S45 SMJHL PT # 4 - OT6
#61

C-Nickolas Klaus(KEL)
The highest scoring player this season in the SMJHL and the best center to play for the stacked Kelowna team. The choice was easy on this one.

LW- Nolan Sawchuk   (KEL)
2nd in total points in the league and already has great chemistry with Klaus. Why split them up when they can continue to reek havoc together, creating one dangerous line.
RW- Jack Kennedy(VAN)
3rd in total points, and top player for the Vancouver Whalers throwing Jack Kennedy on a line with Klaus and Sawchuk is a no brainer in creating a super team.

LD-Sanyi Kocsis (KEL)
Highest points by a defender , and easily the best choice at defense here. If you hadn't noticed already the more points the better in this case.

RD-Tauras Karazija (VAN)
Finally, the 2nd highest points defender will be flipped to the right side to create a dynamic duo between him and Koscis.
G- Patrice Nadeau
Finally myself! I can contribute tot the point totals as well!

Kalvins Zvejnieks,  Falcons  - Arsene Arsenich,  Lions - Eva Lykke Aparjode  Lions

Dinars Briedis,  Lions - Helmuts Akmenlauks,  Scarecrows

Yuri Ushakov,  Raptors

When looking at the future of Latvia, things seem bright for the small Baltic nation. Despite usually having a smaller pool of players to make a team from, the last couple of draft years have shown real promise for the upcoming crop of nationals.

First up is Kalvins Zvejnieks (me), who joins a strong group of young Latvian centers like Kristers Dzelme and Andris Dzerins. It looks like Latvia is going to be deep down the middle, and the only reason those two aren't on this lineup is because I wanted to be positionally accurate for a starting lineup, and highlight Latvia's upcoming talent on the wings as well.

On right wing is Lethbridge's Arsene Arsenich, a S45 SHL draftee who is a responsible two-way forward and an excellent threat on both ends of the ice. Skilled in all offensive talents, Arsene racks up the points while being an excellent defensive strength. He was a pick for the Lion's expansion draft, who was targeted for being one of the best players available to them.

Left wing contains Eva Lykke Aparjode, who like Zvejnieks is a S46 prospect eligible for this upcoming SHL draft. A smooth skating offensive forward with an excellent shot and who is also responsible in their own end. Lethbridge drafted Aparjode with their first-ever pick, and plan on building around them for the long-term of the new franchise.

Defense is an area where there are fewer Latvians playing the position, however a couple of younger players make this list still.

Lethbridge like their Latvians, eh? The third lion on this list, Dinars Briedis hasn't developed as well as he might have for a S44 SHL draftee, but still provides stability to the expansion franchise's back line.

Helmuts Akmenlauks is a near-capped defenseman on the Scarecrow's back end, and is an excellent two-way defenseman. Great in his own end and protecting the puck, the S43 SHL draftee is also skilled at the first pass and quarterbacking a powerplay.

Finally in net, is S46 eligible prospect Yuri Ushakov, current starting netminder for the Colorado raptors. Winning his way into the starter's job, he had a rougher season but performed excellently with a Raptors squad finally feeling the loss of their previous talent that was sold off before their miracle run to the Four-Star Cup Finals last season.

With most of these players progressing well, and three S46 prospects looking to go in the early rounds, the future of Latvia looks bright

RW - Jack Kennedy Whalers - We start out with Jack Kennedy of the Vancouver Whalers at right wing. Why did I pick him? His last name was reason enough for me, but on top of that he had a hell of a season. 26 goals and 34 assists led his team in points and was good enough for 3rd league wide.

C - Raino Kyllonen Falcons - At centre we have Kyllonen from Detroit. 11 goals and 21 assists while playing on the 3rd line was an impressive feat for the rookie. 12 PIM shows just how disciplined he can be too.

LW - Willy Mack Militia - Left wing brings us to Willy Mack, 25 goals and 21 assists is a very nice stat line, but on top of that he only received 2 PIM the whole season. What an amazing feat.

D - Stolp Skottson Falcons - 37 points is nothing to be ashamed of at all in the SMJHL, let alone when its from a defenseman. Skottson was able to do it all, score, pass and hit, but what really stands out is his 4 PIM on the season.

G - Casimir Stevens Whalers - In nets we have the rookie from Vancouver, Casimir. 23 wins out of 42 games played is a great ear for a rookie goalie, the real reason he's here though is to bring some much needed grit to the rest of this squeaky clean team.

LW - Bust                           C - Donnie Dicks                          RW - Dick Clapper

                 D - Johnny Sins                              D - Jean-Pierre Gay

                                             G - Mike Hunt

My lineup includes some of the most sexual sounding names in the SMJHL. Starting off, I kept myself at RW because thats where I have spent my entire season even though I am actually LW. With a first name like Dick, you know where my intentions lie, sex is always on my mind. On LW we have Bust, whose name is so close to bustY, not quite there but it's close enough for me to include them in this lineup. The centre of this line is none other than Donnie Dicks, arguably better than Dick Clapper because their name includes a plural of dicks rather than just one. On D we have Johnny Sins, a legendary porn star who threatened to fuck us all if we failed the No Nut November challenge. His D partner is Jean-Pierre Gay, who I assume is french and therefore a great lover, but we all know I included them just because their last name is Gay. Finally, keeping the pucks out of net is Anaheim goalie Mike Hunt who is included because their name sounds like "my cunt" when said aloud. This is a real championship winning line even though I don't know anyone's actual stats besides my own.

