To begin we will eliminate from the ballot those candidates who received the fewest votes. Of the 11 players on this years ballot, two players were given only one vote and will not be a part of this year's Hall of Fame class. Unfortunately, this years recipients of just one votes are.....

DEAN COLT, and......

....LIAM KINSLER.

Our commiserations to Liam Kinsler and Dean Colt, who received only a single vote each and will not be a part of this years Hall of Fame class.

We are now down to 9 names on this year's Hall of Fame ballot, all of which had highly successful careers in the SHL. We will go ahead and remove another three names from the ballot now and reduce it to the final 6 in contention to join the Hall of Fame.

Without further ado, the next three unfortunate players who will not be joining the Hall of Fame this year are..

....REMBRANDT Q. EINSTEN

...YURI BOYKA, AND,....

PATRICK BRUMM.

Brumm received 3 votes on the Hall of Fame ballot while Einstein and Boyka both received 5. Unfortunately they will not be joining the SHL Hall of Fame this season, but all enjoyed fantastic careers and should not rule out an induction in seasons to come.

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, WITH OUR BALLOT BEING DOWN TO THE FINAL 6 POSSIBLE PLAYERS, WE WILL BE MAKING OUR FIRST INDUCTION OF THE NIGHT.

The first player to enter the Hall of Fame in tonight's ceremony is a name that will be familiar to all in the league. One of the greatest defensemen of his generation, the player in question was a second overall draft pick all the way back in S20. He was a lifelong member of the West Kendall Platoon, playing 17 seasons in the SHL and finishing in 6th place in all time points scored by a defenseman. During his time in the league he was the winner of two Damian Littleton trophies, and two Turd Ferguson awards, but that doesn't do justice to the influence and success he enjoyed during his many years in the SHL. His personality off the ice is just as famous as his prowess on it, and he has been one of the league's most popular figures for as long as many can remember. It gives me great pleasure to announce that, the first inductee of the S38 Hall of Fame class is none other than...

It is time to eliminate another two names from the ballot. With just five names remaining for this season, and with one player already in the Hall of Fame, we shorten the list to the final 3 players who might become a part of the esteemed few this time around. Unfortunately, the next two names that will not be joining the Hall of Fame tonight are...

MAXIM HORVAT....

BRANDON CANT.

Maxim and Brandon will not be joining the Hall of Fame this season despite their great achievements in the league. Don't lose heart, there's always next time!

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, WITH OUR BALLOT DOWN TO THE FINAL 3 NAMES, WE HAVE ANOTHER NAME TO WELCOME INTO THE HALL OF FAME.

Our next inductee is like our first in that he is a defenseman who spent the entirety of his career with one SHL franchise. Also like our first inductee, he was a draft pick in the S20 SHL Draft, being selected in the second round by the Edmonton Blizzard. During 11 seasons in the league, this player established himself as an authoritative offensive defenseman, able to power his team on the offense and drive the play in all areas. A figurehead player for his team who became synonymous with the Blizzard and all the success they enjoyed, the pinnacle of his success came in leading his team to a Challenge Cup in S28, and being nominated for the Scott Stevens trophy as one of the league's best defenseman on various occasions. A player who's value went far beyond his impressive stat line, he was one of the best of his generation and a leader of a franchise without a doubt.
