The Overtime goal by…

Ahh

No one?

This can only mean one thing.

SHOOTOUT!!
In the shootout teams take turns going one on one with the opposing goalie.
If the first team to score gets a goal then the next team still gets a chance to go.
However, if the second team scores then they win.
Must go a minimum of 2 rounds.
Lets see how the shootout went!

First up is Doug Dimmadome for the Anchorage Armada. He goes left and beats Robinson glove side. Risky move paid off because it is a goal!

Up for the Detroit Falcons is Ola Wagstrom. Also going glove side, aiming for that top shelf and the goal is stopped by Hank Scorpio.

The Armada send out their veteran center, Xena, to win the game. Can she do it? She starts to go left and at the last moment swing back center and slides it five hole. Amazing goal by Xena! @Nickleback_lover69

Next up is David Fantobens for the Detroit Falcons, will he get Detroit on the board? He picks of speed rapidly and shoots a killer wrister just wide of the net.

And with that the Anchorage Armada wins!
*There were no penalties taken in the shootout

Goalie Stats:
Both goalies played 65 minute games!

Armada For Anchorage: Hank Scorpio
28 saves from 32 shots
 87.5% Save Percentage
Falcons For Detroit: Cedric Robinson

86.7% Save Percentage

My 3 Stars of the game:

Dominos Play of the Game

Tonight's game between the Anchorage Armada and Detroit Falcons was an absolute scorcher. Both teams traded scoring chances throughout the night and both teams each scored three unanswered goals in a row. Although the Detroit Falcons had the momentum in the third period after scoring three goals in a row, a massive goal was scored for the Anchorage Armada with less than 5 minutes left in the third. Elias Armia Jr. put the puck in the back of the net after Armia Jr. intercepted a pass from Pingy Pingu and set up a quick play in the offensive zone. This is how the Armada made it to overtime and ultimately a shootout with the Falcons, and that's why this is our Dominos play of the game tonight.

Stonewall Auto's Defender of the Game

Here at Stonewall Auto in St. Louis, we believe in keeping you safe, that's why we're proud to present to you the Defender who kept their Goalie as safe as possible. Tonight we're taking a look outside of our regular Scarecrows programming for a match up between the Anchorage Armada and Detroit Falcons.

Tonight's Defender of the Game had a marathon at 24:36 TOI but put up 6 total Hits (3) + Shots Blocked (3). No doubt Leopold Lockhart had a tough game with a -1 rating even given his assist. Lockhart's hits were mostly productive with a 2/3 success ratio on stripping the puck, although there was a lack of follow up on the first hit which failed to prevent the Falcons' opening score. The support wasn't there on the blocked shots either, because all three were ultimately retrieved by Detroit. It should be noted that the two iron man Defenders on the top line are still rookies, so while the victory wasn't a clean one, it will only get better from here.

Tomen's goalie of the game:

Hank Scorpio: Why? On the surface this might seem like a fairly close goalie battle but once you look past just save percentage you realize that Scorpio definitely deserves the win in this one. He and Robinson were always close but in the end Scorpio was always just a tad better. It starts with the save percentage at 87.5% compared to 86.67%. You see it again in the Good save % which is at 71.43% for Scorpio and at 65.38% for Robinson. Scorpio also had the better Bad Rebound % with just 75% in comparison to Robinson's 88.89%. But the biggest difference is seen in the Shootout saves. Robinson wasn't able to save a single shot while Scorpio stopped 100% of the shots he faced.
