SHL S48 Game 105 - TEX @ MAN

SHL Game 105 Advanced Taterlytics Report:
Posessor: David Kastrba @hewasajazzman
Team: Manhattan Rage
Victim: Louie Garrett @dizzyDC
Team: Texas Renegades
Time: 10:36 of 1st period
Total possession time:  10:36
Hot po-take-to:
David Kastrba's first significant move in the game was his hit against Louie Garrett 10 minutes into the 1st period on his 6th shift. I personally think it was about time he passed off the potato, especially since he has the highest aptitude for hitting on the Manhattan Rage roster. David went on to hit 3 more times, 1 of which was against Louie again, which I assume was an attempt to keep the Potato from returning to him. Most of Kastrba's activity was hits, but he also had one shot and 2 face off wins. As a 2nd-line winger, one would expect a couple more shots, but perhaps he was just shaking off his Hot Potato slump with a highly physical game to get back into the rhythm of things.

Louie Garrett is the 1st line center for the Renegades, and one of the most skilled players on the team. He started off as a winger, but now fills the center roll likely due to demand in the roster. His game isn't very physical, so now that he's the possessor it should be interesting to see his progress. Louie had several face-offs and a shot before getting the Potato from Kastrba. His game wasn't amazing in the beginning, so Kastrba's passing of the Hot Potato to him likely was due to Kastrba's ice time and popularity as the Renegades's star center rather than a targeted assault to drag down a player's high-performing game. After possession, Garrett takes 3 more shots, which was probably either an attempt to not let the Potato get to his head or an overcompensation to prove it wasn't getting to his head while in fact it was forcing him to take worse shots. Throughout the game, Louie kept a decent pace of face-off wins and shots, but never connected any of them. The Renegades went on to lose 1 to 4. Lets see how he does in LAP, whether he can shake off the Potato or pass it off entirely.

SHL S48 Game 113 - LAP @ TEX

SHL Game 113 Advanced Taterlytics Report:
Posessor: Louie Garrett @dizzyDC
Team: Texas Renegades
Victim: N/A
Team: Los Angeles Panthers
Time: N/A
Total possession time:  1:00:00
Hot po-take-to:
Louie Garrett had no more luck getting a point in this game than he did in the last, though that's not for lack of shots. He did improve in the face-off department, getting on the other side of 50%, so at least his confidence was getting better with the Hot Potato. This could mean he's ready to pass off the Hot Potato very soon, perhaps as soon as his next game against the Chicago Syndicate.
