Generally speaking in the games I've played it's smarter for the village to wait around on Day 1 rather than to vote. Voting right now could be a high risk move - we don't want to vote out valuable role. However I've never played where the role is revealed upon death - so that might change things?

Usually it’s good to wait the first night and not vote anyone...we need to be careful with CFJ though as he doesn’t mind tossing a vote 30 seconds before cut off

Last game CFJ was mayor and vote sniped sleepy. He had no idea what sleepy was, but it turned out sleepy was a wolf, so it worked out well for the village, but it was 100% random.
