Hamilton will do well and everybody will be very calm and cool about it when they do

I think it’s pretty obvious that Hamilton will do well this season, but even in the short time I’ve spent on this site, I know that being calm and cool is not an option on how to react to their success.
Luke - Toronto will win fewer than 7 games

I think toronto will pull out more than 7 wins. They have a young core but are in a rebuild year still. With FHM pulling out simonesque upsets there is some opportunity for the young forwards of this canadian team to pull out more than 7 wins in 50 games. Im guessing about 11.
Hamilton will do well and everybody will be very calm and cool about it when they do

For - Hamilton is a team run by people that want to win. I like many on the site think that they let that blind them and pushed the boundaries of cheating to succeed in SimonT. That is finished now and in the past. It has no affect in the sim now. If they do well it is because they have a solidly run team and I'm fine if they do well. I'm sure most others would too.
Y-man - New England will still miss the playoffs

Against - I personally think that we are mildly overvaluing Chicago and their ability to fight for playoffs this season. If preseason is at least a little taste of what's to come, I think New England should be somewhat comfortably getting into the playoffs and leaving Chicago and the three rebuilding teams locked out. But, obviously, how did the comfortably in part go for them the last 2-3 seasons? It's really a question of coaching and seeing how the front office deals with the whole situation, but just by the numbers I don't believe Chicago has much of a shot even if they would have had a better strategist in their team then NEW has.

JayWhy - The Chicago Syndicate are going to be top 3 in the league in both goals for and goals against

I really don't see this happening - I was actually very high on Chicago's chances last year in STHS and I rushed to take their over in the casino, but I don't see it carrying over into the new engine. I think they're perfectly in the "just above average" camp and they've got a bunch of tough divisional matchups against Buffalo and Hamilton that'll drag down their stats. Plus one of their on-ice leaders is D Corey Kennedy and that guy is a well-established bum
JayWhy - The Buffalo Stampede will finish just outside the playoffs, at 5th place in the East

after the preseason that buff has had i can see why jay why has said this but honestly buffalo will either be 1/2/3 in the EAST.
sure hamilton has found a meta which is clearly dominant but i know buffalo can crush them and have a good season.
Toronto will win less than 7 games

I dont think this could possibly happen. While Toronto is bad at almost every position for now, and will surely finish last, upsets seem to be quite possible in the new sim engine. Plus Carpet is a solid goaltender who can and will steal a few games by himself.
Luke - Toronto will win fewer than 7 games

Disagree. As comical as this would be... there's no way they do THAT bad... right? They'll probably play a fair amount of teams backups which will help their odds of winning over 7 too.
JayWhy - The Chicago Syndicate are going to be top 3 in the league in both goals for and goals against

100%. We play a fast paced game and look to score at all times. Fuck defense. That’s what our coaches preach at least. You heard it here first.
"Puolivalmiste - TEX goalie White Goodman will be Rookie of the Year"

See now this is just outright false. This is clearly an inaccurate statement as our boy Alexei Rykov is taking home the Rookie of the Year trophy. No rookie has ever been a greater steal, a better player, or more fantastic player on and off the ice.
Luke - Edmonton will miss the playoffs

This is definitely a feasible prediction, as I believe Calgary, San Francisco and New Orleans are clearly the top three team in the East, leaving just one playoff spot for Edmonton, Los Angeles and maybe Winnipeg to fight for.
bbjygm - Hamilton will do well and everybody will be very calm and cool about it when they do

I disagree that everyone will be very calm and cool about it. They weren't in pre-season at all. We got called out for being a defensive team, that takes no penalties, and being strong on our feet as an exploit. Which really isn't an exploit, just how teams in real-life win hockey games. We got a strong team in Hamilton that was completely ignored. However, there are some individuals actually seeing that we are a strong team on paper for once, which is a great sign.
TEX goalie White Goodman will be Rookie of the Year

Texas has a lot of talented rookies this season and while I think a Texas player will win rookie of the year I don't think it will be Goodman. While his hair is feathered and deadly, I think a smarter choice would be Texas forward. Ivan Maximus.
bbjygm - Hamilton will do well and everybody will be very calm and cool about it when they do

I don't know how Hamilton will do this coming season, but the very idea of one single member of the SHL being calm or cool about literally anything defies belief. Honestly, someone should thunderdome the very idea of it.
bbjygm - Hamilton will do well and everybody will be very calm and cool about it when they do

This is a categorically incorrect statement that quite frankly raises my blood pressure simply being put on this thread. Thicc Cheezy wants to make it known, if Hamilton does well I WILL lose my shit and people WILL hear about it!
