when i hear peppermint i think red and white.
but other mints are a variety and it depends on the product. from googling and such i have found wintergreen to be packaged in green to teal to blue. gum has peppermint and wintergreen packaged blue and spearmint is green.
not sure what mint is in most ice creams so i dont know what this is getting at.
maybe mint ice cream should be blue?
upon further thought i think it depends on the product, seeing a blue or green or white stick of gum should be enough to tell that it is mint flavoured.
when you see a red and white mint you may figure its peppermint but if it was pure white you would still understand its a mint. (sidenote what even is the difference between mints they all taste the same).
in the context of ice cream this doesnt work though as white ice cream indicates vanilla to you. A red and white swirl could work but an ice cream swirl usually means two flavours. Pure Red and Blue ice creams might lead you to the conclusion of a fruit (though ive never really seen a red or blue ice cream). Green works the best for mint since any green fruit doesnt work with ice cream it brings to mind mint.
conclusion: mint ice cream cant be white BUT mint ice cream could be red or blue (since i cant think of any ice creams that are red or blue) but we have grown accustomed to mint ice cream being green and thus it should logically stay green.
