THIS PT IS FOR SHL PLAYERS AND SEND DOWNS. IT IS NOT FOR SMJHL ROOKIES.

That's right folks, it's time for another edition of Make the Case, where you argue about a thing or some stuff.

Task: Choose 1 or more of the topics below. Begin your task with the word 'For' or 'Against' and then make the case for what ever side you chose! If you see somebody spouting off some BS in their response, respond to their response with 'BS!' and counter them!

Every 'For', 'Against' or 'BS!' that meets the 25+ word criterion will recieve 1 capped TPE; 10 people will be chosen as participation+ members and will receive an additional uncapped TPE for demonstrating active argumentative fervor!

Deadline: 10pm ET on Sunday, August 25

The topics:

Code:
Currently sitting at a .936 SV%, Johannes Leitner will break the single-season SV% record of .932 set by Michael McFadden in S44

Code:
No team is having a more disappointing season than the San Francisco Pride

Code:
One of the Tampa Bay skaters - Gunnar Soderberg or Olivier Cloutier - will win the Jesster award for the league's top rookie

Code:
The current standings will hold through the playoffs and we'll see a New England vs. Calgary matchup in the S49 Challenge Cup

Code:
Despite occupying the bottom of the conference, the Toronto North Stars are the season's biggest overachievers

Code:
This is the season in which Cameron Carter II FINALLY gets his Dar nomination

Code:
Speaking of the Dar award, old man Mike Izzy is moving past just Dars this season and will take home at least one of the MVP awards

Code:
GOD McZehrl's impressive performance this season means that notorious trade was actually... a win for both sides!?

Code:
After a horrendous start, the surging Anchorage Armada will finish in the top 6 of the SMJHL standings

Code:
A St. Louis Scarecrow will lead the SMJHL in points at the end of the season

Code:
Wrap it up, let's just start the playoffs - the top two spots in the SMJHL standings belong to Detroit and Kelowna

Currently sitting at a .936 SV%, Johannes Leitner will break the single-season SV% record of .932 set by Michael McFadden in S44

FOR: Leitner has been truly leits out this season for the Wolfpack, recording 6 shutouts in his 28 appearances so far. With a strong defense in front of him keeping shots away from the net to begin with and his quality skill set, he shouldn't have any trouble keeping up the pace.

Wrap it up, let's just start the playoffs - the top two spots in the SMJHL standings belong to Detroit and Kelowna

For: Detroit is absolutely killing it and even with the recent TPE scandal, they deserve to be playing for the cup. Hell take a look at the Patriots. In my eyes, if you ain't cheating, you ain't tryin. The red boiz looking to bring the ship back to Detroit and PB will be there in full attendance chanting SKREEEEE at the top of his lungs. Kelowna also deserves to be there bc they've been a solid team for a few seasons now, but its Detroit's time to shine!

For: Leitner has been in the league for a while and will definitely take advantage of their current situation to make a name for themselves in the coming end of the season.

No team is having a more disappointing season than the San Francisco Pride

For: With all the talent and skill, it just doesn't make any sense as to why this team has performed this poorly, I have to believe that this anomaly won't last much longer. (Unless the Pride are truly a cursed franchise.)

FOR. Much like Manhattan last year, San Francisco is a team that’s still coming into its own with the core of players from S43 and beyond. With that, there are bound to be growing pains as the team figures it out in terms of how to win consistently at the SHL level. I have full confidence that they’ll bounce back next season

DISAGREEEEEEE. If you think NiCoLaJ mUlLeR deserves another SMJHL scoring title you are silly. This scrub does nothing on the ice and relies on his teammates to carry him. His 61 points from last season were just because he is LUCKY. Honestly he just gets a whole bunch of LUCKY bounces that go in. Honestly it is pretty funny if you think about it. If you ask me whether or not he gets it, Nicolaj DOES NOT DESERVE OR GET the scoring title this season.

GOD McZehrl's impressive performance this season means that notorious trade was actually... a win for both sides!?

There is no doubt that McZ knows how to get the most out of his players, and when given that chance to run lines for a team, his player will always benefit. That being said. They gave up 3 1st round picks for him. No it is not a win for both sides in the long run. Short term, sure. Long Term it will not be viewed as such.

For: There is a really strong chance of this happening this season. Nicolaj Muller, Mika Kandinsky, and Barrett Blackwood are the best line in the league and they are all vying for scoring leader with 17 games left go. It's anyone's for the taking at this point and if this line gets really hot at the end of the season, they have 3 solid chances of being at the top. Not to mention, Gaspard Boone is currently holding the lead and is a Scarecrow because once a crow, always a crow.

For, kinda. While I still think the Minnesota Chiefs overpaid for McZehrl, the trade was not as horrible as it seemed at first. It's very well possible that he will finish his career in Minnesota and he might even win another cup.

A St. Louis Scarecrow will lead the SMJHL in points at the end of the season

FOR: With the reigning MVP and the runner up on the same line, plus a new stud muffin joining them on the wing, there's no doubt in my mind that the Scarecrows will have the leading point scorer at the end of the season. That line combination of Muller, Kandinsky, and Blackwood is fuel for the wildest and wettest of dreams. They know how to score, and they do it a lot. Hell, you could build an entire franchise around just ONE of these boys. The fact that all three reside on the same roster and play together on the same line just isn't fair to the rest of the league. I'd double, no TRIPLE down on this quote and say that the Scarecrows will possess the top THREE spots on the points leader board when this season is all said and done.

AGAINST

Sorry but tampa is hot and stampede is not right now. Once the best team in the league figures it out monkey d. luffy is gonna be hot as fire again and catch these really talented players and truly cement himself as the real rookie killer.
