The Wolfpack are coming into S43 as the Eastern Conference Champs, the Challenge Cup runner ups; there is still a lot this team still wants to accomplish. Returning this season is the dangerous combo of Xander Green and Oisin Fletcher. This highly offensive center/winger combination led to Fletcher leading the SHL in scoring last season. This duo has improved in the off-season and should enter S43 stronger than the previous season. The defense corps got some added depth as veteran defender Jasper Clayton returned to New England to replace Cara Hohenberg. And finally, some of the aging, regressing, vets have been replaced with young, budding, rookies. Alex Andani, Kristaps Ball and Piotr Czerkawski make their SHL rookie season debuts. The all-rookie third line will be an experiment that could pay off down the road as these young guns continue to improve. These strengths the Wolfpack have could carry them back to the promise land, and possibly push them over the edge.

McLovin and the Anchorage Armada are finally getting ready to kickoff season fourty-three and this is a team with a lot of strengths. Coming off their first season in Anchorage, and their first playoff appearance following the dreaded season 40 performance, the worst season in league history.

First Strength: Management
@ml002 has the respect of the entire locker room and continues to build a good team, all while keeping his players happy. Everyone in that locker room wants to win for the Armada and it's not very common to find a player who's only in it for himself.

Second Strength: Leadership
Mclovin has been the captain since season 41, after he was drafted in the first round to Minnesota. He's been down in the SMJHL since then, but has won the locker room vote back to back campaigns and hopes to win it for a third. Not to mention there's a handful of players begging for the "C" on their sweater.

Third Strength: Active locker room
This is a very active locker room, and it seems that there is always a conversation going on in discord. This shows that there is a lot of active players constantly updating their players which gives Anchorage an advantage over teams with a lot more inactives.

1. The St. Louis Scarecrows are going to look scary next year. Last season we were filled with rookies. Now we're filled with maxed send-downs to fill out the top half of our roster. Returning players like Nicholas Williams, Kiko Rytmeyr, and Adam Taylor are going to lead the charge next season with their maxed SMJHL builds.

2. The Scarecrows had plenty of draft picks tonight that should add some motivated young guns to the team. There are quite a few recreates, which will not only add guaranteed activity, but will add a deeper sense of leadership within the young locker room. Some specific names (not specifically recreates) to look out for are: Bernard Freeman, Antonio Calculon and Jerry Larry.

3. The locker room is buzzing. It seems like every day it gets more active. This thing is going off all hours of the day, every day of the week. The Crows are a tight knit group, and that looks to be a major strength heading into season 43. After a disappointing finish to the season, we're looking to bounce back with new skills, and a new sense of camaraderie.

Ah yes three strengths of the San Francisco Pride that is going to be an extremely easy thing to write about because the only difficult aspect would be to narrow it down from the thousands of strengths to choose only three which now that I think about it really is going to be a difficult thing but here I go anyway so the first strength of the San Francisco Pride is that our team is literally devoid of talent and not a single other team has as good of a chance to win the first overall pick as we do so that's pretty fucking sweet and then hmm our second strength is probably that every player whose rights we own is in the minors because that means that we'll accidentally win fewer games since we have only scrubbos on the main roster and third wow I can only pick one more strength I'm really feeling the pressure here but I've got to go with grapehead being the third strength since he's the certified tank commander after he guided us to having 3 of the top 5 picks in the previous draft so that experience navigating the tank will be invaluable for us in the coming season.

The St. Louis Scarecrows are primed to have a big bounce back season this year. The rookies from last year have continued to get better and look to strengthen the core of the team for as long as their SHL teams allow them to stay with the Crows. Players like Nicholas Williams, Adam Taylor, Lil Manius, and Nicky Pedersen Jr will be leading this team back to the playoffs and a potential deep championship run.

The newest additions to St. Louis coming from the draft are all looking to be great picks, and will make the depth of St. Louis very tough to deal with as long as they show the same determination as most of last year's draftees. Bernard Freeman, Antonio Calculon, Jerry Larry, Airi Yamaguchi, Roger Baston, and Brock Nuck are all welcomed additions in the St. Louis locker room and make the future of the team really bright.

