Ryan Jesster Award - The case for Rafe Ulrich
#1

Hi there this is your friendly neighbourhood bird presenting you the case for why you should consider voting on Rafe Ulrich for the Ryan Jesster award.

Ulrich was drafted first overall in the season 42 draft by the New England Wolfpack and in S45 finally played his first season for the pack. In a season that saw the Wolfpack miss the playoffs by 10 points due to a tragic dropoff towards the end of the season, we saw Rafe Ulrich have a solid rookie season. Ulrich spent the season bouncing between the first, second and third lines of the 5 on 5 and saw him be a powerplay regular.

All in all Rafe Ulrich played a total of 848 minutes on the ice for the wolfpack, scoring a total of 16 goals and collected 15 assists. Good for a total of 31 points in his rookie season. Rafe brought a huge physical presence to the ice and recorded 135 hits good for about 2.7 hits per game. Rafe was also huge for the wolfpack in ways of winning games. New England were able to win 20 games this season in which Ulrich scored the game winning goal 4 times, so in 20% of the the wolfpack wins it was due to Ulrichs stick.

Some of the stats Ulrich finished top 3 in:

Goals:
1. Rafe Ulrich - 16
2. Jax Aittokalli - 15
3. Leshaun King - 13

Total Points:
1. Leshaun King - 35
2. Jax Aittokalli - 33
3. Rafe Ulrich - 31

Hits:
1. Rafe Ulrich - 135
2. Muhammad McLovin - 118
3. Lil Manius - 97

Points/20:
1. Rafe Ulrich - 0.73
2. Jax Aittokallio - 0.68
3. Leshaun King - 0.67

Game Winning Goals:
T1. Rafe Ulrich - 4
T1. Sulak O'Hritea - 4
T3. Multiple Players - 3

So to conclude, while Ulrich did not finish first in the rookie race he was only 4 points behind, playing about 4 minutes less on average per game than Leshuan King and due to this finished with the best P/20 of all the rookies. I hope this will be enough to see him atleast get a few of the votes from the people. Remember that if you do not vote for Ulrich he will find you and will body check the heck outta ya.

Great rookie season for sure! Good job! Definitely a strong case to win it, you got better as the season went on while the others at the top faltered near the end, so good luck!

That's something I noticed aswell. Regardless of a award or not, I can be happy with how the season went.

Goku also had a solid rookie season so congrats with that too!
