SHL S49 Game 186 - MAN @ NOR

SHL Game 186 Advanced Taterlytics Report:
Posessor: DeMaricus Smyth @Blastmeaway
Team: New Orleans Specters
Victim: Reginald Rove @Yurt6
Team: Manhattan Rage
Time: 1:28 of 1st overtime period
Total possession time:  1:01:28
Hot po-take-to:  Fortunately for all of us Hot Potato Trophy followers, DeMaricus did not end up eating the potato as was predicted in yesterday's review.  In his hunt for his next victim, Smyth was able to grab his 15th assist of the season early into the first period.  From there on out it was hockey as normal for Smyth while he was unable to find a new home for the potato in regulation.  Fortunately, neither team was able to seal the W and Smyth caught Reginald Rove with his head down along the boards with a vicious hit and the potato found it’s new victim.

SHL Game 186 Advanced Taterlytics Report:
Posessor: Reginald Rove @Yurt6
Team: Manhattan Rage
Victim: N/A
Team: New Orleans Specters
Time: N/A
Total possession time:  2:09
Hot po-take-to:
The Rage have seemingly drawn some power from The Potato as they are able to find the net off a shot by Alex Winters 2 minutes later and took home the win.  While not officially on the scoresheet, The Potato was given an honorary 4th star of the game.   Rove was heard discussing the injustice of this and thought that Winters should have given up the 1st star to The Potato.   This heated argument went back to the locker room where we were told that it was settled with a best of 3 series of thumb wrestling where Rove came out on top.  Rove is now petitioning the league to make the official change for the 1st star of the game.

SHL S49 Game 191 - MAN @ WKP

SHL Game 191 Advanced Taterlytics Report:
Posessor: Reginald Rove @Yurt6
Team: Manhattan Rage
Victim: Dayymo Ralchankinov @damienj10
Team: West Kendall Platoon
Time: 18:40 of 1st period
Total possession time:  18:40
Hot po-take-to:  The rumors of The Potato’s prowess on the ice have made it’s way through the league and the West Kendall Platoon was practically begging to get hit on the ice throughout the first period.   After a questionable cross-check by Alex Light after a face off that went uncalled, Rove slipped and fell into Dayymo Ralchankinov for a “hit”.   Immediately upon this happening Rove rounded up the officials and wanted the hit removed from the books as The Potato was becoming an alluring presence.   This was denied by the officials with the defense that no official had ever made a bad call before so why would they expect the stats trackers be any different?

SHL Game 191 Advanced Taterlytics Report:
Posessor: Dayymo Ralchankinov @damienj10
Team: West Kendall Platoon
Victim: Luke Thomason @"luketd"
Team: Manhattan Rage
Time: 8:49 of 2nd period
Total possession time:  10:09
Hot po-take-to:  With the debated transfer of The Potato, the Rage went all out in reclaiming their prized possession.  A mere 10 minutes later, Luke Thomason baited Dayymo into throwing a hit after beating him in yet another faceoff.  Words were exchanged and Dayymo’s pride got the best of him.

SHL Game 191 Advanced Taterlytics Report:
Posessor: Luke Thomason @"luketd"
Team: Manhattan Rage
Victim: N/A
Team: West Kendall Platoon
Time: N/A
Total possession time:  31:11
Hot po-take-to:  With Thomason’s acquisition of The Potato back to the Manhattan bench the Rage proceeded to completely devastate the Platoon for the rest of the game and did not allow another goal.  Manhattan won 6-1 and has firmly cemented The Potato’s role as a good luck charm.   Upon the end final whistle The Potato was passed around to each player where they kissed the budding skin and awarded it all 3 stars of the game.   The SHL still has not officially recognized The Potato, but a groundswell is underway.

SHL S49 Game 200 - WKP @ MAN

SHL Game 200 Advanced Taterlytics Report:
Posessor: Luke Thomason @"luketd"
Team: Manhattan Rage
Victim: Ludwig Koch Schroder @Rabidsponge21
Team: West Kendall Platoon
Time: 17:28 of 2nd period
Total possession time:  37:28
Hot po-take-to:  After taking the beating the day before, the Platoon was on the offensive to get The Potato back into their possession.  Luke Thomason came onto the ice with an air of confidence rarely seen before and after a 1-1 first period the Rage felt good about this game as well.   However, West Kendall came into the second period and scored a goal and planted a seed of doubt into the Rage.  In his confusion, Thomason made an aggressive defensive play for the puck and hit the Platoon’s Ludwig Koch Schroder to take the puck and passed on The Potato back to the Platoon.  This put Beaujeaux Biscuit into a psychotic episode.  Less than 30 seconds later Manhattan found the back of the net again and Biscuit threw his helmet into the stands and ran off of the ice.   He was replaced by Scottey Crawfling and is being seen by the team shrink.  RIP Biscuit.

SHL Game 200 Advanced Taterlytics Report:
Posessor: Ludwig Koch Schroder @Rabidsponge21
Team: West Kendall Platoon
Victim: Craig Finley @hats_4_days
Team: Manhattan Rage
Time: 18:40 of 2nd period
Total possession time:  1:12
Hot po-take-to:  After the Platoon broke The Biscuit spirits were high.  Schroder was making an aggressive play for the puck when he lands a glancing shoulder blow on Craig Finley and loses The Potato to him.  Although it was but a little bump, Craig quickly skated off the ice and closed out the 2nd period whispering to The Potato while riding the bench.

SHL Game 200 Advanced Taterlytics Report:
Posessor: Craig Finley @hats_4_days
Team: Manhattan Rage
Victim: N/A
Team: West Kendall Platoon
Time: N/A
Total possession time:  21:20
Hot po-take-to:  The 3rd period was completely uneventful for Finley.   While watching the game live no one even registered the fact he was on the ice at all.   After checking the play by play later that night it was shown that Finley did, in fact, take a few shifts but did not contribute in any significant way for the remainder of the game.  Analysts have watched the tape and a number of times you can see Finley hugging the boards all alone whispering to his shoes.   Rumors have swirled about what he was saying to The Potato but it’s doubtful we’ll ever know.