Speaking of the locker room, St. Louis has one of the best in the entire SMJHL. Regardless of wins or losses, the Scarecrow locker room always stays positive and committed to getting better through everything. Missing the playoffs because of a tie breaker was tough, but it has made the returning Scarecrows more focused than ever to get the team back where they belong.

The Manhattan Rage come off of another season in their rebuild process, though it would appear they will make great headway this season in their quest to first return to playoffs in their steps to recapture the Challenge Cup. Though they finished with the most probable chance to win the draft lottery, things are still looking up for a #bullmarket in the Big Apple. Here's why:

1) Solid young players

With an active and developing young lineup consisting of Yannick Berger, James Dekens, Reginald Rove and Reginald MacIntyre, a club that can keep them all active and happy could see the start of a dynasty. Though inexperienced by comparison to their on-ice rivals, their commitment is helping to lay the foundation for quite some time to come. Things look quite promising in the future as well, with the current prospect list spanning Maui, David Kastrba, Sachimo Zoidberg Jr., recently-named co-GM Tokek Takshak, Sulak O'Hritea, Jax Aittokallio, Tobias Viklund, Jake Reid, the brothers Kovac, Alex Winters and Craig Finley.

2) A motivating LR

JayWhy has been good inside the LR about keeping the team motivated, interested and bonded. He has been great about advising and keeping tabs on builds and directing where he would like to see his developing youngsters by each season's end. He and the active core know it will take a few seasons, and his input, interest and activity has helped keep the club together for when all the build-up will pay off. The players have responded in turn by setting up its own happening little slice of New York City and helping run the show from within, as shown with recent draftee Takshak being promoted to co-GM.

3) Drafts, Drafts, Drafts

The rebuilding process has utilized the draft quite often, and though just about anyone can make a slam-dunk with an early pick, JayWhy has been all about wheeling and dealing for prime picks. He has involved us on the drafting process by airing his thoughts on who to take, what trades to offer, what trades to accept when offered and how he sees things. He has had a lot of practice and study knowing the values of these picks, how to package them on the block and, as he shared in the most recent draft, how to get the draft picks and the player he wanted in an agreeable trade. Everyone in the prospect list from Sulak O'Hritea onward was picked up in the Season 43 draft, one Jay set up for in advance with dealing in past drafts and even trading picks after the fact, with the Luke Atmey trade to Buffalo announcing the official kickoff of the Rage rebuild. He sets the stage in advance for something like this, and if even half of those players turn out to be superstars in the making, the Rage dynasty is on the horizon.

The Raptors are looking very strong this season. With a forward group that looks elite, elite defensemen on multiple pairs, and a legitimate threat for top goalie in the league in net, we’re feeling great about our chances for the season ahead. We made a trade for Kevin Maddox and Michael O’Dowd, two players with championship pedigree and elite talent. We drafted an extremely talented rookie in Jean-Pierre Gay. We’re in a great spot for the upcoming season, and our goal is to take home the Four Star Cup. We hit the first step of making the playoffs last season, hopefully our new management and key players can step up and get us to that next level this season. Losing Troy McClure III to the SHL is going to make things tougher, but I believe in the group we have and the guys in the locker room. We all have the same goal, we’re playing for the guys around us, and I think we have the team that is going to be the last ones celebrating when the season ends. Let’s Go Raptors! #DinoThunder

The Buffalo Stampede drafted very clever in that S43 SHL Rookie Draft. With Hippo Passamus and Bust the Team got two forwards for the future and that is also the lack of the team. Eduard Selich announced that he will retire after this season and got be traded to the West Conference. So adding an Powerforward and Two Way Forward was golden for the team. Buffalo also has Flacko Lagerfield who could play SHL for his first time in his career. It looks like that he will fill the open spot what Buffalo has after the Selich-Trade. The Stampede also traded Brynar Tusk for Tollefsen away. It looks like that he will be the 7th Defender for this season. For the Offense Cash Savage is also available and better. The Buffalo Stampede has a very good deep chart this season and also an Star Goalie with Jordin FourFour Jr. and this could make the difference this season. In the East you has also the Hamilton Steelhawks but the goalie isnt ready so far for the big ones. Minnesota Chiefs are competive but dont have the deep chart. Just a huge performance of one player could help them against Buffalo. Then we have the West Kendall Platoon. I see here the most competive opponent for the Buffalo Stampede this season. Great Goalie and great team. New England Wolfpack and Toronto North Stars must fight very hard for an Playoff Spot and for the Manhattan Rage it is too early for moving forward.

