Really? You wanna compare situations?

Please do.

except forget how waivers worked. But thats not really what I care about at this point tbh.
It's honestly laughable that this league still lets people off with "I didn't know that was illegal" even though it's explicit in the rule book.
It's not even like you can dismiss it as an old hidden rule. We just introduced it a few seasons ago, it should be fresh in everybody's minds. That's why red flags went up straight away when it was on livestream for like 2 whole seconds. The fact that like the 10 fucking coaches or whatever NOLA has now are all excusing it as 'didn't know' is laughable.

The 9 unique forwards / 6 unique D rule dates back at least 15 seasons. The rule you’re thinking of that we introduced recently was the sniper/playmaker bandaid that we used during the FHM transition period on STHS.

NOLA straight up tried to exploit the lines in game 1, it didn't work, so they TRIED AGAIN in game 2? And GM's lose pay and a slight fine to cap next season? Are you fucking kidding me? Fuck LAP for following the rules, right? Although I guess the fun and enjoyment of the league doesn't matter for LAP players, because nobody likes us anyways, right @bluesfan55?

@JKortesi81 you've been awfully silent on the whole ordeal. As someone who was VERY vocally against HAM exploiting the sim (although technically not illegal), your own coaches have used lines that not only breaks the rules in two games but also provides a competitive advantage for the rest of the series and your response is, "oops, i didn't know, not a fan of it"?.  I've always had a lot of respect for you man but the radio silence on this from both HO and NOLA management is disheartening. As GM you are responsible for the actions of your team. Step up and own it.

I guess the take-a-way from all this is that everybody should just save this strat for a game 7 and just take a slight slap on the wrist for it. Cause whats a couple mil in pay and 2m in cap compared to a cup?

yo, i'll honestly admit that that take was shit. it was, of course, highly biased given my thoughts on los angeles and i was expecting this to be brought up by someone. doesn't make what i said right, or what my future team did either, but i made a mistake with said take. truth be told, i was barely even paying attention to the situation but after looking at it the anger makes total sense and i think a re-sim would be fair if it can be done (i've heard jr say that it indeed was)

He's been silent on the site because he's losing his freaking mind over this. He trusted the staff to take care of lines and was (and is) fucking furious that this happened. Him and TDZ aren't appealing. They are owning it. Just because they haven't put out their own statement (like the coaches who made the line decisions did) doesn't mean they aren't taking responsibility for it.

I'd be pissed in your position too. But don't take your anger out on the guy who was, for right or wrong, oblivious to what was going on with lines.

As for the "radio silence", we're trying to not add fuel to the fire. We know we fucked up, we're letting this run its course.

As for your other comment, 3 people dealt with lines. I know you've already read that post. I'm not gonna defend it one way or another. Call it laughable if you want, call out TDZ if you want. But the fact remains him and Joe were dealing with other shit and put their trust in the staff to get lines done. They're taking the punishment because they know its on them. Call out Frith and Slash for this shit though.

It is their job as GM's to know what is going on and to take responsibility for the actions of anyone they have hired. See the Minnesota Daco punishment and Houston Astro's cheating scandal as examples.

I mean you can always keep your mouth shut and not dumpster your teammates even if they’re in the wrong

it’s an all-around ugly situation we’ve got here

You know it’s a weird day when I agree with WBF, but the buck stops at the top. This is on Joe and TDZ