Nikolai Evans is, of course, the best. If he’s putting together a team around him, he demands the best. Well, not the best, because he is the best. But the best of the rest. So Nikolai would put together a team with the other top draftees from the S45 SMJHL Draft

C – Olivier Cloutier, Armada - The third overall pick, Cloutier managed only 13 points, probably not the season Olivier hoped for. Still, Nikolai sees a lot of potential and Cloutier and knows the demands of the center position (begrudgingly) from watching his father play it.

W – Jimmy Slothface, raiders - Because every team needs a guy with a stupid name. Zach Evans won Challenge Cups with Cash Money, Crossfit Jesus and Spitfire. Welcome to the club, Jimmy.

W – Tyler Tougard, Scarecrows - Tougard just missed out on a 30-point season as a rookie, particularly impressive for a guy who was on the third line in St. Louis. Nikolai and Tyler would definitely hook up on the power play.

D – Nikolai Evans, the Russian Prince himself.

D – Karlstraße Scholz, Knights - Putting the top two picks on the same defensive pair. Who doesn’t want to see that? While both Nikolai and Karlstraße come from strong hockey lineages, Nikolai’s old man didn’t have too many interactions with Nickolaus Scholz. There may not be a ton of familiarity, but there’d definitely be mutual respect from Nikolai.

G – Peter Larson, Armada - I’ll be honest, I couldn’t be assed to figure out which rookie goalie was the second goalie taken in the draft, because the first was taken by Montreal (Hi, Wally). So the guy with the best save percentage gets the gig. Don’t fuck up, Peter, or Nikolai will give you the biggest stink eye. He won’t actually fight you. But he’ll judge you so hard.

It's time to dream of what could've been

Lw: Kit Smeb    C:Daniel Smeb    Rw: Parker Smeb

              LD:Chico Smeb         RD: Johnny Sins

                               G:Mike Hunt-Smeb

LOOK AT THIS!!!! The meme team dream team. There was once a promise in a rookie discord that I would change my name if @kit and I ended up on the same team that I would fill the goalie smeb role. However due to unfortunate scouting kit and i ended up very far away from eachother. kit was the most active i got to see in the locker room but these boys would get along like a real family. Hitting bars for all the smebs to get drunk in every city and Johnny to hit on the chicks while we all sing songs and pre drink for our next game. this unstoppable tide of smebs  would simply overwhelm any team. The pure almost telepathic synergy of such a tight nit team outmaneuvering and intimidating teams from even taking a shot. might as well have myself jump out and start taking shots on their net. Then just when you think you've got us down you realize you forgot one thing we've got the man with all the flair the true star of the show Johnny. Now your sitting there lining up for the face off on home ice and you realize just then that all the ladies of your city are cheering for Johnny alone. You're moral is finally crushed by this absolute UNIT of a team. I rest my case.

LW-Nolan Sawchuk: Nolan Sawchuk has been nothing short of incredible this last season, leading the league n goals and scoring 62 points. Not only would this player be a great mentor to young Cannellini, but the amount of goals that would be scored with him as Cannellini's winger would be off the charts.

RW-Willy Mack: His 25 goals was third in the league. Not a lot of assists but Cannellini can help him out with that.

D-Leopold Lockhart: 16 goals. That is the kind of goal-scoring you cannot put a price on. Easy pick.

D-Helmuts Akmenlauks: Akmenlauks has been one of the best defenders in the SMJHL lately, and his 10 goals was among the best the back-end had to offer. His booming shots from the point would make everyone afraid and give more time and space.

G-Mike Hunt: There is no specific reason why I want him as my goaltender. I just like the name a lot. Is that so bad? Not like any of the goaltenders in this league are above and beyond the others.

Alonzo Garbanzo Final Tallies (Among Defensemen):
2nd in Goals (208), All-Time Assists Leader (765)*, All-Time Points Leader (973), 3rd in Hits (2587), All-Time Blocked Shots Leader (1882)*
*All-Time Leader Among All Skaters

Left Wing: Valeri Tihkonov

Center: Myself (Aleksandr Scherbak)

Right Wing: Jerry Mander

Left Defence: Nikolai Evans

Right Defence: Anastasia O’Koivu

Goalie: Aleksi O’Koivu-Volkova

This all-Russian lineup has it all. From snipers like Tihkonov and Scherbak to bruising power forwards like Mander, this forward line can fuck you up physically and mentally by filling the net and also filling your mouth with blood. On defence, Evans and O’Koivu team up to break your hearts and ankles, as two bonafide Russian pedigree players, children of Russian legends Zach Evans, Ekaterina Rudnikova and Pietra Volkova have come storming onto the scene. Last but not least, we have rookie goaltender O’Koivu-Volkova, twin brother of Anastasia O’Koivu and son of lengendary goaltender Olli O’Koivu.

It’s a line up full of promise, potential, and most importantly, prowess. We can hit, we can score, we can poke check, we can save. Watch out world. Mother Russia has come to play.

RW Ashburn McAllister  Armada

C Liam Hutchinson (me) Knights

LW Andreas Kvalheim Militia

D Pieerre Laroche - Durocher  Falcons

D Andrej Doskocil  raiders

G - Aleister Cain Scarecrows

This line up comprises of high checkers. We would all get along because we would enjoy making the other players hate playing against this line.We would try and get some scoring going, and we might just beable to pot a few goals but we would mainly be focused on checking. We also have a mix of nationalities so that would be a fun time learning everybodys different background. This line wont be a flashy one, but the intangible level is through the roof. If they dont get along, maybe there could even be some fights between the linemates, who knows when you comprise this focused mainly on checking power. We would probably be a solid 3rd line for most teams, but in the playoffs this would be the punishing line. Every team needs some checking come playoff time. The goalie pick was because I liked his name. No real criteria for that. I also choose to play-myself out of position as a center because we don't worry about faceoffs to much, it'll be about hitting the D hard off the faceoffs.
