Whalers season ticket holders had a lot to look forward to over the weekend as the team held their annual "Whale of a Time FanFest" down at the Arena District. Organized mainly by the teams rookies this year, the event featured all of the teams recent picks and acquisitions in a variety of activities including 'Dunk the Captains', 'Build a Whale', and a Q + A with the rookies and players that attended the event.

Second overall pick and Assistant Captain Alex Andani was particularly popular with the fans as his early performance has captivated the league and turned some heads as a potential top 5 pick heading into next seasons SHL Entry Draft. "When we (the rookies) found out we were on the hook for organizing this thing we weren't really sure where to begin. We heard that the rookies had to dress up in animal costumes for the event last year so we definitely avoided having the older guys talk us into doing that. I, for one, was not interested in seeing Ballsy (Kristaps Ball) in a leopard-print leotard."

Officials with the team said 85% of the teams season ticket holders attended the event but wouldn't give a set number. It's rumored that the event will likely drop the season ticket holder exclusivity next season in lieu of a series of private Q+A/Meet and Greets for the season ticket holders but nothing official has come from the team as of yet.

King Tut can barely speak english, all of his interviews are done via translator. It became a shock when he would be part of the Ticket Holders interview. His jersey when traded for flew off Montreal shelves quicker than they could stock. The hulking Egyptian was more than meets the eye.

The ticket drive saw him and fellow rookies competing in certian events. They choose to show off their strengths so naturally he was not asked to dangle the puck through pilons. Instead he showed off his shot, not just in hardest shot competition which he won easily with a 105mile and hour slap shot. He also shows off he can pick corners with the best of them, hitting 4 for 4 in the shooting contest. He was displayed like a trophy won, despite the fact that he was not drafted to the Milita he was seen as a prize. He was also entered in the fastest skater he did not win, but for a man his size he showed he could skate among the best on the rookie crop. It was the only contest he failed to win that day of the 3 he was entered in. Other contests included, passing, puck control, and breakaway contests.

To celebrate his quick signing with the Montreal Militia, Nico decided to hold a pretty unique event at the annual Militia Family Night. Nico arrived early to the stadium with nothing more than a plastic bag from the local Farm Fresh and a large folded-up table. He sat down his previously-unnoticed case of Busch Light and unfolded what turned out to be a discarded beer pong table. Yes, Nico was holding 'Beer Pong with the Pros' at family night, in what turned into an adult-only segment.

Little did the city of Montreal know, that much like his father, Nico had quite the knack for beer pong. Whether it was the first shot of the game or aiming for that final cup, he made effortless throws and forced the fathers & brothers of countless children delve into alcoholism & guilt.

After several victories, some of the local good ol' canadian boys took down the undefeated champion, earning themselves an autographed stick & a photograph from the new acquisition out of Sweden. It seemed as if the entire event was started to die down as teammates Radia, Valentine and LaRoache showed up, but they ended up getting thrown out of the venue for drunk & disorderly conduct. From eye witness accounts, they ended up spray painting "FUCK THE WHALERS" across several walls throughout the concourse.

<div align="center">The Colorado Mammoths annual Season Ticket holder event will be held in the super sexy Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado. We just want to show our appreciation to our loyal fans and we expect a big turn out. This year it is up to the rookies to set this appreciation extravaganza up. It will of course be free to enter and take part in the festivities. We have plenty of fun activities and things for our fans to partake in. As per usual, there will be a big meet and greet with several of the Mammoths’ players, including all the rookies and the team captains. They’ll be taking pictures and signing autographs. We’ll have a bunch of games and fun activities for kids to participate in such as a dunk tank featuring some of the rookies. The highlight of the event will be the slap shot challenge. There will be one for kids and adults. We will hold a raffle drawing and those who are drawn will get a chance to compete in the slap shot challenge. Whoever can get the most goals from center ice will win an opportunity to skate with the Colorado Mammoths in the near future during one of their practices. We are very excited to be hosting this event and hope all season ticket holders can make it out.</div>

The Montreal Militia decided to hearken back to the days of Montreal yore and for this year's season ticket holders, put on a two-day Winter Carnival in the spirit of the ones that used to take place in the city in the late 1880s. Back in the day, these events were six-day long exhibition-type events that tried to celebrate sports and wintertime attractions particular to the Montreal experience.

The Militia Winter Carnival, while much shorter, is still a family-oriented event that targets every member of the season ticket holder family, including kids and female fans. The first day is a series of You Can Play sponsored events, including drill practices like shooting pucks from the center line, floor hockey, hockey-specific skating tutorials, try a position for twenty minutes 5v5, featuring a first-come, first serve sign-up lines in block schedules that allow for people to rotate stations every 30 minutes. At the same time, winter-themed carnival games, food stalls, and signing events with rookies, coaches, veterans and alumni will all be featured, all free save for food and drink, which are pay as you go (with an all-you-can eat pass available for $40 CAD).

Day 2 of the carnival is an actual throwback to the "castle siege" event of Winter Carnivals past. A trip up to the top of Mont Royal (snow-shoes to be provided if weather demands) with the team starts at noon, and players will help season ticket holders build an "ice-block" castle in the courtyard of the Smith House Chalet (foam bricks to be provided in case weather is unseasonably warm). The end of the day will see the castle decorated with sparklers in the Militia maroon and silver, along with a bonfire to be lit in the center of the castle, coffee/cocoa/tea and marshmallows to be provided.

I don't have a SMJHL team yet so I used a pro team. Let me know if this works for the task.
