Drunken Stumblings from Ireland
#1

Kennedy is welcomed to the show.

Draft day in Ireland was a stressful day for Kennedy. He flew back home to Ireland to be with family and friends. *side note* he tried to bribe some Outlaw teammates to come back with him with pints and food, but they were all “busy”. Apparently flying to Ireland on a whim in between WJC and IIHF games is just to expensive and reckless. He will have words with them upon his return.

Kennedy spent the day in his favorite pub right on the Bay in Kinsale. Since the draft was being held in Hamilton, Ontario the draft was going to happen around 1am in Ireland. This made the schedule quite confusing, but Kennedy decided to spend the day in the pub, go out on the water for a bit to try and relax and come back to the pub for dinner and drinks while he waited. He was hoping he didn’t have to wait to long to hear his name. He got calls from two of his friends in the J that they already knew where they were going early. This added to the tension and nervousness as nobody had heard from the third pick in Chicago.

As the draft got closer and closer, there were rumblings of trades and rumors and Kennedy’s phone was ringing non-stop. A person close to him who wouldn’t disclose his identity, said “Corey seemed to be taking it all in stride, but he probably had a pint or two more quicker once his phone started to ring.” To calm his nerves, Kennedy went for a drunken stroll around town. He ended up at a restaurant called Fishy Fishy, where he wound up closing the place down at 9pm drinking and shucking oysters with the employees. Around 10 pm, Kennedy was seen singing traditional Irish music with a few regulars at an establishment called the Bulman. There it was said Kennedy got so excited at an Anaheim teammate calling he attempted to get the entire pub to sing him a tune. “Kennedy was so elated that he had “friends” that he tried to dance a jig, he is not a good dancer.”

Kennedy was found by his good buddy and dragged back to The Armada shortly before 12pm. With the draft only an hour away, he was seen drinking tea and having some sausage rolls. Dagger shots, from his mother in the corner at the state of her beloved son. As the time ticked down, the names and rumors started swirling again. Jax at 1 and Gunnar at 2? Could these be true, no mention of Kennedy, however Bob McKenzie did report that he could be falling in the draft. However, this would not be true as just prior to the 1st pick being announced it was heard that Kennedy got a private text message. It just said… See you in Chicago. Beer were had by all as the day was won. The night settled down much more after this as Kennedy watched his teammates, friends, and rivals all get drafted! Congrats everyone!
