Holiday PT - Seasons Greetings!
#46

During the holidays, Dick makes his way back to Vancouver to spend time with his family. The usual traditions consist of playing both NHL '94 on the Super NES as well as the latest version currently out. Coupled with that, the family always enjoys a large meal consisting of foods with both Western and Indian influences with many options for everyone to share. Dick comes from a culture where family is of extreme importance and so during the holidays the house consists of way more people than there are rooms to sleep in. Christmas is an important time for Dick as it is one of the few times where he is able to see many of his extended family members.

Christmas in Korea for the Smebs has always been about spending time as a family. Life was always hard growing up since their biological father Chico Salmon abandoned them in Korea after a one-night stand with their Smeb mother. Christmas was always a time for the Smebs to get together and enjoy family. The Smebs have fun games they like to play around Christmas like stuffing brother in a box day. Christmas is generally the time of year that the family grows since Chico Salmon sends his unwanted children to live with them, just last year they added Steve Craig-Smeb to the family who quickly became a star hockey player and was drafted by the Colorado Raptors. On Christmas day they open the presents that father Chico sends, usually the "presents" are another Smeb stuffed in a box sent from wherever Chico is enjoying his retirement. For Christmas Dinner the family enjoys traditional Korean food including Bulgogi, Tteokbokki, grilled Smeb, Galbi, Sangchae and of course Soju.

Christmas is always a fun time for the Smebs.

The holidays is a special time in the Kennedy family, typically everyone is gone away far from each other all leading their seperate lives, but Christmas time is different. It's the one time of the year that the whole family joins back together in their home country of Austria. Stories are told, food is eaten, presents are exchanged and many drinks are had. As people say, it is really the most wonderful time of the year for a family man like Kennedy Jr. Growing up playing high level hockey his whole life, this was always his favorite time as he got to see all his family members that aren't always around as he pursued his dream of playing in the SHL.

Mike McKorsy went home to Kassel Germany for the XMAS Break. At the eve before Xmas his old teammates from the Kassel Huskies had a game against their biggest rivals from Frankfurt. Mike McKorsy was their to hold the locker room speech. It must have been very effective, because the DEL 2 Team gets a 3-1 Victory on Opponents ice. After the game the whole team went to diner. To honour Mikes North America Stint they served Burger and Fries all they can eat.

The next days Mike McKorsy will belong the family. With historical Diner (Kartoffelsalat and Bockwurst) and many presents it will be as harmonic as it can be.

Chico Smeb always goes back to South Korea during the holiday break. Him and his Korean girlfriend Eunjin, fly into Seoul where they meet with the Smeb's. Christmas isn't too important in Korea, so they usually just get drunk off Soju, and go sing in Korean Karaoke bars. After singing songs such as Bbibbi (IU) , Travel (Bol4), and some other KPOP songs, the family checks out some traditional Korean markets, where they eat delicious Korean food (Kimbap, Hoettoek, etc.) . Finally, they finish off the night by watching a Christmas movie at the cinema. Nothing special, but that's a typical Christmas for Chico Smeb.

Words : 103

As in the norm in the Stevens household for the holidays Cas was back on the family yacht sailing to Tahiti. The Stevens family finally got their big payday when some investments paid off, so they were finally able to buy the mango farm they always wanted in Tahiti.

The family hires all the strippers that can be found and sings Christmas jingles together while doing some family lines and shots together. Little baby jesus would be very proud to see what has become of this great day! After going fishing with dynamite, as is tradition, the family likes to relax with some eggnog and present opening, with a vigil mass on Christmas eve.

Typical holidays are amazing. I get to spend a lot of time with family, which doesn't happen a lot when you're a traveling hockey player. I really try to enjoy the moment. My family goes way overboard with gifts, so it's great to see all the things that I get, especially because it shows that they're listening. It's great to be able to afford gifts for them now that I'm in the minors, and it's great to see them get what they want. I could even afford to get my parents a new 3 car garage so they have a lot more room. It's amazing.

In the Saxon capital of Dresden, Christmas has a number of traditions that take place.  For one, it was the birthplace of the Strietzlmarkt, or Christmas Market. Rudy Mentz can remember his parents buying him an Eisbären Berlin mini stick in his youth, which opened the doors to his hockey career.

