SMJHL S49 Game 156 - HFX @ KEL

SMJHL Game 156 Advanced Taterlytics Report:
Posessor: Conor Tanner @Keygan
Team: Halifax Raiders
Victim: N/A
Team: Kelowna Knights
Time: N/A
Total possession time:  1:00:32
Hot po-take-to:
Conor Tanner is Halifax’s 2nd line center. Tanner is having a fairly disappointing season so far on an otherwise good Halifax team. Halifax is currently 3rd in the standings and Conor can’t afford to hold this Potato for long. His puck handling looks as if he’s snapped off the blade of his stick and super glued the Potato there instead. Pretty uninspiring stuff for a top 6 forward. Maybe he’s counting on the magic of the Potato to put up some points and magically redirect his hands for nice dangles.

SMJHL S49 Game 160 - HFX @ VAN

SMJHL Game 160 Advanced Taterlytics Report:
Posessor: Conor Tanner @Keygan
Team: Halifax Raiders
Victim: Jean-Paul Boivin @Nokazoa
Team: Vancouver Whalers
Time: 3:22 of 1st period
Total possession time:  3:22
Hot po-take-to:
Conor went to take a slap shot from the point and snapped his stick at the blade, sending the Potato flying straight at Boivin. The score keepers were quite perplexed by this series of events as they’ve never seen anything like it before. The Potato lodged itself in between Boivin’s visor and his face. In the end, Conor was credited with a hit as the Potato was deemed a part of Conor.

SMJHL Game 160 Advanced Taterlytics Report:
Posessor: Jean-Paul Boivin @Nokazoa
Team: Vancouver Whalers
Victim: Karl Krashwagen @CementHands
Team: Halifax Raiders
Time: 10:01 of 2nd period
Total possession time:  26:39
Hot po-take-to:
You can imagine the crowd’s delight when Boivin was attempting to dislodge the Potato from it’s temporary home in his visor. He was able to move it just slightly to the side so he only had vision with one eye. Safe to say his depth perception was quite off on a few of his shifts. He was whiffing checks left and right. Finally, after multiple shifts he was able to careen full force into Karl Krashwagen, subsequently shooting the Potato from in between his visor straight into Krashwagen’s chest.

SMJHL Game 160 Advanced Taterlytics Report:
Posessor: Karl Krashwagen @CementHands
Team: Halifax Raiders
Victim: Jean-Paul Boivin @Nokazoa
Team: Vancouver Whalers
Time: 11:50 of 3rd period
Total possession time:  21:49
Hot po-take-to:
Karl Krashwagen took great offense to being hit and thus passed the magic Potato. He spent almost a whole period plotting on how to get revenge. And revenge he got indeed. Shortly after being hit by Boivin he returned the favor with a little extra flair. Boivin went to make a change but the puck, unknowingly to him, got caught up in his skates. Seeing his opportunity Krashwagen became a crash wagon and barreled full steam into Boivin, making sure he jammed the Potato right back up into his visor.

SMJHL Game 160 Advanced Taterlytics Report:
Posessor: Jean-Paul Boivin @Nokazoa
Team: Vancouver Whalers
Victim: N/A
Team: Halifax Raiders
Time: N/A
Total possession time:  8:10
Hot po-take-to:
Oh, the laughter that could be heard coming from Vancouver’s stadium on this night was something else. Boivin was being chirped left and right; blind jokes and Potato puns being hurled from the stands. Boivin clearly looked upset and ended up not playing the final 8 minutes of the game due to sheer embarrassment.
