up of the teams that did not make the playoffs.

Teams that did not make playoffs are;
East: Texas Renegades, Winnipeg Jets, Portland Admirals
West: Buffalo Stampede, Hamilton Steelhawks, Toronto Northstars

The Non playoff All Star line up will include one individual from each team. So I did not mean to snub anyone.

Centre – Geoffrey Allen (Texas Renegades)
23 G, 24 A, 47 Points, +7, 9 ppp
Wing – Damien Wert (Toronto North Stars)
25 G, 26 A, 51 Points, +16, 12 ppp
Wing – Luke Fleming (Winnipeg Jets)
21 G, 23 A, 44 Points, +4, 14 ppp
Defense – Friedrich Muller (Buffalo Stampede)
21 G, 27 A, 48 Points, +14, 19 ppp
Defense – Kelly Rivet (Portland Admirals)

Goalie – Julius Sylvia (Hamilton Steelhawks)

TASK TWO: What has been the biggest game of the playoffs so far? Can be either SHL or SMHJL, 150 words.

I think other people believe this but Round 1, Game 7, between the Minnesota Chiefs and the New England Wolfpack. It was an epic game. The defending champions against the 'rebuilding' team which the chiefs prospect said multiple times. It starts off with a 4-0 just by the ending of the 2nd period. The Wolfpack did not score and it was 4-0 for the Minnesota Chiefs and remember, this is game 7 and if the Chiefs win, they'll move on to Round 2. Chiefs think they won but the Wolfpacks didn't think that. And rewind to the Leafs Bruins game 7. The Wolfpacks scored 5 unanswered goals in 30 minutes which is very rare in the SHL and win game 7 in regulation. It was unbelievable. No one expected this and anything can happen. The Wolfpacks showed why they were champs in S31 and had an incredible finish. The game 7 in round 1 between the Minnesota Chiefs and New England Wolfpack is arguable the best game in the S32 playoffs so far.

TASK FOUR: Who is your choice for MVP? Must be 150 words.

My choice for the Most Valuable Player for the SHL Playoffs is clearly Vlad McZehrl. One of the reasons his team the Rage made it to the SHL Finals. He finished the the Conference Finals with 19 points in 10 games. That is almost 2 Point Per Game. He leads the SHL Playoff league in goals and points. He is 2nd in assists just behind his teammate Wyatt Wollker. Vlad McZehrl is a great penalty killer blocking shots and intercepting passes from his opponents. He is clearly the top Most Valuable Player choice now. If Vlad McZehrl was not there with the Rage, the Rage would not be where they are now and that is in the SHL finals. If he does not continue in the Finals what he did in 3 rounds, the MVP chance might drop and that would be a big drop for Vlad McZehrl. He's still the top choice but he has to lead his team to the CHallenge Cup and being incredible still and racking up points.

We know there are great players and star players in the playoffs and but there are great players who are not even in the playoffs due to either purpose, luck or lack of effort. The players who I have mentioned at the bottom are players from non-playoff teams and in the Leafer's All Star starting lineup. At Centre will be Sven Karlsson. He should be disappointed he got traded from a playoff team to a non-playoff team when LA traded him. He's a grit centre with heavy hits and great passes. At RW, again from the Toronto Northern Stars, Damien Wert. He's a good offensive player racking up 40 points and 249 shots. At LW, from the Renengades, Geoffrey Allen. Terrific player with 47 points which is worth an all-star for non playoff players with a 11% SH%. At defense, arguable from the Stampedes, Friedrich Müller and Vladimir Lidstrom. Great pair that apparently did not make the playoffs. Both combine for 138 blocked shots and 93 points. And goalie, from the Renegades, Christoffer Bjornsson. 26 wins with 4 shutouts and a SV% of .910 which is really good for a non-playoff team.

Ladies and Gentleman, The All Star Starting lineup for non-playoff players.

Centre: Sven Karlsson Stars 16-24-40 . 140 H . 168 SOG

RW: Damien Wert - Stars 25-26-51 . +16 . 249 SOG

LW: Geoffrey Allen - Renegades 23-24-47 . 209 SOG . SH% 11.00%

D: Friedrich Müller - Stampede 21-27-48 . MP 1141 . SB 71

D: Vladimir Lidstrom - Stampede 7-38-45 . SB 67 . MP 1397

G: Christoffer Bjornsson - Renegades Record 26-15-2 . GAA 2.44 . SV% .910 . SO: 4

TASK TWO: What has been the biggest game of the playoffs so far? Can be either SHL or SMHJL, 150 words.

