It's that time of the year again, and along with the venerable @Flowseidon I'm proud to have been named the co-GM of the Latvian WJC team.

Without further ado, let me introduce our young group of talent leading the way into the tournament.

Defensemen:

Nat Emerson:  Falcons - @Thelastheraclid -  Emerson put up some impressive numbers for the Falcons this season, 1 Goal and 19 Assists in the regular season, toting an impressive +13 on the line and 57 shots blocked, it's easy to see why a player like this is a staple to have on such a young team, and we're happy to have him join us for what will likely be an impressive run.

Benois Minuscule:  Lions - @Chewbacca - Minuscule had an impressive season on an expansion SMJHL team, throwing up 31 points (9 goals and 22 assists) and though he had a -12 on the line, the team itself struggled from the start. We know a solid defensive talent like this can help our young Latvian team go places.

Helmuts Akmenlauks:  Scarecrows - @CookieMonster - This boy was on FIRE this season, with 10 goals and 30 assists in the regular season, not to mention a Four Star Cup under his belt, it's easy to see why Akmenlauks will prove a solid defensive and offensive presence going into the tournament.

Marco Raanteli:  Militia - @Radsin - Raanteli had 22 points in the regular season, with a +3 rating and 51 shots blocked, it's a no brainer for us to pick up this young defensive talent and have him help carry us to many victories.

Sachimo Zoidberg Jr.:  Rage - @Jala Zoidberg plays a deep role for the Rage, but his ability to fill it is exactly what makes him dangerous going into the tournament!

Dinārs Briedis:  Lions - @Jetta - Another Lions alum joins our team, bringing an impressive 20 points from the regular season whilst playing on the third line, he proves he can be dangerous on both sides of the puck and teams should not sleep on his skill!

Forwards:

Kalvins Zvejnieks:  Falcons - @Gobbles - This young rookie put up an impressive season, and there's no reason to believe he can't prove himself further in such a prestigious tournament as this one right before the draft!

Kristers Dzelme:  Outlaws - @Didza - A strong center, it's no surprise watching this young talent on the ice that we bring him onto the Latvian team this season. 56% on faceoffs in the regular season, need I say more?

Dean Colt III:  Armada - @Mac - Colt can put up points, there's no question about it. 10 goals and 17 assists in the regular season for the Armada, and an insane +19 rating, Colt can be lethal, and he'll chew up goaltenders for breakfast!

Andris Dzerins:  Armada - @bsellis14 - Another Armada alum with a strong shot, Dzerins put up 12 points in his rookie outing, impressive for anyone in the league, and we know he can help solidify a medal for this young team!

Arsène Arsenich:  Lions - @Kris - What a lethal talent to have for us going into the tournament, 19 goals and 12 assists, as well as 15 shots blocked, Arsenich has proven himself to be capable on both sides of the puck.

Eva Lykke Aparjode:  Lions - @Jogurtaa - Another rookie coming into the tournament, Aparjode is fatal when possessing the puck. 15 goals and 10 assist precede them and prove them capable to get the job done when it needs to be!

Jules L'Éclair: Undrafted - @LB. - L'Éclair is an upcoming draftee looking to make his mark on the league, and we know we can help him, showcasing such young skill is what makes this tournament great.

Uvis Zommers: IFA - @Advenny - Zommers, a free agent, is looking to make his name known once more, proving to SMJHL teams he's worth a second look.

Nikolaj Boyle: IFA - @NateAndStuff - Boyle is another candidate vying for a spot on a crowded SMJHL roster, and will likely prove himself in the upcoming tourney.

Bernard Brendorowski: IFA - @Le_Kris - Brendorowski is also a free agent this season, vying for a roster spot, watch out for this dedication world.

Gints Krumins: IFA - @Index - Krumins isn't about to go down without a fight, clawing his way back into the minds of SMJHL GMs as a capable talent.

Tomy LeeNing: IFA - @zØdiac - Just barely clawing his way onto the final roster spot, LeeNing will have a chip on his shoulder and looking to prove himself this year!

Goalies:

Yuri Ushakov:  Raptors - @BRayne - This Raptors rookie played a strong starting role for the team this year, touting a 0.882 save % and a 2.92 GAA, we know he can step up big in the tournament this season and help this young group of talent medal with him in net.

Hank Scorpio:  Armada - @Stinkywink Dupoopoo - Scorpio played an important back-up role this season for the Armada, showcasing a 0.891 save % and a 2.46 GAA, we know we have a strong, talented goaltender to secure our position in the medal rounds!

Thank you to everyone for reading, once again to Flowseidon for joining me, and to our young group of talent ready to make a name for themselves and their country!
