(sometime in the evening)
Hi everyone! I'm jfisherr, captain of the Crows and I'll be back co-hosting this year's S50 SMJHL Awards Show with fellow SHL member @DaftRaincloud.

With how well last year's award show was received, we'll be adding a little flair to the awards show again this year. We'll be going back and forth between the tried and tested format of text, some suspense, and shitty jokes, with @DaftRaincloud showing off a new and fun way to introduce the major award winners! A lil spice never hurt nobody and Daft is a real talented individual that has done some amazing work. F5 szn on Sunday to be the first one to see what he has in store.

Feel free to keep on reading for a refresher on how S50 of the SMJHL went! Hope you enjoy!

TEAM AWARDS

Quote:Four Star Cup Champions: Carolina Kraken Kraken

Oriens Trophy – Eastern Champs: Carolina Kraken Kraken

Occasus Trophy – Western Champs: Colorado Raptors Raptors

Congratulations to both teams for making it as far as they did! Carolina is officially back to back champs, and will be attempting to join the Kelowna and St. Louis as teams to three-peat in the last 15 or so seasons! We officially have another dynasty watch on our hands, and Carolina should be favoured to win again in S51.

Quote:Laurifer Trophy – Best Regular Season Record: Colorado Raptors (62 points) Raptors

This award has been a bit of a curse the previous three seasons before this one, with the Laurifier winner being dumped earlier than they should have. Colorado snapped that trend, as they were able to get to the finals. This season's Laurifer Trophy winners were the Colorado Raptors, who shook off their old, fossilized bones and finished the regular season with a record of 30-18-2, good for 62 points.

INDIVIDUAL AWARDS

Quote:Jared Hanson (Scoring Champ): @Waters Jagger Fouquette (72 points) Falcons
  1. Jagger Fouquette (DET) - 72 points
  2. Barrett Blackwood (STL) - 63 points
  3. Jakub Bruchevski (STL) - 61 points (tie)
  4. Aron Hernadivic (STL) - 61 points (tie)
With Muller graduating to the big leagues, this award will finally see a new winner. Fouquette runs away with this award, putting up an astounding 33 goals with 39 helpers.

Quote:Roberto Martucci (Goal Leader): @Waters Jagger Fouquette (33 goals) Falcons
  1. Jagger Fouquette (DET) - 33 goals
  2. Jake Primeau (ANC) - 28 goals (tie)
  3. Skao Anazibf (DET) - 28 goals (tie)
  4. Barrett Blackwood (STL) - 27 goals
Seriously, this was just one of the best offensive seasons in SMJHL history. Appreciate greatness.

Quote:Ronan O’Keefe (Playoff Scoring Champ): @RaginCajun Alexei Rykov (22 points) Kraken
  1. Alexei Rykov (CAR) - 22 points
  2. Ricky Bobby (CAR) - 20 points (tie)
  3. Jakub Bruchevski (STL) - 20 points (tie)
  4. Phineas Gold (CAR) - 19 points
Carolina, shocking nobody, had the top two playoff point scorers. However, seeing Bruchevski's name on that list is wild, as he put up his 20 points in only 13 games of action.