Up against their long time rival Blizzard, the Dragons found themselves heading into game 6 of the Conference Finals trying to get back to the cup for the 1st time since winning it in season 29. Edmonton having back to back appearances seemed ready to not give it up so easily and many wondered if the Dragons could truly close this out. Que a massive performance by the Dragons team in and all too sweet 4-1 Victory. Relying on a clutch performance in net by Hunter Wong (stopping 21 of 22 shots) and a evenly spread offensive effort (all 4 goals from seperate players, with only Boychuk and Zoidberg putting up 2 points)the Dragons marched their way back into the Finals to try and show everyone that the core is still there. Still hungry. Ready to win it all again. This was a statement game for th Dragons, and maybe a hurtful one for the Blizzard, who dispite recent successes have faltered once again at the finish line. TASK THREE: Write a 150 word radio advert for the S32 Finals Matchup.

SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY. This sunday come on out for gammmmmeee one of the Challenge Cup Finals. We have the Manhattan RAGE RAGE RAGE VERSUS the Calgary DRRRRRRAAAAGGGOOONNNSS. The Manhattan Rage sport such stars as VLAD 'The impailer and Minute Eater' McZherl, Ace "Full house" Redding, Roy "THE RAZOR" Razin, Wyatt "Shuffle" Walker and Son of SHL Legend, Jason "How was I 4th Overall" Aittokallio! Harry "Balls" Hans! Ekaterina "Whose thristy?" Rudnikova! Kian "Not the Steelhawks" Hamilton! Marc "Stop giving me paperwork" Leclerc!

But they are in it tough as they face the Dragons, who have brought their own weapons to the table. Your Dragons stars who plan to hopefully not be slain....Esa "Chicken Parm" Anrikkanen, Hunter "Im Right Not" Wong, Tommy "Its not Crulleur" Creller! Be there to see all the action, as the two teams kick off the finals and both try for their first cups since S22 (Manhattan) and Calgary (S29). Be there. Or be Square. (186 words)

TASK FOUR: Who is your choice for MVP? Must be 150 words.

Brett Broadway - EDM - 29-14-1 GAA: 2.02 SO: 8 SV% .926%

This is an easy choice for me as Broadway put up near godly levels of numbers this year for his team. In an extremely strong Western Conference Edmonton would not have had a playoff appearance to talk to if it wasn't for the efforts of Broadway. With a strong team in front of him for sure, he still went above and beyond as a player this year. Finishing just sigh of 30 wins (65.9% of his starts were wins) and having 8 shutouts in only 44 games played shows how dialed in he was. He even challenged the regular season record for save % for goalies. The probably most scary part about this all? Broadway is a S26 draftee. He has a lot of tread left on the tires and even room to grow still. There was a large amount of great performances this year at the forward position, defense and even other goalies, but Broadways was one above them all, and should deservedly so get the nod for this years MVP. (171 words)

TASK FIVE: Create an All Star starting lineup of players that did not make the playoffs. Must include a center, two wings, two defence and a goalie. Can be written or graphic. If written, must be 150 words. If graphic, must include renders and team logos

These players were all a fairly easy choice as I constructed this list. With Buffalo and Texas both on the outside looking in, it was hard to imagine with such key contributions from it's players that they were in that position. Allen centering the Texas offense and Bjornsson holding the fort in net all year, they did their best to vault Texas into the playoffs but fell just shy. With maybe alittle more help they could find themselves next year. The old guard (Muller) and Fresh face (Selich) steal 2 spots for buffalo. Muller having an other worldly year for his team and Selich showing why he was taken 2nd overall. Look for Selich to continue this level of success moving forward. Rounding out the top players is surprise success Danny Foster out of Hamilton and all for nothing performance of Damien Wert from Toronto. Foster being my defensive partner in Hamilton may be a surprise to many but playing with him all year, it was nothing new to me. He's the real deal. (174 words)

C - Geoffrey Allen Renegades - 23-24-47 +7 209 Shots

D - Friedrich Müller Stampede - 21-27-48 +14 71 SB
