I def had a false memory of the Recess gang playing four square when I read this thread, but Hey Arnold or Doug was my next guess after google said I was a liar.

They played kickball all the time and the black kid was a god.

Don’t remember if they played four square though.

Four square was my school’s unofficial “official” sport of recess. We had tournaments set up and everything. Alliances, rivalries, all that fun stuff.

They did, technically.

The episode where they pull out the old rule book and play by the rules in the 1930s because of a kickball game. They end up playing Four Square with a tree stump, and basketball with buckets and rags