Although Rudy moved to Edmonton in his early teenage years to play junior hockey, he travelled back to Dresden along with his billet family, also of German descent, to spend time with his family and visit the famous Christmas Market once again. This year, with his $3m salary, he purchased a professionally decorated tree, clad in the old style with tin strands and candles. Unfortunately, while working on his stickhandling in the living room, he fired a rolled up sock at the tree, which then tipped over a candle and caused the whole tree to flash over in a matter of seconds. Nobody was injured, but the mess was quite large and involved all family members pitching in to scrub the char from the walls and ceiling. All was quickly forgotten after everyone had a piece of Stollen cake, which was absolutely loaded to the brim with brandy.

Christmas isn't huge in Korea but for those that it is it can be quite the wild occasion. The Smebs usually get together for Christmas in Korea and partake in a wild array of events that can range from parties and karaoke to just going out to eat and watching some movies or playing games. This year however is a bit different for Daniel Smeb as he'll be spending his first Christmas away from Korea staying in Colorado where he was recently drafted. He's still getting to know the city but perhaps he can find and get up to some things just as wild as he usually does in Korea.

For Nikolai Evans, there are no holidays. Days where other players are taking time with family and stuffing their faces with food are opportunities to gain an edge against them. To Nikolai, these days are just extra practice days – usually even more productive than usual, without the clutter of other people on the ice or in the weight room. He might squeeze in a little bit of film study while he’s at the practice facility, but he mostly takes advantage of the clean sheet of ice to work on his cardio. Some call it insanity, others call it passion. He calls it whatever it takes.

Christmas is not really a special holiday for Eva. The only real paro got about Christmas that she likes is that there is a chance to spend the time with your loved ones - nobody has to go to work or school, everyone gets together and spends a little while together just to get pushed into their daily routines once again a few days later.
Eva spends her hollidays back home in Latvia with ther brothers, sister, granny and mother. The favourite part of the whole holliday for the past few years has been the part where she can just freely sleep whenever she likes to and go on long walks in the forest or near the river Daugava which is pretty close to her family home. All in all Christmas time for Eva is a time of peace and relaxation from everything and everyone she needs to meet on a daily basis.

During the holidays, Lunga Gumba takes a break from hockey to go back to the Land of Gumba. In the Land of Gumba, we have a huge christmas festival where there is lots of decorations, games and celebrations. on Christmas eve, there is a big dance in which all the Gumbas get together to do "the fish". It's a great time. There are also games such as: "Throw the salmon" and "Tease the Orca". Lunga Gumba also spends time with his Gumba family in which they open presents, spend time together, and have a big family fish roast for dinner. It's a Gumba time here in the Land of Gumba over the holidays.

"Bring back Pingy Pingu Lunga Gumba esq. And I mean bring him all the way back. I want every thread on this forum that involves even a modicum of salt to get razed to the ground by our most notorious shitposting penguin. I want every thunderdome to drown in ABAGABA spam and a signature that doesn't end. I want the userbase of this fine league to cower in terror, slinking about the forums and making as little noise as possible for fear of attracting the Shitpost Slenderman. When some poor immigrant from the NFL sim blunders into the forum and makes an angry post about how his player slipped to the early second round despite having done ALL the rookie tasks(!), let the veteran survivalists stare in horror and pity while the newbie rages. They will know it is only a matter of time before @Pingy Pingu descends upon his post like a ravening wolf and obliterates his tread, reducing it to a radioactive waste-dump of unintelligible spam. They will not interfere, for Pingy is our immune system. Because he can take it. Our Dark Knight of Shitposting"

Donny enjoys spending the holidays with family and friends in Edmonton, Alberta. The one thing Donny does not like is the gift-giving tradition of the holidays. Over the holiday break, Donny and his friends would have a chel tournament with Donny being a heavy favourite to win. Unfortunately for Donny, he always winds up being upset and has never won the tournament yet. This will be Donny's first holiday season away from home and in Lethbridge, Alberta. It will be interesting for Donny to adapt as Lethbridge is unknown to him but he is thankful to be spending time with his new teammates!

Peter is heading back to Denmark for a whistle blowing quick trip, taking advantage of the newly created Icelandic air route to anchorage (even though it means doing that tedious Reykjavik stop over). He announced that he would be spending a fairly traditional time with his family and close friends. Danish celebrations of Christmas typically occupy the 24th, Juleaften, and the 23rd, lili-juleaften. Peter is looking forward to spending Juleaften with his parents and siblings, shopping for and exchanging presents then eating their favourite roast pork for dinner. However for lili-juleaften he is excited to go see his mormor (grandmother on his mother's side) in the little town of Kerteminde.

Asked on his return to anchorage, about his mormor's recent move to Odense, and who was the burnnet he was instangramed with on lili-juleaften, Peter turned bright red and made his excuses of the media, followed by Peter's management team and various members of the media bursting out into various levels of laughter.
