TASK TWO: Who is your choice for the unsung hero of the S42 playoffs up to this point? Must be at least 150 words and include at least two statistics in support.
There has been a lot of talk around the top scorers of the Calgary Dragons who currently lead the scoring race heading into the finals. Many people say it is their cup to lose up to this point, but there is one person who stands in between them who has barely been noticed despite their stellar playoff performance this year. Who is that player? Mikke Laukkanen has been outstanding for the Wolf Pack leading in both GAA and SVP. His SVP is .935, compared to the Calgary goalie who has .922. Also his GAA is 2.12 compared to Calgarys 2.53. These are outstanding numbers to be posting, and the main reason New England has made it this far. Mikke Laukkanen is often forgot of because of his age, and the history of the Wolfpack having a dominant core during their playoff runs. Moving into the finals if Mikke Laukkanen is able to keep up his level of play without taking a drastic step back win or lose he will be the unsung hero for the Wolfpack. Code: 176 words TASK FOUR = PM'ED TASK SIX TASK SEVEN: The Calgary Dragons are often not known for the youth on their team, as their roster is often focused around the veterans. However, this season the youth movement played a huge role. This started with Hunter Jones who has registered 11 assists in 10 games so far while playing on the teams second line. Next up is Ostap Maksimov who has 8 assists in 10 games from the backend for the Dragons. The young defender has been playing on both special teams this season, and has added 4 powerplay assists so far during the post season. Then don't forget about the two pure rookies Shooter McGavin and Otis B. Driftwood who both have 4 points through the 10 games so far. This depth for the dragons will be important heading into the finals, as the vets need some young legs to play some big minutes. It'll be important that they can continue to contribute offensively, while playing a simple defensive game. Code: 161 Words TASK 9 = PM'ED |