The Hamilton Steelhawks, despite their large downgrade at goalie, are still an incredibly strong team with multiple strengths at key spots. First of all, their center depth is literally unmatched. Sporting 3 centers over 1150 TPE, it is really hard to find yourself a trio that could even touch the ability they bring the table. First off, Phelps is going to be a top 10 player in the league sooner than later, and Konig is on his way there. While Singh still hasn't managed to get himself a top 6 spot despite being a top 6 level player for most teams, he still brings a valuable role to the Steelhawks as an energy PK player who can be relied on as a strong scorer when needed. After that, the wingers in the top 6 are elite. Abes, Odjick, Harrak and Skillstedt all bring a very valuable presence to their teams, with 3 of these players managing near 40 points and Skillstedt, the youngest, still managing a very decent 32. Finally, the prospects on this team are ridiculous. How the Steelhawks have been good for this long but still have Skalbergs, Vaskov, Tig, PLD and Martin in the pipeline is absolutely insane. Credit to @"ThatDamnMcJesus" for fantastic asset management.

We're coming out this season with the most awesome of off seasons seen to this date.

This came as surprise to many of us rookies who only got to play under Wozy for a short season, never the less

aters is definitely up for the task and got everyone rallied behind him.
New Co-GM is non other then jss and former Falcon Flacko Lagerfield, having played under Wozy/

aters combo his entire junior career there's no better choice for a Co.
This new leadership is sure to make the Falcons a top contender with their superior drafting and coaching skills!

Falcons veterans this season is gearing up and is ready to tear up the league. Sporting the number one rookie goalie and defenseman in Cedric Robinsson and Tig Murphy they are only missing the same caliber up front. Which they now have, Hippo Passamus made a huge retool of himself and is now more focused on the North American hockey style.
Gunning from the rear and hiding in the shadows the Falcons sports players who with a little bit more edge will become top players in the league. Tobias Viklund, David Fantobens and Dank Boija is players to keep an eye on.

S43 draft can easily be summarized and a straight up robbery.
Chuck Crutchfield and Poopity Scoop were added to the blue line sure to make big impact plays right from the get go.
Tripple Swedish threat Waffles Man, Ola Wagstrom and Tomas Youngholm added upfront will be sure to have impact this season as well as the next one, who knows what this all Swedish line will do under the guidence of the Falcon veterans.

The future is bright for the Falcons and they are poised to be a real contender for the cup the upcoming seasons

1. Young Talent

Texas is currently stacked with young talent from top to bottom. We have some of the league's most impressive young players in the likes of Iam Essellemm, Walter Hobbs, Harvey Danger, Paddy O'Sullivan, Noah Konn and Daniel Karlsson among others, and with a prospect pool that features a whole depth of talent in Kiko Rytmeyr, Kevin Kazarian and Vladislav Konstantin things really are looking good for the Renegades when it comes to long term development.

2. Prime Players and Veteran Leadership

In the likes of Colton Hagan, Thé Dude, Vasily Horvat, Brynjar Tusk and Conklin Owen, we have guys who are still very much playing their best hockey and have a lot of good years ahead of them. We also have future Hall of Fame players in the shape of Jack Durden and Theo Kane, who are able to give a great deal to such a young and developing squad, it really is a great balance.

3. Team Culture

It's safe to say there's a lot of people who don't like us, but the team is incredibly close and the locker room culture and environment we've built is incredibly fun and enjoyable. We all have a great time and everyone enjoys being a part of the team, it's really something I wouldn't change at all.
