S42 Earlybird PT - IIHF Championships

Wait so he's born in Boston, but has declared for Canada? Yes this is indeed the case for the big strong-skating left winger. Born to a Canadian father, who played college hockey in Massachusetts and then never left, and an American mother, the choice was left up to Jack Kennedy at a young age. Growing up in the era of Canadian Olympic and WJHC dominance coupled with an intense admiration for his father's home country made Jack's choice an easy one, despite the intense competition he hoped to eventually face.
While at that young age, Jack may not have fully understood the gravity of his choice, as person and a player--he's never been one to shy away from competition. His road to international gold and glory may be tougher running through hockey Canada compared to its American counterpart, but once/if he is there, his chance at striking gold is the reward he hopes to reap.

St. Louis, Missouri native Cedric Robinson was a patriotic sports fan from the very start. “I was born during the Olympics. My mom says that’s why I love it so much,” Robinson opines with a laugh and a beaming smile. The World Cup, the Winter and Summer Games, and the IIHF sanctioned World Championships and World Juniors played on repeat in the Robinson home, and the United States always received the loudest praise. “We just wanted America to win, every year. It was like Christmas every time we took the gold.” With the SMJHL draft looming, Robinson can’t hide his excitement to play for his home country. “I want it.” Robinson keeps his cheer, but a subtle and stony determination is behind his words. “Obviously I’m cheering for the USA, playing the Stars and Stripes on repeat and wearing my red, white, and blue. But I can only watch for so long—I want to take home the gold. I want my photo op in the White House. I want a parade down the streets on Market with medals and trophies.” A sense of conceit hangs in the room, but it’s not all hardware for Robinson. “Being a hero for my city and my country,” he notes as he leaves, “it’s something I need to do.”

Hello! I am Wolfhard Richter and I come from a long line of German defenseman. My father, David, represented Germany in the WJC and my cousin, Ryan Richter, was also eligible for the German squad, but never made it. I hope to make the WJC team and really help out the German blue line. Eventually, I think I’ll be able to make the German IIHF squad and help out on their blue line as well. The Germans have a good history of really good defenseman and I hope that one day my name will be listed among them.

I haven’t received an invitation to the WJC team or to try out yet, but I look forward to getting in contact with the GMs of the team. I’ve heard lots of good things from my predecessors about the locker room of the German team and I really hope that some of my future SMJHL teammates will be fellow Germans!

Mother Russia, the blistering cold breathed life into the rinks. Many months out of the year an outdoor rink would be set up, and when they were down the indoor rinks are where we'd go. Everyone I knew played hockey, and everyone I knew struggled to keep up with me. I could outskate them, score more goals then them, and handle the puck much better than they could ever dream of. Not long before I catch the attention of some North American scouts who want me to come play in America. Big dream of mine, I could not say no. Dad very happy with decision, mother upset but she knows what is best. Soon I will be selected in the SMJHL Entry Draft and find a team to be a part of until the big leagues. I hope the Americans know what is coming to them, because I will not hold back.

Born is Arizona, raised in new Jersey, resides in Florida. David Fantobens is a true American. Whether its playing corn hole sipping on a Budweiser, or complaining about the governments world policies, but not going out and voting. No one bleeds the red white and blue like David Fantobens.

David fantobens set up security cameras in his house. Not to protect him self from home invaders, but to check up on himself to make sure he is always exercising his 2nd amendment rights.

David Fantobens has a Bernie Sanders bumper sticker on his diesel f150. Legend has it he can make a solar panel out of coal. He was also seen at bonaroo in a Paul Ryan t-shirt.

"Democratic socialism isnt the same as socialism" was his latest tweet. Hes so american, like so American. He got beat up in the street by a Canadian gang for screaming "learn American! Its called soccer!"

David fantobens hopes teams wont hold his arrest last year against him. He was held in a texas county jail for two weeks for helping illegal immigrants cross the broader and chaining himself to a tree to protest animal testing.

There is no truer American than david fantobens. When he gets the chance to represent his country in international play, there is no chance he will embarass the USA by getting lit on pabts blue ribbon, standing on a table and pulling his penis out. Again.

In closing, this country is better for having a son like david fantobens.

You cant spell united states of America without ted ate fame.

God bless david fantobens, and god bless america.

What can I say about the Czech Republic? What does it mean to me? My brother and I left the Czech Republic with our mother and father at the age of 10. We had been recruited fairly young to a Canadian youth development program. So at the young age of 10, my brother Kristof and I packed our bags and said goodbye to our friends and family. With the hopes that one day we would return with all the skills necessary to build our nation into the hockey powerhouse it so rightfully deserves to be. I think my brother and I followed a similar path many talented European players take, to go to Canada to get into a competitive hockey program. All with the hopes of getting drafted into Major Junior, The SMJHL and the final stepping stone to going pro, the SHL.

Like any Czech national, of course my brother and I cheer for the Czech Republic. We look forward to cheering on our brothers at the WJC and other fellow Eastern-Europeans under the USSR banner. Sadly my brother and I will not be playing for our WJC team this year. But mark my [our] words, we will be on that team next year and gold will be ours.  Don’t @ us.

I write this short passage for any who may be interested in myself, Oliver Kovacs, my brother and best friend Kristof Kovacs and any other SMJHL draft hopefuls! Tonight we embark on the next chapter of our lives! To all my friends and family thank you for all the help you have given us, the support and love you show lights a fire in our hearts that cannot be contained. We will make you all proud.
