That's not what all the people burning their--already purchased--Nike gear are protesting, though. If they had a problem with Nike's business practices, they should never have purchased Nike products to begin with. I'm not denying that there are worthy reasons to boycott Nike ; however, applying those reasons--post facto--to the context of Kaepernick's
situation is a disingenuous straw man. If you were boycotting Nike before this ad campaign: all the power to ya. If this "Believe in something. Even if it means sacrificing everything" campaign is your bridge too far: take a look in the mirror.

If you've bought a product with your hard earned money and you're now burning it to make a point. I don't see anybody losing in that equation but yourself, you've just burned your own money.

Anybody who thinks that this campaign is anything other than a way to get more people to buy their stuff is naive. The best way to sell something is to pretend you care about a situation.
