Media as a whole is so built into this community and the success of a player that i ask why their isnt an aknowledgement or accolade for a career of active and engaging media? Why are we not rewarding members who have gone above and beyond to create interesting articles that people log into read? This is not an unpresidented idea....MLB has a broadcasters wing of the hall of fame as an example. WWE is not a sport but they have a celebrity wing to there hall of fame.. Why not have a media wing in ours?

Thinking over some of the benefits... this would give a goal to those that create good media to continue on as their player gets older and they dont need the money any longer.. it would inspire members to come up with that creative new piece or that type of article which is not being written right now and it would set a presidence with the new members that writing media can be more then just adding money to your bank account.

I'd rather get some media going on the players who are already in the HOF than create an entirely new media section tbh.

Who would you even nominate to go into this section of the Hall of Fame?

I mean that would be for that committee to decide. new blood and new ideas should pave the way for new implementations on the site ... everything here can’t stay as is the site evolves..... the old school guys should give some new ideas a chance. I know I’m not the first person to think and talk about some type of award, accolade or more for the media here.

Gorlab used to do a Media Member of the Week. He would be grading, determine who was most creative or thought provoking or whatever with media. That person got like ~500k or 1M extra bonus for the week. That would be much more fitting than an entire wing of the HOF for something very inconsistent where most people won't recall older members either. It also then encourages more posting while not saying you have to be so good to be a hall of famer because even if you aren't great with it, you could earn it on creativity or fun for one week.

I like the sentiment behind it but I think as a whole it’s a bad idea. Maybe something else, but not the HOF

Maybe something along these lines and at some point down the road if some has an absurd amount of Media Member of the Week/Month, they might get inducted.

I mean, my focus was on creating media-like pieces to be saved in the HoF, but I also mentioned a media-specific portion as well.
