TASK FOUR: PMd
TASK NINE: PMd TASK ONE: (S24) LW - Patrikov Bure Patrikov Bure is a professional hockey player in the SHL. Born in Vancouver, Canada, but playing for the Russian National Team through family ties, Bure declared for the SMJHL Draft in S23, being drafted by his hometown SMJHL team, the Vancouver Whalers, at 25th overall. After his rookie SMJHL season, he was drafted by the Winnipeg at 24th overall and signed a 3-year deal with the team. After spending two more seasons in Juniors, winning the Four Star Cup once in two finals appearances, later to be named to the Whalers Hall of Fame in S35 after scoring 136 points in 140 games, Bure was called up to the SHL and signed a 1-year extension with Winnipeg. The following season he was traded to the New England Wolfpack, where he has played since S27, winning three Challenge Cups in five finals appearances. He currently sits only 4 points from being the Wolfpack's all-time leading scorer. TASK SIX: TASK SEVEN: For the Wolfpack, the best young performer was (S40) Manuel Gotze. In his first season of SHL action, he stepped into a much larger role than many would have expected, and in the playoffs he added some key goals for New England. In 18 games, he managed to find the net 6 times, which was good for 3rd best on the whole team. In the Finals, he managed a solid 2 goals and 1 assist in the 6 games, which more than good enough for such a young player. For the Dragons, it's a bit more difficult as they have several young players playing large roles, but I'd have to go with (S38) Hunter Jones. In the whole of the playoffs, he managed to be a point per game player and managed a .93 P/20. In the Finals, he managed a great 5 points in 6 games, including a 3 point game in the pivotal game 4 in New England to tie the series. |
